It's gonna be easier to memorize when you get al the skills gradually...i hope :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Do you want to scare us ?? :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The goddam L3 + / then R3 combos will be a huge hassle but im sure you can make a build less focused on those and still win fights without much trouble.
I mean people always scream for a combat system that isn't soulslike, there you have it:lollipop_squinting:

Finally have my cheap-ass Steam key delivered to me. Can't wait!

This is the only part I don't like about that control scheme:

I hate using those buttons lol. I still haven't used an 8BitDo Ultimate I bought some time ago. Might do so for this game and remap L3 and R3 to the back buttons.

What time is steam preload
I assume it's the same time the game goes live. For me that's 23:00 PM today being in Spain:

So hyped I'm even cleaning up my SSD in preparation.

I've never formated nor anything since I got this computer like 5 or 6 years ago lol, it's full of shit. :lollipop_content:

This is Crimson Desert on a base ps5 apparently.

A lengthy gameplay video shared on PlayStation Japan's YouTube channel has finally given us a glimpse into what playing Crimson Desert will look like for those who own the standard PS5. Admittedly, the encoding of the video leaves a little to be desired, with it being limited to 1080p and 30fps on YouTube, so it's hard to tell just how shiny it all looks from a graphical perspective, but the good news is that it all seems to be running relatively smoothly with no noticeable frame dips or hitches.

You may not hear from me when I get the game. I'll probably just pop to dump some gameplay footage.
Yeah same. I fear too much of spoilers so I'll probably won't hang around that long. Might still drop from time to time to share some impressions and read other's, very carefully.

You got your key already? From where? 😲

My physical copy just shipped a little while ago. It should hopefully arrive by the time I finish work tomorrow. And since I'll be WFH, I can at least start installing the game while I'm working so I can jump in right away once I'm done for the day.

Edit: Looking at that map with the global release times, I guess I'll have to wait until Thursday, since even the physical version is locked behind a day 1 patch. Meh…

Does this go live tomorrow midnight local time?

Edit:

Nope. The 19th.

Oops looks like 4pm my time in mountain time in USA. Weird.

Bugs Bunny Yes GIF by Looney Tunes

I've been coughing all day man, might have to call in sick...
Man… I wish I could take a few days off, but the start of this year has been rough, so that's not happening. I think I've already got around 30 days of accumulated paid leave between what carried over from last year and what I've earned so far. Hopefully I can take 2-3 extra days around Easter on top of the mandatory ones, but who knows.

Damn man sounds like you are going through a lot of work. Hope that gets sorted out soon, or at least that you can enjoy the game during the weekend while having a nice rest. Best wishes!

I am curious about the battle scenes, in BDO those battles are static, so every time you go there the battle is still on-going, and the world state doesn't change. Hopefully in this game there are world states, where once you resolve the plot the battle ends and the world state changes, to give you a sense of progression in the world.

I think i heard about world state changing after big battles but don't quote me on that, i read so much shit about the game that i cant remember what was official and what was wishful thinking.

Was G2A one of the resellers that got/gets their keys revoked from time to time?

I'll probably just stick with GMG, they've been good to me through the years, and they hit the 59.99 pricepoint like the other lowest competitors.

What's wrong with that one? Not sure I've ever used them before. I got mine from Eneba.

G2A uses a marketplace instead of sourcing the codes themselves. And yes, I've been burned twice with revoked keys. G2A eventually did refund me but the seller itself took half a year to respond. It's not worth the 2 dollars to deal with G2A. Eneba is generally okay even though they've started some pretty scummy practices such as tacking on aftermarket fees (eliminating most of what you would have saved, seriously they tried charging me a 1.20 fee on a 2.00 game) and charging sales tax even though they have no actual presence on the country/state where they say they tax for. Eneba used to be my go to but now the only resellers I use are YUPlay and CDKeys.

I've been using pretty much any that use Apple Pay. I've only had 1 key revoked and got it resolved in a day.

Considering that one of the demo previews last year was a big siege battle that concluded with your side winning, the other side dying/retreating and you lighting a beacon to let the rest of the army know it was over etc, I believe it won't be static. When you finish a specific side quest/battle/siege it won't stay that way.

Homes get rebuilt and NPCs move back in to those areas. Now I'm not sure if that stuff can fully conclude without your player input or not though.

Yep, it was also said that Fractions can change on a territory. (and there is 110 fractions in the game :messenger_tears_of_joy:)
