The game's staff includes mechanical supervisor Yutaka Izubuchi, script supervisor Kazunori Itou, and character art supervisor Akemi Takada.

I loved the OVA's and the movies back in the day. But I don't think I have ever really bothered with the anime series, or the Manga it was all derived from. I mean, this does look interesting to me. I'll keep my eye on it.

Patlabor is rad, loved how they did the mech controls with the different modes for standard movement and different controls for fine finger movement to disarm bombs and shit. But this looks low budget low effort. And why couldn't it have manga or anime aesthetics instead of plain 90s cg like
