I'm voting Steam controller because I know for certain I'm buying that. Gotta see the Steam Machine price. No interest in Steam Frame personally.
 
All of them! But as a stupid VR nerd, I'm most excited for the Frame. I reaaaalllly hope it's under $1k, because it's gonna be hard to justify given the dogshit state of VR software.

But I'm such a sucker for new, sexy hardware. And the Steam Frame looks incredible.
 
I wish listed all 3 on Steam.
But for right now I'm probably only going to get the Frame VR and the controller.
The Steam Machine is a bit on the weak side for right now.
 
Steam Machine good concept but I already built my own with COTS hardware + Bazzite. Surprisingly underpowered. Looks like same limitations (no VRR support), but mine is much more powerful and over a year old ( 5800X3D + 7900XT compared to what seems to be a Ryzen 5 7600ish + 7400XT). CPU is better but GPU is worse than PS5.

Limiting the CPU to 30W TDP is certainly a choice even for SFF desktop hardware.

We'll see how the Frame compares to the Quest 3, finally going fully wireless. I hate meta and would be happy to ditch my Q3 but it's far and away the best hardware and ecosystem out today.

Definitely the controller, because it adds value to my setup.

Them doing a console is for other people, I already have a good machine.

Don't care about VR (but it running an ARM snapdragon could be big for tablets/smartphones running Proton in future).

Interested in all three but most excited about the Frame for many reasons. VR obviously but also cause it's a lightweight open pc platform with eye-tracking you wear wirelessly. Excited to try its android integration and foveated streaming. Because of its open nature and expansion ports the possibilities are exciting.

Yeah, if GabeCube is $500 I might be tempted for a small emulation box. If it is more, probably not. Controller will get either way.

That said, the most interesting is the headset, how well it performs on wireless, the foveated streaming, and quality of the lenses and motion tracking. I am unlikely to spend $1K on GabenFrame, but it is the most interesting hardware out of the bunch.
 
Steam Machine because it'll be a nice way to get some experience with a non-Windows system as I transition away from it next year.

And then use that experience to set up a custom box (either a desktop or a more powerful portable-ish NUC-like device) running a Linux flavor like Steam OS or Bazzite.

Also very interested in the controller too, if simply out of morbid curiosity. I'm sure it'll actually function great too but I've never used anything with two trackpads before so there is that. Steam Frame seems cool, but it's lower on the priority list. I'd like to learn more about the pop-out processing module though and what uses it'll have when removed from the headset.

Because that is a very neat feature, potentially.
 
Not too excited but I guess Steam Machine box itself is the most interesting. It all comes down to cost of the unit.

Don't care much about the controller, let alone the VR unit.
 
Steam Machine for me. I think it's an appealing product for console gamers who want to try out PC gaming in a "padded room, where you can't hurt yourself too badly" (to quote Olly from DF). I'd like to try PC gaming but computers give me headaches, and I don't want to go full-PC and deal with the hassles inherent to that. This seems like a friendly middle ground.
 
I have only real interest the Steam Frame, price permitting, as I dont like track pads at all and have a high end pc, but if the GabeCube is reasonably priced I would probably get 1 for others in the house.

Controller for sure, first want to see how it performs with Age of Empires games.

I like the design of the Steam Machine, I needed a mini PC for TV anyways. Currently have a FireCube TV for movie/TV streaming services. If it's less than $499, will consider it, especially for $399 during sale prices. And the controller coming with it would be even better. I have no intention of keeping it on SteamOS though, maybe for few weeks.

Join us, we have all the JRPGs. Almost literally all of them ever made.
 
Machine. I really like the idea of having all of my Steam games in the living being rendered natively. It's pretty awesome to be able to hook up a console and have 100s of games that goes back many decades. I'll finally dip my toes into VR with the frame as well. I always said that VR needs to get to a point where they are just wireless goggles and here we are.

I'm iffy on the controller. It looks big and I need to hold it. I'm also a d-pad snob so that's going to make or break it for me.

I'm getting most of them that I want in both PS5 and Switch 2 including Vanillaware games.

I already my hands full trying catch up with all the JRPGs in PS5 and Switch 2, another system is just too much.

Consoles are ok if you just want to play games how other people dictate you should play them.

But if you want to play games how YOU want to play them, and not what other people say you should do, then you need a PC to do that.

I could have 1 system or 10, and I have closer to 10, but I'd never drop PC. Too many games are far too inferior to play on console for me. I need my mods and fixes.

The controller seems like a no brainer. I LOVE how it charges.

I'm also considering the machine for myself to free up my desktop for my son, and then have the machine on the living room TV for me to enjoy some games.

I think what would push me to it is if Steam machine can do GeForce now so for those games like Alan wake 2 or cyberpunk I want to see maxed out I could since I have a great internet speed.

It's this little dongle thing that functions as the low latency spot but also clicks to charge by touching it.
