007 First Light - PS5 Pro 60 FPS gameplay

Absolutely ridiculous that they dont have a 30fps mode on PRO with better visuals and enhanced Ray Tracing.

This one mode only 60fps nonsense is WACK.

Looks fun to me.

And people were calling Uncharted 4 overrated in that other thread, lmao

Look at this shit. U4 is 10 years old and it's still the pinnacle of 3rd person action games.

Looks really mediocre. Gameplay looks like a mix of Uncharted and Deus Ex: HR, but worse than both. Gameplay also looks really dated. Graphics look late PS3 or early PS4 tier. Animations would be considered subpar even by PS3/360 standards.

Lots of action, but little or nothing that actually seems fun. It's a uncool Bond game without soul.

Visuals are serviceable. I wonder how open-ended the approach for each mission is going to be. That's what makes or breaks the game for me. A more open-ended/experimental Uncharted doesn't sound terrible.

30 fps for a 3rd person action game? Gonna pass on that chief
I'd even go as far as: 30fps for any game that isn't a fixed camera old school RE-style, and even then? Gonna pass hard on that chief.

I agree, although I still vastly prefer the original three, at least when it comes to pacing. And narrative to a certain extent.

Uncharted 4 feels greater, there's truly exceptional stuff in it, untouched even ten years later, but it's somehow lacking when it comes to that magic, that creative spark that made the OG trilogy so special.

Can't put my finger on it. Would have said tone is off years ago, but I actually love the game tone. It's something else.

Great examples, thanks

1st aged like milk, imo. 2 is still amazing and 3 is also great.

I agree that 4 has many flaws. The pacing is attrocious and it lacked combat scenarios. Gameplay was amazing but they drip feed us during the campaign. Story was meh. But the combat was so, so good. Graphics and animations are amazing to this day. And it feels so good to play.

And Lost Legacy is even better

The game doesn't even look that much better than Uncharted 4. The gameplay looks outdated with very basic stuff with action sequences and shootouts like it's the first time these devs have ever made a 3rd person action adventure game Uncharted style.

Naughty Dog have been making these type of games for a long time and Uncharted 4 was the pinnacle with all they've learned while IO Interactive is starting with just the basics right now.

We need to have larger conversations about how technically stagnant and regressive devs are getting. This looks half a gen behind UC4 from literally a decade ago. Animations and combat look clunky as all shit, and the fact that it looks like poor man's uncharted and not James Bond is just... ugh.

The creatives in this industry are on a different planet right now.

Agree with every single word, minus the entry line.

Drake's Fortune is my favorite Uncharted. The best atmosphere, the best locations, best hitboxes and enemy reactions and AI (downgrades in Uncharted 2 and especially 3 in this regard are astonishing), favorite pacing by far, favorite tone.. oh man, love that game so damn much.
I've said it many times, but if the game, even as it visually was on PS3 (just at 60fps), simply had Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy controls and animations, would be getting some playtime from me every single day till the end of time.

Fingers crossed for a Remake.

P.S. Noticing this my latest playthough put the biggest smile on my face:

Looks kind of boring to be honest.
It looks very streamlined, as if everything - the level design, enemy placement, items, etc. - has been tailored to create "a perfect flow" but in the end it comes across as artificial and staged IMO
I think the same, it might be them attempting to create a trailer that feels like watching an action sequence from a bond movie and that playing it without knowing the level inside out (or even a version of the level adjusted to facilitate it, perhaps) might yield more game-y emergent gameplay.

Of course, they might even have pitched that the game would feel like playing a movie. In which case, this might be it.

Personally, not on my list at the moment.

Damn the enimies has no AI, so we are Fuck&*ëd by RAM, Nand, SSD Crysis for AI , but the AI that we need dont work
I have been wondering about this as well, he's fighting enemies and smashing them into stuff while enemies are standing right next to him, not noticing. The enemies are like placeholders or something, it's weird to watch.

I'm really curious what average person would tell which looks better

Uncharted 4 shits on most of the games released last year. Probably this 007 too, though in this generational drought, I don't mind a by-the-numbers third person romp if it's done well. And it looks like it has been done well enough. I'm in unless we find out it's 3.5 hours long and there's no other content.

A set piece heavy game should have the best graphics possible. Period.

I don't buy a $1000 console to play the game at the same settings as a PS5 at higher frame rate. That sounds meaningless.

I want it to fucking look better.

But same settings 60fps does look better than 30fps..

A whole LOT better.

20 hour main campaign confirmed without including their replayable Tactical Simulator mode

No it doesn't, resolution takes a HUGE hit and its very noticeable. Game objectively looks worse.

Plus, every other graphical feature known to man is either toned down or turned off completely. 30fps has all the graphical bells and whistles

Also, every single PSSR2 game I've played has much better IQ, especially motion resolution, at 60fps than Native 4K modes on base PS5.

The usual bad AI in these games. He knocks someone out and the guy 2 feet away doesn't react because he has his back turned. Jumps over a counter making a bunch of noise and no one in the room hears. A guy looks right at him directly as he moves behind a wall and doesn't even react. The enemies are just punching bags that are standing around.
Its probably set at easy difficulty. In hitman woa, enemies react in those particular situations. Sure there are ways to cheese the AI in it, but if you try to subdue someone close to another npc, they always detect
