Bot.Ps5 is selling bangers yet Sony is having their Xbox one moment, how is this possible![]()
Fuck Sony
Fuck them right in the ass with a cactus
Hope they choke on a barrel of rotten dicks
Fuck them in every which way till they are a bloodied stomp that's getting beaten by their own testicles until they look like bloody apple sauce
Close down Bluepoint and move the staff over to Nixxes. Best of both worlds for PC gamers.Nixxes is for ports. Bluepoint is remakes
They weren't. Xbox went full retard back in 2010-2011, when they went off to chase Nintendo's customers and kept the same mentality with the Kinect bundled with the X1. The Xbox division has been incompetent for 15 years and counting.Totally false and a pure lie. You've just stated MS wasn't even half competent over the last 15 years. Do you realize how long 15 years is? It's okay to credit Sony with Playstation overall, while also hating this STUPID move.
Just wait until they close Bend and Media Molecule, censor the hell out of the God of War trilogy remaster, and announce a $1000 PS6!I didn't think my confidence in Sony as a video game company could get any lower. This really sucks.
Sorry it's a tough pill to swallowBot.
I get this, but again we don't have access to the financials. It's likely that EA producer from earlier this year was right..."A 100 million dollar game needs to sell 6 million copies to break even".
BluePoint wasn't a 10 person studio. They were probably going to be making a 100 million dollar game. What obvious formula was laying on the table that was going to produce 10+ million in sales?
Break even is not the goal.
Since the world is not fair, no.Guerilla is next after their garbage live service horizon flops
Whoa whoa whoa buddy, I know passions are hot right now, but do we really want to spark an "are games art?" thing right now??Who dont value art.
Nixxies moved to becoming a support studio recently, they might be next.Close down Bluepoint and move the staff over to Nixxes. Best of both worlds for PC gamers.
Ramakes and/or ports to PC.
Helmen literally has said slow growth, so yep expect a lot more PC ports maybe even switch ports soonClose down Bluepoint and move the staff over to Nixxes. Best of both worlds for PC gamers.

Hermen would sooner burn Sony and the world to the ground before letting anything happen to Aloy.Guerilla is next after their garbage live service horizon flops
Dont need to make ports anymore. Only games that will sell needs ports and most of the studios can make them theirselves using all these new tech and things they have now. Also ps5 games wont ever need to be remastered or port. Bluepoint is pointless now and in the future.Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Sony acquire them not long ago? Makes no sense at all if their purpose was to make ports
If Helldivers 2 had cross-progression to the PC, GT7 had a PC port with VR, and GTA6 was coming out day and date on there as well, I'd jump ship fully right now.I didn't think my confidence in Sony as a video game company could get any lower. This really sucks.
It's true, line is going up, Sony best. I kneel. You are gaming master brain man. Be happy many days of life.Sorry it's a tough pill to swallow
yep he's making Jim Ryan look like a saintHulst is a cancer.
Unfortunately that's how business works. So let me get this straight, Sony wastes YEARS of the studio's time and talent forcing them to make some stupid multiplayer God of War game, then loses 400 million dollars on Concord, gets cold feet and cancels the God of War project, and then punishes the entire studio for doing exactly as they were told by just shutting it all down.
Absolutely brilliant.
Herman building himself an EXCELLENT legacy to leave behind
Bluepoint was never given a proper chance to "pick up the slack".Unfortunately that's how business works.
When something tanks, the other brands or studios got to pick up the slack to get sales and margins up.
And if extra sales aren't realistic then it's layoffs to improve financials that way.
It's my assumption based on what transpired. How can you know they were acquired with the goal of becoming a live service studio? And my friend, if Sony bought an 80-person studio that had never made a live service game in its life with the intention of having them develop a live service title, then they're complete idiots. That would be like buying an orange expecting it to taste like a strawberry.
Hermen would sooner burn Sony and the world to the ground before letting anything happen to Aloy.
Guess the dreams of Bluepoint working on a Bloodborne Remaster or hell.. even the new GoW Remakes are dead

True. You know what failed to even come to market?
GoW GasS.
I was taking the piss. Fuck Sony.exactly, but somehow people in the thread believe those decisions are dumb from a business standpoint
But you don't really need a first party to make the remakes, that's what companies like Digital Eclipse do (well, might not be the perfect example but I don't see the point in buying a company to exclusively work on them).A niche Sony is in a unique position to exploit with a huge back catalog.
That's a big part of what Nintendo does, but Sony is noping out I guess to go make Horizon hogs.
