I feel like the midterms this time will be very unpredictable. Plus it is increasingly clear that only the governors are able to do anything as the congress becomes more and more irrelevant.
The Senate is likely to stay Republican this time. The House is the wildcard. Which also depends on the effects of the redistricting efforts, what happens over the next 6 to 8 months, and what the Supreme Court decides on race-based gerrymandering later this year. That ruling could suddenly create way too many seats for Republicans to make Democrats capable of taking the House for quite a while.
