CONTROL Ultimate Edition next update will include HDR, VRR, 120 Hz, unlocked frame rate and PS5 Pro support.

I mean i loved Quantum Break so this might be right up my alley.

QB is fantastic and highly underrated.

If you plan to play Control, pick up the Ultimate Edition, it includes the DLC as well and DLC was pretty good in this. Basically a small bridge to Alan Wake 2.

Still no update?

Remedy said "we are basically in the process of submitting for certification, so for Sony and Microsoft to get it through their systems so that we can release it."

Not sure what they mean by "basically", or how long it takes for SONY and MS to give a green light to a patch.

My first Switch cloud game, and still runs absolutely fantastic after 5 years (even has a ray tracing mode), and I beated the game + its DLCs, so I don't have any incentive to go back, but fantastic game and fantastic experience.

Out of curiosity, what hardware do switch cloud games run on? Is it just a remote switch?

The last update was supposed to add HDR support. Did that ever happen?

Regarding cloud/remote gaming :

- Xcloud = A-OK (good input latency, only the res was bad-ish).

- PS remote play/Cloud streaming: brilliant, great image quality, good input latency

- Switch cloud version games : feels like going 15 years back, shit's literally unplayable with bad iq, huge image and input delay, freezes etc etc.

The comparisons are using the same home network btw.

Don't know what's up with that but, yeah, not a good impression.

I honestly don't see the point you're trying to make while quoting me

They added a 40 FPS mode to Alan Wake 2, but only on the pro, I hope they add a 40 FPS mode here across the board and also bring the Alan Wake 40fps patch to base consoles too .

Love Control, glad to see they're still supporting it after 5 years.

Did they ever fix the PSSR issues for the PS5 Pro?

I wonder how they pay for this stuff? Must be busy work for the groups that finish games while their other stuff is in early production.

All AAA devs should be doing stuff like this. No way they don't have busy work for their devs in between projects. But they'd rather fire 10% of the staff instead. :(

PS cloud gaming and remote play do not have good input latency. it's literally 60ms+, that's awful

Remedy's best game since Max Payne 2. Vastly better than Alan Wake 2 and better than Quantum Break and Alan Wake 1 (not to mention the garbage that was CrossfireX and FBC: Firebreak lol - their quality has really dropped off the last few years).

I am such a fan of this game. The setting, story and most importantly the visual design and gameplay is just top tier.

The destruction after the battle is something to behold.

Will def do a replay when this update drops. Got it when it released on PS+ and enjoyed it a lot. Went in with low expectations since everyone slammed the main character design and found it didn't bother me at all and the story lore, tie in with Alan Wake and overall action gameplay was really fun. Alan Wake 2 felt like a step backwards in gameplay after Control.

They improved it (timestamped):

I doesn't mean they haven't improved it. But raytracing noise with PSSR is still quite present unfortunately which is not with FSR2 enabled. There is still a wobbling effect in the ground with PSSR.

Alan wake 2 was great outside of a few things that added bloat and those annoying jump scares
