WW Playstation accounts are promoting Crossworlds (years ago, Crash Team hijacked Team Sonic Racing) :

On PS5, this time the only new rival is... Garfield.

RIP Sonic Cross Worlds 🤯

No, there is less content, no overboard, it's pretty barebone

OMG I am so disappointed! its so stiff! .. it drives nothing like the first two games. there is like no momentum .. there is no fun in driving. no feedback.
I am super bummed about this one. it is going be a hard pass from me.

Not that i'm disagreeing here, but in the beta the "steering aid" was ON by default so be sure to at least disable that.

nah its just super stiff... you can see it in the 2 videos below. in transformed the car rocks and leans way more in the turns and speed boosts.. with inertia. in cross worlds the car is very stiff and turns like its sitting lazy Susan not like tires are gripping the road in anyway. It was instantly the first thing I noticed. Its like there is no velocity in the turning and spinning..
look closely when the car does a flip in each vid. there is actually velocity to the spin in transformed where in cross worlds it i s just a stiff one speed flip.

I think you're talking more from an animation standpoint than from a gameplay perspective.

And i agree. Animations in this new one SUCK.

I personally think Nintendo fumbled hard with World. The dynamic difficulty sucked all the fun out of it for me. The way to unlock costumes and the extra characters with kamek is stupid. No check list for the overworld it pretty silly. Intermission races are 99% boring. The tracks, gameplay and music are amazing, but it was seriously hampered by everything else. Never thought I'd say this, but I'm more interested in the Sonic racer this time around... The demo sold me on it.

Crossworlds entered the top 50 on Steam US (again) and did the same even in japan.

Still in the PS Store top 15.

Don't like either of them. Mario Kart for the stupid decisions they made with tracks and 24 players being a cluster fuck and sonic because the driving feels amateurish coming off MKW.

Are you sure you want to test the only 30FPS version :/
I just wanted to try it for gameplay purposes. I would get the NS2 version.

Due to life circumstances and extended family serious illness. I am in the process of buying a half dozen games for the NS2. The games are all family friendly. This is one of the games I'm interested in.

Edit: i, myself played Allstars racing and Transformed extensively. I rank Allstars racing my second favorite kart racer ever! Transformed is probably the 4th or 5th. Both are excellent.

But the last game was bad. Sonic Tag racing. I want to make sure this new game does not "feel" like that game.

Thanks, but, that's not revenant here.

I just want a game that is good for the $80-$90 price with DLC. This game tapped into a GOLDMINE w/ Minecraft, TMNT, Avatar, SpongeBob and now Megaman as DLC. Crazy good idea on Sega's part!!

I just want the game to be good. I own Mario kart world, and it is ok. It feels like Nintendo fell in love with Forza Horizon and animal crossing in a lot of ways. And created a hybrid. But it still feels lacking somehow compared to MK8D.

Sonic crossworlds demo while not perfect, it "feels" like a throwback to a different era, maybe a late 360/ps3 era game. Simple, not convoluted, and pick up and play fun.

That said, I DO hope Sega tweaks the handling a bit on the karts. It is not as good as Transformed or Allstars in my opinion. But, better than Sonic Team Racing. But, It is also not anywhere near as good in handling as MK8D or MK:World.

The sad reality today is a lot of games hyped these last few years aren't all that influencers and websites say they are. For a multitude of reasons. But, Sonic racing *could* provide that similar type of fun that MK8D provided for several years. That is my hope for $90. Base NS2 + DLC.

I will probably buy this game but I am already exhausted at the idea of having to look at, and somehow understand, the abysmal mobile F2P menus it has.

Got this yesterday on Steam. Like it but in no way does it compare to Mario Kart World. MKW controls so much better, especially when it comes to drifting. Just no contest in my opinion.
