Along with Denuvo added too last moment

Hopefully Denuvo won't have any effect on performance, will wait for gameplay videos and DF, still disappointing though to see it being used.

That's why I much prefer playing on a console.

The feeling of knowing that anyone playing the pirated version of Pirates of the Caribbean will get better performance than the customer who legitimately purchased the game must be awful.

If the performance is still good it wont bother me much but if the performance suffers as a result it might be enough reason to not support the pc version at launch

It's a principle thing. I do not care about performance impact, it's negligible

Adding it one week even after pre-orders were open, its fucking scummy move

But it always removes some performance. The lower end, or older, the CPU is, the bigger the hit.
It's like having to spend more money to make up the difference.
And in the end, it only hurts paying consumers. Pirates don't care as they are not affected.

I mean you can buy it and than play the denuvo-less version. ;)

Not really.

First of all you are still supporting devs adding DRM

Second of all the game will not be cracked for a long time

But Im thinking I will not buy the game after all. Fuck these devs

Yeah, but that is should not be a necessity.
Besides, there is always the risk of a virus.

You can use Denuvo offline activation. There is no risk of virus. Let me tell you that much.

But shouldnt have to resort to that BS.

I want to purchase the game, I want to support.

But I dont want to support SHITTY DRM!!!!!!!!

Denuvo, REALLY? That sort of thing shows lacking confidence in your own work. If the game is good you will be rewarded, No need to tank performance for paying customers. Kinda glad my PC is cooked so I'll have to get this on Xbox anyways.

No it doesnt - it just shows lacking confidence it isnt going to be a massively pirated game (which it will be).
Its the real reason Rockstar will publish on console first.

What a dumb console fanboy opinion, spolen like someone who doesnt have a fkn clue how the PC platform operates.

Baldurs Gate 3 - MILLIONS sold, ZERO DRM
Witcher 3 same story
cyberpunk 2077 same story

Fuck outta here with your bs if you dont know what you're talking about

Lots of game mechanics in the launch trailer, yet i still have no clue what this game is about, story wise......are we just gonna run and fly around and get in fights?

There is clearly a story going on. But too much spoilers just sucks as well. Just relax and wait for release impressions if you are skeptical about it.

Devs define the game as an action adventure game rather than an RPG, so I would expect less story and more gameplay than usual (which is good imo).

Think of Zelda BOTW, but with more content adn stuff to do.

Clearly i care otherwise i wouldn't have mentioned it. If youre just flying around getting in meaningless battles with no real purpose to do so, it gets old quick.

There is a story but we dont know a great deal about it.

And yes the game is probably more about exploring the world, fighting, taking over enemy camps etc. Doing puzzels and sidequests.

Its like Far Cry or Zelda. Do you really play those kinda games for the story

Are you new?

Those games' sales numbers barely factor in to thier decision to try and make slightly more money. Publishers dont care that BG3 sold bajillions more than they care some guys are gonna pirate it.

Theyre not using denuvo for shits n giggles. Theyre not laughing about screwing over paying players. Its 100% anti-piracy. Im not saying its the right decision (look at your examples), but it IS their decision.

Ofcourse, and its my decision to not purchase the game instead. I was planning to buy it, but now, I will not.

Just because asian publishers think pc is all pirates which is a big reason no pc ports or shit pc ports for years, doesnt mean shit to me.

Im not going to purchase your product if you treat me like a pirate.

In fact if you treat me that way I'd rather pirate it.
If you treat me like a paying customer I will gladly purchase the game.

Zelda? Maybe....i guess it depends. But i get it now, im gonna wait for reviews, but this does look very good.

I guess I'll double-dip to offset your sale ;)

Should stores remove security cameras? I'm being recorded because they think I might be a thief? How dare they?

Tons of pop-in even on a "curated" trailer. :/

"I prefer playing the worst and more expensive version because pirates will have the best version and those paying customer the second best." - Genius console warrior.

What a dumb conparison.

Its more like leaving the security tag on your purchased product, while someone who steals the product has the ability to remove the security tag of said product.
