The Formula 1 2011 Season of Vettel Fingering the Competition |OT|

Happy to see Alonso finally get a win this year and in quite some style. Hopefully more to come, but I honestly don't have a fucking clue what is going on with the rules at the minute so I don't know if Ferrari will fall back again at the next race.

Shame Webber couldn't get past Vettel to make the championship more interesting, but I can understand the team orders with 2 laps to go, even if I don't particularly agree with it.

Got no problems with the Massa/Hamilton incident at the end, it was two drivers desperate for a few more points and giving their all. If one had to retire due to the clash, I might feel different but it was good stuff really.

Eddie Jordan really annoys me sometimes

Agreed, but at the same time he calls things as he sees it and even though that can result in him looking at like a tit at times, I respect him for it.

Expecting Ferrari's to be fastest at Hockenheim. Now the Red Bulls have a more normal rear end and no MEGA GRIP that you'd see from a videogame, they'll be vulnerable. McLaren are just fucked.

ehm they are going back to valancia setup's

Fair play to Ferrari head, saying Massa v Hamilton was just a fight for position and there was nothing wrong with it.

Good man, very sporting.

They will argue about this, but all teams minus one agreed on this. Bernie will go into action.

Probably my favourite team principle, him & Whitmarsh are generally down-to-earth guys.
Whitmarsh will probably go, if their results continue to drop. SD saved his butt with this win.

I have no problem with what Lewis did. Going by some people's attitudes Villeneuve vs Arnoux at Dijon back in the day would have resulted in both of them being banned for years. Same for Massa Kubica from Fuji 2007.

Massa is clearly not the same driver post Hungary 2009. Certainly lost something, he was lightning and consistent prior to it.

No way Ferrari will make things interesting if they go back to valencia setup's

Why did they wait for that message until Webber was practically next to Vettel?

i bet no one actually wanted to deliver the message, so horner had to do it.
but it was 100% the right descision to make.

What channel is bbc forum going to be on?

As long as they don't talk bullcrap in the press about giving their drivers the ability to race, it's fine by me.

Maybe they thought Webber himself would have a little more common sense.

A racedriver fighting for position, the idiocy.

I agree that it was the right decision to make, but their previous statements about team orders make them blatant hypocrites. I think that's what's bothering people the most.

I'm usually very critical of Hamilton's agressive driving (Monaco was deserving of a black flag) but today he didn't do anything wrong. He didn't waved 5 times in a straight when defending Vettel and in the Massa incident it was just racing: It happens! Massa brakes late and Hamilton was inside. Like Montoya said "Shit Happens"

And Schummy penalty was also undeserving. He lost control in a wet track, for god sake.

Hockenheim last year didn't help either.

Especially after Hockenheim last year. At least Alonso there was the only one with a chance for the WC.

ah fuck, im using that bbc app.
also red bull let their drivers race last year because it was close, vettel is clearly first in the team now, so its only normal to have team orders.

That's the issue I have. Don't say there are no team orders in your team when there clearly are.

He was still pushing hard when they aired that message, though.

I bet Webber was in two minds about it. I would be.
Yep, I don't blame him really. I'd have done the same.

Horner didn't look too happy when Ted was interviewing him though. I'm guessing Horner and Webber will be having some words.

Lollipop made quite the mistake there. Guy on the right side didn't raise his hand.
Lots and lots of mistakes in Mclaren pit crew this year.

Also, first pit mistake from RBR this season.

Meanwhile, Red Bull team boss Chris Horner was less politic on the subject. “It’s a great shame for Formula 1 that the race was manipulated to give one driver a victory over the other,” Horner said. “We came in for a lot of criticism in Istanbul for allowing our drivers to race but I think that it’s the fair and sporting thing to do. The only losers today are Formula 1. Ferrari are a big enough team that they shouldn’t need to do that and Fernando is a good enough driver not to particularly at this point in the season when there are still hundreds of points available.”

Oh the irony! Apparently not allowing one driver to fight for #2 is not a shame but #1 is!

Finally it happens, too late in the season to fight for the championship but a step forward for Ferrari(or a few steps backwards for Red Bull).

Just need LDM and Stefano to lobby the FIA to keep these regs.
