Today's reminder that Google disabled YouTube dislikes visibility because wokes complained that people were disliking woke media trailers
Bethesda posted this then deleted it after it got a ton of angry responses.
I'm just sad, man. People all over social media are mad, are mean, are angry. It feels like too much to handle. I think I'm gonna delete my Facebook and just play some (lighthearted) games with my kid. He beat his first level in Mario World last night and was so proud of himself.
I really hope we get a gaming-centric DEI Detected type group documenting all game developers who celebrated his death. I don't wanna see random tweets of Bluesky or go to some massive database of doxing, just a list of games made by literal psychopaths, and no the "BuT TheY ARen'T AlL BaD" doesn't cut it, those who aren't bad must speak up then otherwise fuck'em too.Hey guys, it's only one shithead, right?
Those of you who think these are just random lone developers and aren't reflective of these entire companies need to wake the hell up. This is every western developer and this is 100% why Sucker Punch hasn't made a statement. It's also why instead of Bethesda addressing their developer, who has been going off about Charlie Kirk for almost a week now, they posted this instead. This is who they are, through and through.
Missed this before, but I'll see if I can't find the Tweets that have links to the Bluesky posts and likes. I know for a fact one of the 4 was Kelly Snyder (They/she rainbow flag in bio) a Senior Producer of Sucker Punch, which all but shows the rot is top to bottom.I'm honestly curious. Do you have references to those SP devs?
they are everywhere
oh boy, oh boy
oh boy, oh boy
Haven't said they've fired anyone, just looking into it.
It really is that way. I honestly can not remember a time I looked forward to any triple A game, not one.are all incapable of making good games anymore.

Yes.Is it really to be expected that a company should issue a public statement every time an individual employee expresses a personal opinion that is some bullshit like in this case?

Well to this point, the idea has been rule of (primarily American) law, no?What I mean is that politicians must start doing something to solve the problem. The first thing is to recognize that there is a problem. As a shock therapy, the grave dancers must face harsh consequences, but that's not enough. The twitter mob actions are only useful to let the other side know that they will face serious opposition. Media, social platforms and political parties need to agree on a set of rules for everyone to adhere.
That's "all means necessary" and it will take a lot of resources and a massive pedagogic work, which the global Right has been avoiding for two decades.
The right have been asleep at the wheel for a long time. In general the right are extremely passive, they go to church every Sunday and are told God loves everyone and will save everyone and they believe in the fundamental goodness of humanity because we were created in his image etc. What I mean is that politicians must start doing something to solve the problem. I see Colin Moriarity did NOT can Chris Ray Gun for his vile tweet - CRG tried the I'm a comedian it was just a joke giving plausible deniability
It's sounds like your saying politicians need to get involved in punishing people for their speech. What I mean is that politicians must start doing something to solve the problem. I was watching their live stream today actually and someone super chatted and confronted Colin on some of the things Chris had said before about Bezos/Elon, Luigi Mangione etc.I see Colin Moriarity did NOT can Chris Ray Gun for his vile tweet - CRG tried the I'm a comedian it was just a joke giving plausible deniability
I guess but we need to be careful what we ask for cause this is how we get shit like the patriot act.Overall,Angry_Megalodon sentiment didn't read that way to me.
I think there's level of retaliation that's being sought as this a fever pitch moment. And it needs to be resolved and a rubicon was just crossed.
He's saying there needs to be a "come to Buddha/Jesus/Baby Spice Moment" from this and measures need to agreed on.
We need to have hard rules for this kind of stuff so (sadly only) both sides can espouse, can debate, can vy for leadership in this country.
The last years political violence, regardless of affiliation, is untenable in having a functioning LIBERAL DEMOCRACY; to have functional democratic republic.
The way we operate, unlike anywhere else on earth, is a special and important part of what makes us messy, beautiful and revered/reviled.

So if your friend said "kill all Jews" "kill all black people" "kill all Muslims" "kill all Christians" etc you have no limit?Good I can't even imagine firing my friend over some twitter shit.

Colin just said he's not here to police anyone and that's his friend and he's not going to screw him over -
Cynical take: I'm guessing Colin saw the numbers didn't get hit as hard so it's worth it to keep Chris around. The Patreon comment section was on fire with a large swathe of people saying they'd up their membership to keep Chris around, despite how they felt.
Personally, I respect Colin for being loyal to his friend. I respect him for being able to hold a friendship in that standing with someone who has posted some nasty shit that flys directly in the face of his co host (Dustin) beliefs.
I said somewhere back about this that I think Chris is funny, has OK takes on games and is fine overall. I won't unsubscribe or lambast them too hard over him staying, but to watch his discussion on the episode last week, read his tweets and know where h stands politically…he just seems/sounds like a hypocrite and shallow person.
Funny cuz ES4 is racist as shit against Khajit lmaoBethesda too? What a shame.
Isn't it funny, the studio that no longer understands the importance of dialogue within their games also doesn't understand the importance of dialogue in real life either.
Funny how there's a clear correlation here. The studios with staff who are nasty enough to revel in an innocent man's death publicly, are all incapable of making good games anymore.
