KCD2 is a masterpiece and it was rated lower than Spiderman 2 or Horizon, it looks like this game can be more frustrating than Warhorse's one for some people so i wouldn't expect any different.

I'd search for some youtubers who loved KCD2, BG3 and other great games that don't hold your hand while playing and listen to their reviews, that should be the most reliable way to know how good it is, i wouldn't trust most press for games like this sadly

I am watching again the launch trailer and I love the fact that there is a Jetpack and you can fly like in Just Cause

Just Cause franchise is my guilty pleasure, the games are silly but the gameplays are very addictive

I really hope the jetpack gameplay is similar to JC.

Between the destruction system, the jetpack and that special arrow you have that calls for an artillery strike this is pretty much shaping to be medieval Just Cause.

Posting this here because Denuvo HAS an impact:

1) Denuvo is making call and stress the CPU more so IT HAS an impact on performance. You can't add stuff running in background and expect performance to stay the same.
2) "But this cracked version is running the same as the legit one with Denuvo!". Yes, that's because Denuvo is NOT cracked but bypassed. The calls made by the DRM are still present, so performance remains essentially the same.
3) Just by principle, you should be against these DRM.

We knew this for a while. Tracks could be seen from far away. There is also Zeppelins in the game, and those could be seen like a year ago.

What is starting to be a bit concerning for me (not a deal breaker though), is no sight of underwater diving…

I'm getting Dragon's Dogma vibes, and that has gotten me a lot more interested now. That with a mix of Assassin's Creed and Horizon games.





I was in a slump with no desire to play any games, so much so that I have been looking at getting something new on top of my 100s of unplayed games that are not piquing my interest atm. I might dive into this one, break my no full price games rule. I'll probably find a sale on GMG or one of them.

I've been going to GGdeals and havn't had any issues with keys. I know GMG is on their list.

It's like a fever dream where somebody took RDR2, TOTK, WuKong, Just Cause, Black Desert Online, and combined them into one game.

Yeah shit sucks. I hope they are competent enough to properly implement it so performance doesn't suffer a lot because of it.

Personally, I'm not too worried. DD2 had Denuvo and was very poorly optimized yet I was able to play it just fine. I bet it will be the same here or even way better.

I just found this video that talks about the optimization of the game. I found it interesting that it seems they are really nerdy devs that love to put their hands in the code and try to optimize it, when other devs just satsify themselves with "its good enough"

 
I expect GOTY. Gamers hate the idea of innovation and large scope yet when that shit gets given to them they absolutely love it.

Looks good to me. I got the Steam version as that is my platform of choice even though I have a PS5 Pro.
I remember another thread concerning the the lack of console coverage and doubts of its performance and throwing shade at Digital Foundry.
