Gears could be very cool, specially if they move away from the matriarchy and go back to the dude bro-isms of the first games.
 
I had no idea Forza Horizon 6 was coming. Mind blown!

Love me some Forza Horizon, but they urgently need to fix multiplayer matchmaking

You're basically spending more time waiting to join a race than actually racing

Second, Since Halo is a remake, almost a remaster of a previously released game... i beleive it's a stretch to call it a new game. And, truth be told... Halo and Gears arent strong as they used to be...

That's why Horizon 6 and Halo Remake are in the first half of next year.

Gears is different enough game that it shouldn't be affected by GTA6 but will likely still release month early in October vs GTA6 in mid November.

Fable may get delayed or may release in September.
 
Let's make it through Q1 2026 before we start having delusions of grandeur...


However, I would like to play a new Fable game but the development of this one has been so chaotic that I won't be subjecting myself to apnea via restricted Valsalva maneuvers.

I think the OP is also missing the key point that for the first time, those "pillar" franchises for all things Xbox are now headed everywhere and anywhere* (*except Switch 2) because Microsoft have found the promised land, which is to go multiplatform, and it immediately dilutes ANY reason to own their next console circa 2027

only gears give some semblance of hope. coalition might have been cooking something special.
horizon formula ran its festive course to the ground, needs a huge shake-up or it'll blow ass.
fable is in an obvious development hell, nothing good will come out of that sort of thing, i'd say it'll be an achievement if it actually makes it to release.
halo, campaign avoided, is a quick nostalgia cash-grab, that 25 y.o old campaign wasn't holding up even in 2001, let alone now.

There COULD be great reasons to own their next console depending on its price
 
Playground in 2026 may be Obsidian from 2025 if they actually do get out both Fable and Forza.

Most excited for Fable, then E-Day. Forza when it hits PS5, and I don't know how to feel about Halo yet.
 
i'd be surprised if fable actually releases.

It feels that's next to get chopped, still all that we've seen is weird pre rendered clips, even the "gameplay" split second clips are suspect.

Voted Forza even thought I am very interested in what they bring with E-Day.

I just hope they can deliver on all four but...

Well, since Halo: Campaign Evolved is a remake rather than a new game, then that makes it certainly not the first time this happens:
  • 2011: Forza Motorsport 4 – Gears of War 3 – Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
And if re-releases of any kind suddenly count, then you also have:
  • 2015: Forza Motorsport 6 – Gears of War: Ultimate Edition – Halo 5: Guardians
 
All of these are incredibly strong titles being released. If they all launch, it would be an absolutely phenomenal year.

My only doubt is Fable. It's the one we know the least about, and I still don't believe it's wise for a studio to release two top games just a few months apart, as this could potentially sabotage or overshadow the success of their own projects.

Add to that, it's a year with other big titles and GTA VI... Perhaps early 2027 would be a better time for Fable than November or December, competing with GTA VI.

There's also Clockwork Revolution...

My predictions are:

1-FH 6 April/May/June

2-Halo Remake August/September

3-Gears E-Day October/December

4-Clockwork Revolution October/December

5-Fable January/February/March 2027
 
It's not about quantity.
Xbox needs to deliver more than just "some good games".
They need to bring out blockbusters again, and at least Halo is just a remaster.
Horizon 6 needs a bigger leap than from 4 to 5 to get players excited.
Fable has to be a great fantasy RPG.
Gears needs more than the half-hearted multiplayer and OKish story of 4 and 5.

High standards and quality assurance are key.
But from a corporation that even has its own brands translated by AI and where a large part of the workforce has been replaced by temporary workers?
Not really, no.

They will continue down this path and punish their best studios for the brand's disastrous marketing and market decisions.
In the end, managers will wonder why Xbox has to be laid to rest.

Thats right, there will be no games released for six months either side of GTA.

If it plays anything like RDR2 the industry has nothing to worry about if you ask me.

Halo is a remake, without multiplayer and with a sprint button, because then they can say they invested something to "improve" an already perfect campign.

Gears is from an incompetent developer who doesn't know shit about making good games and never released a good game in the past. Gears is done since epic and Cliffy B ain't no more.

Fable comes with a butt fucking ugly character design.

And FH6 will be basically the same as FH5. More cars, more customisqtioks, more everything, but in it's essence it's just an arcade racer.

So no, I couldn't care less about Microsofts games next year.

Fable is shit.

Gears has been shit since The Coalition took over.

Forza Horizon is amazing but 5 was a letdown. Japan is my dream location for the game so my expectations are going to be extremely high.

Halo remake looks like shit and 343i (fuck off you can't hide behind a name change you cunts) are absolute garbage.
