Which team is making this? It's odd, I'm a huge RE fan but I have zero hype for this.

They've certainly brought this franchise back to life over the past years but I have found myself very apathetic towards this entry. No idea what the setting even is.

I think its the RE7 team. Just finished listening to kinda funny games video about their review, couldn't be more hyped
 
Torn between getting this on PC or Pro. Leaning towards PC so I can play it on Deck, too. Will probably double-dip eventually since I have almost all REs physical on PS5.

The game has two save options. Will you prefer saving the game using the traditional ribbon to the typer writer or the newer verson of saving RE games?

I always thought the tape deck was cool. A nice change from the typewriter but I'd go back to the typewriter for all the audible sensations of the original.

I guess i'm a Koshi Nakanishi fan since i like Revelations, VII was amazing and Requiem has a great vibe to it. I liked the song and used it in the OT.

Grabbing a post on the first page. If I can pull myself away from Mewgenics, I'll be playing this shortly. Capcom hasn't made a bad RE game in years, so I am looking forward to this!

Classic difficulty with ribbon saves for me.

It adds tension imo and makes the game feel more grounded, oldschool like it did back in the day.

I know I am minority here but I think a lot was lost when the standard became autosaving and checkpoints. It makes sense for some games and genres but for linear survival horror it totally kills the fear and anxiety of combat for me.

Anyway, my usual pick of reviewers whom have opinions I trust have all given the game standing ovations, my hype went through the roof when Jon said it's the best modern Reaident Evil game period.

Completely agree. IMO it's a necessary component of the experience. Awesome it'll be an option though, definitely choosing that one.
