What have you just bought?

New Golf launch monitor

Just ordered a used Rivian R1T from Carvana to replace my Mazda CX-50 Turbo.

The Mazda was terribly unreliable (8 breakdowns in an about a year) and the motor only lasted 28K miles. First and last new car I think I am ever buying.

A fantastic prestine DSi XL for 100€. DS games look and feel so much better on a DSi XL compared to my N3DSXL, and I'm finally able to get rid of my DS backlog.

Also, back in the days when I owned my first DS lite I used to make fun of all the old folk who needed a DSi XL. Now, 20 years later, I belong to the target audience of the DSi XL.

Guitar Hero 3 and Rockband 2 on PS3.

Never played any of these games and never had a GH/RB guitar. I always wanted to back in the day but never did. Can't wait! Even have a widescreen CRT with a decent sound system. Going to rock.

I'm away for a while from home so I won't get to play them even though they're delivered. Cries.

Did you have pain beforehand?
Lots. Things worked out as best they could.

I was traveling and on my return during a layover in Denver a felt a bit out of sorts. Ate a little, made it worse. Got on my plane and progressively got worse on my flight home and I started feeling lower abdominal pains. Landed, felt even worse, got home and crashed. I woke up Saturday with much more pain, but I had also lifted some items while I was traveling that were way heavier than I should have lifted. I thought I had a hernia and decided to wait for my daughter to return from a weekend trip before going to the hospital. Sunday morning, I got up decided I could no longer wait. I went straight to the emergency room. After surgery I found out it had burst and also abscessed. Lesson learned. Don't sleep on it even if I think it is a self-induced injury.

What makes it more fun, I got sick during recovery, dehydrated and constipated. Just to add a little more pressure to the area and a little more recovery time. I am very very very thankful it did not happen until I got home and no infection.

Also, I got the bill today. 2.7K after insurance. 'Merica.

So I recently bought the Asus Rog Z13 with 64GB RAM and 1TB of storage. I've been using it mainly as a gaming computer It's running out of space because of the size of these game. Also who the hell needs 64 gigs of RAM for gaming on a gimped "laptop". I want more space for my games, and since I have 64GB of ram, I want to dabble in running a local LLM.

I've been eying the 2TB Crucial m.2 2230 from Micro Center. I know all PC components are increasing exponentially, I never seen it happen in real time. Just two days ago, this HDD was $279.99 at Micro Center. Now, this tiny ass chip is $299.99, with tax $327...

Sigh... I guess I snooze, I lose.

Nothing expensive.

Just a manga volume (Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable 3-4)
And a movie on 4k (the first fantastic beasts film, w/ slip cover. It's the only one of the 3 I didn't have. Kinda wish I could find it and 3 in a similar style to the one I have for 2, which I THINK was a target exclusive. It's like a mini art book thing for the case)

I had 4 incisions because it burst. I haven't received the bill yet, but I expect it to be $$$. Would not recommend.
I got a similiar procedure for a hearnia (apparently doing 5k sit-ups in a row isn't good for your guts, who would've thought)

Somehow I ended up with +30 bucks at the end

these two games for PC.

got both for £55 total. quite happy with that. RE was £35 and SH £20. that's the lowest i've seen them yet so jumped on it.

Light blue and gray trousers

Received black and navy blue trousers.

And I'd lost 5 bucks for shipping it back in the process, while it was not my mistake.

And the black & navy blue trousers were cheaper, so I paid more for the same product

Maybe someone here could appreciate this

I bought Mathematics 101 and did the entire course and I'm working my way with workbooks from Algebra 1 to Calculus, I've realized in the past year just how bad I've gotten at math!

Oh and I bought stuff to make gumbo.

signed up to HBO max last night now it's finally out here. watched the Harry Potter behind the scenes thing. the show looks bloody amazing i can't wait :) also started watching The Pitt which i am really enjoying.

also just bought Slay the spire (1) for Switch. Got 2 on PC but it's not on Switch yet so just got the original. it's so much easier than 2. i got to act 3 with ease on my first run. i don't know if that's good or not but i'm lucky to get near the first boss in the sequel lol.

Want to check out The Dark Tower series and read online that I have to read this one first, so I ordered some old ass edition that seems to be one of the best available in spanish. It's The Eyes of the Dragon, hope it's cool.

This reminds me, I need to replace the hose of my Kärscher. I still have the original plastic hose and it absolutely fucking sucks.
Plenty of those on Aliexpress for way cheaper price. Don't expect best quality but then again the legitimate product cost is absolutely a rip off.

drove into Doncaster today for a browse in Dorkness, before heading into Hull for a Dope Burger at Trinity market.

Highly recommend both if you a fat nerd like me.

First legit burger I had in a minute that actually looked like it did on the fuckin menu. Also the bro flipping them bitches was a real nigga. Gave me a free round of fries and a shake for wearing the OG metal gear tee.

Grats on teaching yourself all that Math :] . I did something similar a while ago with Khan Academy so I could understand 3d graphics better. Takes a lot of work and commitment, but so worth it.

I've never been a big fan of his novels, but I really like his book about writing/memoir On Writing. It's really interesting, and I'd say inspirational for anyone doing creative stuff.

Update to the above:
Got to use and play it yesterday. I'm very impressed. Didn't even know it came with some stickers and 2 pins. The bag is pretty well made and the guitar itself is very nice. Connecting it to the phone app to update etc was extremely well done and painless. Was up and playing on the PS3 in seconds after sticking the USB in. Just had to figure out all the controls on the thing, lots of them.

Started with Guitar Hero 3. I'll definitely need practicing! Missing a ton of notes on medium difficultly. I can already tell I'll put a lot of hours into this.

What the fucks the point of paying insurance if your still out 2.7K!!!?? there's a lot about the states that us Euro's cant fucking work out but your healthcare industry is definitely top5.. i got seen by a private hospital to have my gallbladder removed and they even refunded me the parking

Is this Japan-only? Looks like a Ghibli movie almost. Cool :]
It's a bishōjo life simulation game... The gameplay revolves around interacting with the protagonist by asking questions, which gives her a human-like appearance, even though she's a robot.

It's kind of like Pinocchio, but in the style of a 90s anime.

It was only released in Japan, and the ROM is translated into English and several other languages... which, by the way, fans had a hard time porting as Jack Sparrow.

I just ordered a copy of the LIFE magazine from February 21, 1964 with the alleged superimposed picture of Lee Harvey Oswald on the cover holding the carcano rifle that supposedly killed JFK. Also includes large articles on Jack Ruby as well as the US Beatles invasion. Excited!

Three tickets to Cancun for later in the Summer.

Hopefully flights are still working around then :messenger_grinning_sweat:
If the weather's nice... I went last year and stayed for 6 days... I visited Xcaret and Xel-Ha... It's safe... And don't take a taxi... Take a shuttle bus or order an Uber.

I took my vacation at home... because I had too much time.

But I'm planning to go to three places. The Chepe train to Chihuahua... or a cruise in Greece (until things return to normal in Iran) or Japan.

Oh yeah it's an all inclusive, I don't think we're gonna be leaving the resort itself. Private ride to and from the airport. Have been to various resorts in cancun over the years, lovely vacation spot.

Yes, I did the same as you... I included a private transfer and stayed at the Sandos Hotel... which is a resort...

I found it strange that 95% of the people there were foreigners and only a few were from Mexico... And the best thing is not to use taxis... because they want to charge you almost $200 for a 7-minute ride...

And I'm from Mexico! Although my president has already started issuing fines and warnings to them.
