The 3D modelers made her look older. It's like a 30 something year old woman put on a sailor uniform one day and decided to attend Silent Hill High. Seriously though, the promotional renders and 2D cover artwork look more like the pretty face model compared to the in-game result.

Like a lot of horror fans, SH2 holds a very special place in my heart, so I decided to pass, as I believe that no matter how good it is, I'd still be disappointed.

I'm similar with how I feel about the OG game. Vastly preferred SH1 to 2, which I thought was watered down to a thriller instead of a horror like the first. Still enjoyed it though, and loved the remake.

I prefer Resident Evil 1996 to REmake, but I don't regret buying a GameCube just for that one game.

Yes, but you could play it a little earlier as unlock time depends on the region of the store. If you buy it from the HK/SG PSN store it will be playable at midnight HKT/SGT Tuesday, which is Monday 5pm for me. If you lived on west coast US, you could play from Monday 9am PST this way.

I'd say if you can only pick one for now, go for Cronos first and then buy F during a winter sale before the end of the year.

Cronos has multiple endings (Just like F and other SH games) as well as Harder difficulty only available in NG+. Plus, there's a bunch of cool weapons you can try in NG+ (provided you found and unlocked them all) cuz there's no way you can use and upgrade them all in the NG to the max (not to mention the suit and combat gadgets), so there's also this to mix things up and look forward too, not just endings.
