Dualsense is a Scam

I was thinking you have a PS5 and are kinda stuck with Dualsense, but that's not the case. Why do you continue to reward Sony shit products instead of getting one of many Hall sticks controllers that are also less expensive?

I really like the Dualsense as a controller that's why I've been buying new ones, because I feel very comfortable playing with it. But yes, it seems like its time to move on from this controller because it's not worth the headache

If you are going to keep replacing your Dualsense anyway, you might as well get an Edge. As shitty as it is to have to buy a premium controller to get around stick drift, it's a significantly better controller than the standard one and when the sticks eventually drift, which they probably will, you can just swap them out.

Papito, why would you use 1st party controller on a PC? It's long know that they are designed to fail, like you said: a scam. Get something like 8BitDo Ultimate 2. The difference is night and day.

If you are on pc, just buy a gamesir controller with hall effect sticks and triggers, the dual sense has always been trash full of gimmicks.

Xbox official controllers aren't much better, they were good during the x360 era but now they break so easily.

Well like I said to another user I actually enjoy playing with Dualsense, it feels really comfortable so that's the reason I've been using them. That being said I will go and buy today the controller you just mentioned. It costs 60 euros which is even cheaper than Dualsense (75 euros). I just hope that the quality is good and that I feel comfortable playing with it

The quality is great and I'm sure you will appreciate it. Let us know your thoughts once you pick it up.

I think the Dualsense is one of the best controllers I've ever used, but this stick drift shit is embarrassing for a company that specializes in building hardware.

It's planned obsolescence, I have no doubt. Completely shitty move.

This is my fourth controller and now I will have to buy a new one because it's very uncomfortable to play with this issue.
Have you ever heard of a console repair shop. At least where I live, drift fix costs only 20 Euros. You can even buy hall effect sticks for cheap from China and ask the repair shop to install them. Stop wasting money.

I live in Finland man, here the repairs will cost more than the product and frankly I dont have patience to learn how to fix these controllers. I admire people that do but I just can't. If I buy a product I want it to work. And I know its on me that I keep buying Dualsenses but the thing is that I really like how it feels when playing, in that sense Sony nailed it but honestly I had enough of their bad quality which is why I am making this post.

I think its fair to praise how amazing Dualsense feels when playing a game and at the same time complain about how embarrassing the quality of the joysticks is in general.

All controllers that share the same stick tech as these controllers have a chance to develop stick drift, especially with modern games that have very tight deadzones. Only the DS that came with my console got stick drift, but the other one that i bought at launch as well never got drift and has more than 5 years of heavy use on it. Its a lottery. They need to adopt better tech for sticks.

I've been lucky. My joycons all had drift as well. I do play the PS5 a bit less too which could also be a contributing factor.

Another Dualsense with stick drift after a year of use. I have never seen anything like this and I've been playing games for almost 4 decades. This is my fourth controller and now I will have to buy a new one because it's very uncomfortable to play with this issue.

I want to ask you, how is the experience with the Xbox controller? Is it worth it?

I am thinking of getting one for pc and not buying Sony controllers ever again
Dont really have to buy a new one.. i got stick drift for 1st time a few weeks back and fixed it with a contact cleaner spray.. yes, believe it or not, it actually works. But you do you... go for a 4th controller.

Anything to add to that laugh emoji Gonzito Gonzito
I dont see whats so funny.

Papi, if you want, I can send you the the link/contact of the repair guy I used from Ebay - he's very thorough, polite and does a good job - I paid 50 Euros for 2 dualsenses (4 sticks in total).

These are the little things that add up on a console over the years, alongside more expensive games and online paywalls. In the meantime, I'm using a €10 controller with hall effect on my PC.

No need man but thanks. I will get the one that I got recommended by some usera here and see how it goes

Guess I'm lucky I don't use my PS5 that often (mainly exclusives machine) and also don't use the Dual Sense on PC unless a game specifically has heptics/trigger support. I use my 8bitdo pro 2 otherwise (steam controller in the future).

Have had my PS5 for 2 years now, 0 issues with the controller. It's actually a great controller from my experience. Sucks to hear it'll break if I use it too much.

Dualsense are like Logitech mice. Great product with fucking terrible build quality. I got 2 at launch and one has stick drift and both had to have the batteries replaced as they were taking longer to charge than the actual charge lasted.

Nah, i dont think its like that. My Pro sat in storage or in the box with us for the greater part of a year because we travelled up the Australia coast for work. Got it out and it was drifting almost immediately. I had it put away so nothing was leaning against the sticks.. practically a brand new controller with very little use. Definitely not a wear and tear issue.

Been using a Launch XBone controller on PC and it refuses to die in any way. I even had to buy analog sticks caps because the rubber wore away. No stick drift, no button defects. It kinda pisses me off because I'd like a new controller but I'm too cheap to replace a working one.

It's interesting because I think Xbox One controller is a piece of shit - loose analogs, bad triggers, bumpers I had to fix myself and overall terrible construction (it squeaks like motherfucker).

Compared to that even X360 controller was amazing (it only stopped working because something happened to the cable). Xbox Series controllers are the best Xbox controllers ever.

Buy a standard controller and solder in some tmr or hall effect sticks. It's far from ideal of course and should be standard, but if we just keep buying new controllers we're encouraging them to continue the practice.

Been using a ManbaOne Pro controller for PC-TV gaming and I find it right up there with the 8bitdo controller. Joysticks are fantastic. Buttons take a bit getting used to as they feel different, but it's unbelievable for the price.

I don't recommend the Bone controller. I attribute it to my own bad luck. It's a curse, not a value prop.

Still squeaky and has sticky shitty buttons.

I don't like face buttons (they are loud, DS is the best controller for nightime gaming) but build quality of XSS (I use on PC) and XSX (I had 3 years ago) controllers was great.

My first DualSense was squeaky in comparison.

I think my Dualsense is getting a drift after 1 year of use. This is the first time a Playstation controller breaks for me. It sucks.
