This is the first time.When was the last time you saw a series changing the protagonist from female to male?
Iirc, after Alan Wake 2 and the failure of Firebreak, they changed management, which decided to change the studio's paradigm and create more commercial projects. In other words, the changes are related to expanding the target audience.I applaud their courage on changing up the protaginist and the entire genre instead of doing a straight, safe sequel.

alan wake 2 also moved me from the 'remedy day 1' column to the 'wait' column...Wasn't a fan of the first, but at least they change the protagonist. IDK tbh, Alan Wake 2 ended up disappointing and I was hyped for that one. I'll wait on reviews.
