Mayhaps Scarecrow makes another appearance.ezekial45 said:Thanks for making the thread.
Like i mentioned in the other thread, it looks like the mask uses gaseous chemicals. So maybe venom is in the form of gas in this movie.

And all movies with Cillian Murphy are made 16.4% better by putting a bag over his head.Scullibundo said:Every movie is made 13% better if it has Cillian Murphy in it.

I don't see how it looks hokey. We knew Bane would have a mask on his face at the very least. They could have included some weird spandex outfit and gloves or something, from what I've seen of the comic. Instead it's just the mask and him. I like it.Solo said:Looks hokey. I'm guessing you're just being a bit snarky... but anyone who believes Hardy (and any other actor who has to bulk up a LOT) isn't doing HGH is insane.CrankyJay said:Back pimples. He's obviously juicing.
Scullibundo said:Let's be honest, Solo. This is probably the best look you're going to get of the character anyway.
yeah, it looks like some cheap shit from the Mortal Kombat Legacy series or something.Tucah said:Uhhh, not what I was expecting.

I only had/have a surface knowledge of the character, but I had always thought he was a guy who had to have some sort of head attachment so he could constantly take in a drug that made him angrier and stronger. So I was looking for something on the back of the head, but a mask on the face doesn't wildly differ from my expectations.Solo said:Did we? I don't know enough about the character to know. Why can't he be mask-les?
PM? Or spoiler tag it?ezekial45 said:Be careful everyone. There's a spoiler going around about Bane's introduction in the movie, and what that green screen in the well was about.
Sounds really awesome though.
Bane was born in the fictional Caribbean Republic of Santa Prisca, in a prison called Peña Dura ("Hard Rock"). His father Edmund Dorrance had been a revolutionary and had escaped Santa Prisca's court system. The corrupt government however decreed that his young son would serve out the man's life sentence, and thus Bane's childhood and early adult life are spent in the amoral penitentiary environment.[3][4] Though imprisoned, his natural abilities allow him to develop extraordinary skills within the prison's walls. He reads as many books as he can get his hands on, builds up his body in the prison's gym, and learns to fight in the merciless school of prison life. Despite his circumstances, he finds teachers of various sorts during his incarceration, ranging from hardened convicts to an elderly Jesuit priest, under whose tutelage he apparently receives a classical education. Bane murders this priest upon his return to Santa Prisca years later. However, he commits his first murder at the age of eight, stabbing a criminal who wanted to use him to gain information about the prison.[4] During his years in prison, Bane carries a teddy bear he calls Osito (Spanish for "little bear"), whom he considers his only friend.[5] It is revealed that Osito has a hole in his back to hold a knife that Bane uses against anyone who bullies him.[3][4]
Bane ultimately establishes himself as the "king" of Peña Dura prison. The prison's controllers take note and eventually force him to become a test subject for a mysterious drug known as Venom,[4] which had killed all other subjects; the drug is administered by a doctor who bears a passing resemblance to another Batman foe, Dr. Hugo Strange. Later, in Vengeance of Bane II the very same doctor encounters Bane again in Gotham and it can be confirmed that it is not Hugo Strange, who at that point in Batman continuity was a crazed psychologist and not a surgeon.[4] The Peña Dura prison Venom experiment nearly kills Bane at first, but he survives and finds the drug vastly increases his physical strength, although he needs to take it every 12 hours (via a system of tubes pumped directly into his brain) or he would suffer debilitating side-effects.[3][4]
Bane will break his back. Batman will be on the ground and remember the words of his dad. ''Why do we fall, Bruce?'' And then he will RISE and fatality Bane with his forearm spikes.ultron87 said:Oh no, how will Batman beat Bane if there aren't big chemical tubes to disconnect when he jumps on his back?

From what I read rumor is from IMDB so take them with a grain of salt.
I spoke briefly to a few P.A.'s as the set was being "locked down." This was the rumor: take it with a grain of salt. Bane is discovered after Ra's burns down a village with the league of shadows --- every citizen completely wiped out -- they watch as the mayhem ensues. However, before leaving, a young boy rises from a BURING PIT, the boy (young bane) is covered in flames. Apparently, he doesn't even flinch which makes Ra's intrigued. They take him in and teach him everything he knows So basically, Bane's only real advantage is that he has a genetic mutation that makes him impervious to pain. No super strength or chemical enhancers (tht i was made aware of)

I'm not believing this. No wayezekial45 said:Here it is.....
AVOID THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE OPENING OF THE MOVIE AND WHAT THAT GREEN SCREEN AND WELL WAS ABOUT.
A young Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Shadows massacre an entire village in the opening of the movie. They place the bodies into a well or ring (seen from those production pics a few weeks ago) and set it on fire. A child crawls out for the well, covered in flames. This is Bane. It seems he's impervious to pain. Ra's Al Ghul takes him under his wing after that.
So that pretty much explains the The Fire Rises message.
That's it.

Venom is far too deeply a part of the character.
