Great win by Alonso. He is brilliant when he has the proper material to work with.

Nice to have Hamilton back. He was no were to be seen at the European Grand Prix, allegedly kidnapped by his cunt critics. He was charging through the field when the track was moist. Pulled out some of the best defensive driving seen in quite a while.

Shumi made some mistakes, he could have been top 5 with his pace.
Di resta was fucked by his team, he could have had an amazing points finish.
And button was such a shame, but what an amazing race this was.

Oh the irony! Apparently not allowing one driver to fight for #2 is not a shame but #1 is!
How is telling your drivers to hold position with just 2 laps to go in any way comparable to Ferrari moving their cars around mid race?

When teams say their drivers can fight they don't mean to the very last lap, it's almost always till the last put stop or up to the last couple of laps.

Two things. Firstly, RBR have said openly they allow their drivers to race. Clearly that has changed.

Second, is that the principal of it robs the spectators of potential exciting racing.

I don't have a problem with team orders. I believe a team should be allowed to do what they please inside their team.

However I have a problem with people that complain about team orders when other teams do it, but then do the exact same thing.

The hypocrisy.

There's no difference. You could even argue that Vettel has such a massive points lead that 2 or three points less don't matter.

Read the post above you, there is a difference.

Nah that's bullshit. Whether it's the halfway point or the last two corners, Red Bull have said they let their drivers race and I bet now if Ferarri or someone else did that Horner would be saying the same thing yet again.

I read it, and I disagree with it. There is a difference between what Ferrari and RBR did, but that doesn't mean I agree with either situation. Hence my post.

I'm not seeing anything on twitter, etc to say that the Valencia rules are back in play.
The latest is that Ferrari & Sauber want them to stay as they are.

Anyway, 4 week break coming up. What the hell to do now with no F1!!

The situation is different but the principle is the same.

You are manipulating the results by sending orders to the drivers. It's very possible that without team orders Webber wouldn't be able to overtake Vettel or Alonso would overtake Massa in Hockenheim and the end result would be the same, but the problem is that they managed to do so with orders from the guys on the pit wall.

Oh what happened to the Renault engines? I thought they were going to grenade themselves if they couldn't get their dispensation? Oh they didn't....

Edit

The principle being the same is BS. It's all about context. No team will be complaining about what Red Bull did not even Patrick Head from Williams, the only team who have an honest racing philosophy. The situations are not comparable it is ludicrous to argue the point. Secondly it is a team sport and with the rules again reflecting that reality the teams can do whatever they want. They get money for the WCC not the WDC.

We all knew they were never going to blow. Just politics.

Wait until later this day or several days. They will do something about this, majority of teams is for the change, so it is now on Bernie and FIA to reach the agreement or some shit will hit the fan.

We still have Nürburgring and Hungaroring left before the break.

Goddamit, we need more Hamilton-like drivers. F1 is so pussyfied nowadays, constantly with stewards this stewards that.

More aggresiveness please. Hamilton showed how do you defend your position until the last milisecond.

And wow at RB. What a disaster today for the team (well, not really a disaster per se :D ) 2 fucked up pit stops, cannot overtake, Ferrari reaching to their level, team orders.

Poor Button and Koba :(

Congrats to Alonso. Perfect race. Shame that it will involve a week of listening to idiots claiming that "Magic" is back, Vettel is shit, Ferrari is gonna win the world and such. Ugh.

Webber laying it down in the conference. Finally a driver that will say no to the team live in public.

Horner sounded PISSED when he said he was going to the forum.

red bull's new golden boy got trashed by liuzzi, if he doesn't get the better of him in the next three or four races he's done.

hopefully vergne gets to test the toro rosso on friday practice, he's better than ricciardo.

I'm not sure if I agree with Horner. I mean the fact that Mark has had the fastest time in the closing sections of quite a few GP this season it must be crushing for him to not be able to capitalize on being consistently better than Vettel in that regard. Even Ignoring how far ahead Vettel is anyway I don't quite understand how he can be expected to carry out his job and not be disappointed when even the orders disadvantage him.

Bit harsh for the guys first proper race.

I really enjoyed this race and I hope I'll watch it again this or next week with a friend. He didn't like the Monaco GP that much, but he became a fan of Hamilton. I really have to get him into F1. :lol
