After my Mr. Speaker (now DCA) Ether One's developed a rattle in the left cups and their support, I've been looking for replacement. Those cost me a little under $2000, and the only model DCA has with rounds cups is 2.5x that and I just don't want to invest that much money into cans again. While X1 isn't planar magnetic, they are a fraction of the cost and a boutique brand that are all made and offer replacement parts on their site. These are mostly made for studio mixing, but I like their story and figured I'd give them a whirl. I hope they are as comfortable as they are lovely.

well, i got it at launch through finance. fully paid the loan off today. this was always my plan. just finance it through christmas/new year and pay it off early. it was on a 24 month 0% interest loan so i could've just kept paying it but would rather just pay it off in full now.
and also preordered Marathon on Steam

Last week I was in Bergamo and ate my first proper italian pizza in my life and the thing was literally on fire (the reddish tint you see in the pic are the flames)!
So good but couldn't finish it, it was bigger than the plate

I definitely need a new phone. Mine is really cracked and performance is sluggish. Also, I'd like to get Marathon but want to give it a try first for sure.

i do agree. if i'm buying a physical game i'd like the full game on it. that's not been the case for a long time now. games require patches/DLC for the full experience.
i've had a soft spot for cartridges and bought them for my Switch 1 even though i was fully digital elsewhere. all my games on Switch 2 are now digital.

I love how Etymotic ER4SR I got seems to really bring out the Audiophiles that have zero clue what their talking about. I point out on Head-Fi how the ER4SR shines with a bass boost, To get told how I'm wrong by 2 claiming It hits a wall when I never heard that. I end up blocking them because I do not tolerate because called a liar, I almost reply to them but then gave with how dismissive/rude It sounded.

I got a Sportnset+ subscription. I've been really getting back into baseball, listening to Baseball Today while I dust and swiffer around here and stuff, and I really wanna try to watch every Jays game I can this year, even spring training games like today :]. Watching my Leafs every so often'll be nice, too, of course.

Speaking of baseball though, it was bullshit what happened to your Expos back in the day. I still remember that. It'll probably not happen because of big business, but it'd be cool if you guys got another team, so we could have the classic Toronto - Montreal rivalry again in two sports.

Great memories going to Expos games.
Tickets close to first base were cheap compared to Canadiens outrageous prices.
In a game against the Mets I brought a sign which read "Bobby Bo IS A BITCH!" referring to Bobby Bonilla.
I was asked by security to let go of it or be removed from the game
Pete Rose was also an Expo for a bit and my friend & I had great seats just behind the catcher.
As he was warming up in the circle I just screamed repeatedly "PETE!! PEEEETE!!" until he finally looked in my direction then I yelled "PIZZA!!"
He just lowered his head disgusted & disappointed.

I caved in. I first was looking at the MInisforum version of their gaming tablet, but you warned me not to purchase it. I've been eyeing the Asus Rog Flow z13 32gb for the past couple of months. Just when I was getting ready to purchase it from Best Buy for $2169, the 64gb version went on sale for $2199. I made the order and waited a week due to store pickup. The day it was ready for pickup, I decided to check Best buy again to see if anything has changed for pricing. Low and behold, it went further on sale, cheaper than the 32gb version for $2099. Canceled my original order and picked it up for cheaper. With the release of Marathon, it will be a perfect game to test the z13, can't wait!

I love my Z13. I hope it serves you well. I highy suggest getting rid of the ASUS bloatware and installing G-Helper instead. I doubt it actually makes much of a difference in performance but it's way more efficient to use than ASUS' own software. And for future reference, Best Buy seems to be very good about doing price matches so you probably didn't need to cancel and reorder. I'm actually about to take trip for spring break and it really is so much easier to carry than a gaming laptop. The thing has a very niche use case but what it does, it does well. If a tablet can run MH Wilds, it can probably run most everything. I'm personally hoping Crimson Desert will run decently on it. Most recently, Ive been using it to emulate Xenoblade Chronicles X then using Lossless Scaling for frame generation cause the Switch version is locked to 30 FPS. Technically, there are patches to remove the FPS lock but they're not updated for the newest version of the game.
Also, the 64 GB variant with a 48/16 VRAM/RAM split can probably run QWEN3 30B A3B efficiently if you're into LLMs. Being able run LLMs locally has been one of the things I've really come to appreciate about the Z13. If I ever get tired of games with graphics, I essentially have an endless text adventure generator.
