Total sales for player-versus-player-versus-environment survival extraction shooter ARC Raiders have surpassed 12.4 million units, developer Embark Studios announced. The game also achieved a record high of 960,000 concurrent players in January.

ARC Raiders launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on October 30, 2025, and surpassed four million sales in under two weeks.
"Reaching 12 million downloads is a milestone we owe entirely to the players," said executive producer Aleksander Grondal in a press release. "The community of Raiders has helped shape this game from the very beginning, and their passion, feedback, and ingenuity continue to guide how we build, support, and grow this world for the long term."

To celebrate the milestone, Embark Studios is offering the "Gilded Pickaxe" Raider Tool as a free-in-game reward for a limited time.

Ongoing updates for ARC Raiders will continue to "refine systems, strengthen the game's foundation, and ensure the experience remains challenging, competitive, and rewarding for Raiders." More information on future updates and new content will be announced in the months ahead.

Me and two others took down the Queen, what a rush. Just glad there wasn't any rats. 😂

Great game and all the positive attention it's getting is deserved. You really were on point with this one Men_in_Boxes Men_in_Boxes

Huge success.

How much for the new COD / Battlefield?
Battlefield is a bit beyond 15 to 16 million (likely more) it outsold BF1 within its opening week, so its much more by now, EA didn't update the numbers.

COD didn't provide anything, simply that BF sold more then it.

Happy to see that, maybe other devs are gonna start using machine learning for their enemies on games since that is a huge selling point of this game.

Unless sales dropped off a cliff after a few weeks due to word of mouth, its certainly dropped off in terms of players in both PC and console.

In the same way the last of us 2 touted in amazing early sales and the went radio silent for 2 years before declaring it just hit the 10 mill milestone. Which was poor considering its original rate on release.

BF6 was bigger of course but I was seeing it broke 10 mill end of Nov, I dont think its got anouther 5-6 million since then, it sold 7 million in its first 3 days and took 2 months to get anouther 3, so 5+ million in anouther 2 months is unlikely.

The game is amazing although it gets repetitive. I got kinda tired of it after 40-50 hours. But i will come back at some point when they release new maps

Wow deserved!!
Loved the game even though i (as many here) am not into extraction shooters.
I Wish THE FINALS gets like a sequel or some sort of a re-release cuz ppl are sleeping on it

Hands down my GOTY. Possibly the best MP game this last decade if not more.

Game is just fun.
My thoughts exactly. I seriously haven't been this hooked since Battlefield 1942 or it's Mods (Desert Combat, Forgotten Hope..)

Infact, I'd swore off any, if not all, Multiplayer games. Most folks I know play pure ADHD fests or Free to play guff, and I just got old and miserable..

..But this game?

I never really had any interest in talking in multiplayer games either, and again, this game..

Met some crazy Swedes, nice chain smoking Italians, dirty back shooting French, singing Americans, some truly EU hating Irish (Bit of a weird one..), and some truly bizarre Lithuanians

I love it :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I do like arc, fighting the arcs themselves is decent, but players kind of just piss you off, shooting first before asking if you are friendly. I prefer hunt showdown for the pvp game fights are so much better in hunt.

Greatest video game that requires an internet connection to play. Indisputable in that milieu. There's no rational argument against it.

Mile wide, inch deep PUBG wannabe trash. The robots are cool though. Too bad nobody fights them but instead, each other. End times for sure 100%!

Well that explains the ridiculously stable player numbers since release. It´s not necessarily retention but the steady influx of new players, too. Can´t say I personally understand it as I got bored around the ~20-30 hours mark, but from the way the devs go about monetization and communication alone that game deserves the success.

Their communication is terrible though.

But yeah always was because of the new players. When they drop a new map and/or some big changes down the line the numbers will go through the roof due to everyone returning.

The only thing correct here is the robots are cool.

Your asshole must be as deep as the Grand Canyon to find this much bullshit to pull out.

I haven't played in weeks. Stopped around 120 hours? Bored at 75 hours. Game in its current state is aimless. Marathon can't come soon enough.

Yall love to hate on TLOU2's sales. It must hurt to know how successful it was.

Probably one of the greatest moves to decide to sell this game. It made people buy in to the game and built an audience.

Game is good, I wish I just cared about the universe more. I personally just don't care about robotic threats. Happy for them though! I feel like the amount of game for what it is, and the price they asked for is on the money.

As a goal orientated solo player like yourself (unless I'm mistaken) I would have noped out around the same time. However my old group from the Halo days has got back together and we are having a right laugh.

Loop for me is die a lot protecting their asses in trios/duos the spend a day or two rebuilding an arsenal solo to go again.

I don't engage with any of the games missions or trials and the like.

You right though it will probably take a back seat as soon as Marathon drops.

Played a few hours and it wasn't really my thing (I played a ton of Tarkov which probably is part of it similar to how I put almost 1000 hours into PUBG prior to the big BR explosion and I never really cared about any of the other BRs) but this is great for the team so Congrats to them.

The fanbase may be obnoxious but it's still great to see the game get so much success.

Edit: My interaction with the fanbase would mostly come from here and having to constantly hear about it from coworkers and friends however.

You think 12.4 million people are all obnoxious? The community is mostly very pleasant if you engage in game. If you mean reddit and discord, well everyone on there is.

We are truly blessed.

Play Marathon for 3 months, then take a look at what Embark added for those 3 months. This one two salvo is legendary.
Should be a good year all in all. The pair will rotate nicely I think.

Hunger must be going into EA soon as well although I need to see more before I get excited.

You know for a fact that the statement doesn't mean every single person just like how not every member of the Sonic fanbase is obnoxious.
I don't really go on Reddit much, and if I do it's isolated to a couple military related subreddits (specopsarchive, combatfootage, militaryporn, etc) for the most part so I would never see anything Arc Raiders on there. I also don't use discord outside of calls with friends aka I don't belong to any discord channels at all. My interaction with the fanbase would mostly come from here and having to constantly hear about it from coworkers and friends.

I'll add a disclaimer to my post so people don't get butthurt about it.

People talk about a game they like its only natural. Hardly obnoxious.

Indeed anyone would consider confirmed 10 million sales sequel to a confirmed 30 million sale original a huge success...

Probably just a little less than sony was hoping by a 10 million or two.

But the point about Battlfield not being at 15+ million stands, likely less than ARC raiders.
