Was there not a big hohaa from certain circles about releasing all the Epstein files showing us what was really going on and who was behind the pizza island paedo shenanigans?? i'm not following it too closely because i want to put my foot through the telly anytime the russian dancing monkey comes on but wasn't this a campaign promise or did it all come out and was it simply buried in the avalanche of daily shitshowness? After the release of the JFK files and subsequent wet fart that all turned out to be is anyone really holding out much hope to see additional arrests?
 
The first phase was already released with other phases to be released after, assuming the FBI complies

Trump said late last year that he probably won't release the Epstein files because it might hurt a lot of people... But JFK and other's files are fair game.
 
They were trying to release it and to NY office didn't send all the files. The Director there resigned because of it. It would be good if they just give list of the names of all the people that went to Epstien Island.

Other than Stephen Hawking.

In a sense releasing the Epstein files might complicate current, active investigations or prosecutions.

JFK stuff is ancient history, no one is gonna be putting an 80 year man on trial unless he has his own video of him shooting JFK from the grassy knoll as a teenager.

It's all but guaranteed just about every name you've ever heard related to wealth, industry, politics, and celebrity would be implicated in these files. The entire ultra elite class flowed though his revolving door for decades. Potential for political systems to be entirely up ended and financial market collapse from the fallout.

Though to be fair, if a black book with all names are released you will get a lot of collateral damage as Epstein might have his fav gardener or trusted repair guy in the book too. So those guys might get lumped in with the pervs.

That's the absurdity of this. The law explicitly states that those politically exposed or government officials MUST be named.

Hopefully this just douses more oil onto the fire.

But those who want someone to leak all the documents, while I absolutely agree, thats far more difficult to do anonymously and repercussions of that would be severe for that person and arguably anybody they are connected to or associated with, familial or otherwise.

These are some of the richest and most powerful people in the world from multiple places. It isn't as easy as folks make it seem.

Epstein did business with a lot of people and also gave a way a lot of money so he could run in "philanthropist" circles. The Clintons also are involved in those circles. Not saying Clinton isn't sus AF and fuck that guy anyways, but any number of people in pictures with Epstein may not have done anything or known anything.

Bill Clinton literally went to Epstein Island 16 times, there's no way he was just "in pictures" with the dude

Bill Gates also made over a dozen trips to Epstein Island and his wife divorced him not long after these revelations, gee I wonder why that might have happened?

The other guy who is known to have made trips to Epstein Island and was also directly accused by survivors was disgraced British Prince Andrew who recently had his royal credentials revoked by his family

Another notorious Epstein associate was former Clinton Treasury Secretary and Harvard President Larry Summers who recently "retired from public life" for no particular reason lmao

More than 500 pages completely redacted despite having orders to redact as little as possible? Victims' names should be censured, everything else should be fair game.

This isn't a Dems vs Republicans issue, it's a bipartisan issue where both sides seem to be knee deep into this monstrosity, too bad many people can't seem to see beyond the blue vs red bullshit.

See, that's the thing. I actually agree with you on everything you wrote. Soon-to-be President Trump ran on releasing the files but then flip-flopped on it after being elected. I wanted the files released long ago, but there's also the other side which as I mentioned was completely silent for 4 years when they held the Presidency and were completely uninterested in the files for over 4 years. They didn't decide to start "caring" about the files until after President Trump got elected again and suddenly they were all gung-ho about releasing the files

So this is what bothers me:

Republicans - Obviously don't want the files released. It's very likely many Republicans would go to prison. But they didn't say a whole lot about it, except for Trump who campaigned on it. So I'm unhappy that President Trump reversed on it the moment he reached office

Democrats - Obviously don't want the files released. Many prominent Democrats would go to prison, including former President Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Larry Summers. But the Democrats didn't say anything about it the entire time Biden was President, and suddenly they started screaming non-stop about it the moment President Trump was elected a second time

So the reality is that both Red and Blue are super guilty as hell and have been trying to bury it all this time. The hypocrisy goes both ways in addition to the crimes which many powerful and famous people should be imprisoned for. That said, it's also pretty obvious the Democrats have been desperately trying and failing to "get" Trump and they don't actually care about bringing anyone to justice, especially their own people who they protected for the 4 years of Biden's Presidency

Nonpartisan hot take: If you are a politician and you campaign on an issue and then, once elected, you completely switch sides or make no effort to do the things you say you would do, you should be charged with felony fraud and spend years in jail.

People are allowed to change their minds but if you can change your mind so easily as soon as it financially benefits you, maybe you shouldn't be running for public office and there needs to be consequences to discourage that.

Also that photo with Clinton and Diana Ross is from a 2002 fundraiser event and Jackson even performed there. I don't think there is any information that Epstein was there.

And previous President did the same thing, they never wanted this files to be released. Why both parties are so against it? Because Clinton, Trump and a lot of other party members (from both of them) were visiting this island and fucking kids...
