Hillis
Woodhead
Welker
Collie (if healthy)
Witten
any white kicker
any D

I think Roethlisberger is a safer start this week (see: Cardinals secondary, throwing long bombs to Wallace should be easy) but Tebow has basically the best intro game he could possibly get.
I'm leaning towards starting Tebow over Big Ben this week in the zany cat.gif league... if only due to the fact that 'Zona's D has been known to play well at home when desperate (I think they're desperate this week - plus they've had two weeks to prepare) and Wallace has hamstring concerns.

Also I think next year I join multiple leagues for the 1st time..
The nice thing about playing in multiple leagues is that you don't get discouraged from fantasy due to one bad luck lineup. If my injury-riddled 1-5 team was my only team, I'd be pretty dismayed right now.

Not to mention that I find that I "over-manage" a team when only invested in a single league. Essentially trying to do too many cute moves to make them great due to not having other teams to focus on.

Lastly, being in multiple leagues means that you may get clued in on hot free agent acquisitions. Anyone that gets scooped up quickly by a top-scoring franchise in one league is probably someone you want to strongly consider if they're sitting on the wire in one of your other leagues.

The one hiccup to multiple leagues is that you have to be especially mindful of the different rulesets for scoring, waivers and playoffs and not get confused between them. Between my 5 leagues, I have 4 different waiver rulesets in place. One goes by reverse order of standings, another uses FAAB, another has IR slots and limited drops which means I can't make more than 25 moves for the entire season, etc.

I hope Puddles is ready for Tebow time this week! I think I win this matchup. Really hope I get AJ back as well to help out. When Blount gets back my team looks pretty solid actually. If Torain produces the rest of the year I actually have a good shot at the playoffs. Oh and if McFadden gets hurt.... I think I win the league. You are due for a season ending injury McFadden and you know it.

Are you going to fill in your starters, Frankman? Was tempted to figure out some sort of Murray deal but I just see a ton of bench slots
Not until I get replies on some moves/negotiations I'm conducting. Seriously, it takes 5 days to get a reply from some of you guys.

Two of my top 3 players are on bye this week. I am definitely losing to TDs and Beer.
Hey but two of my top 3 are injured. And it seems that no matter what I offer in trades no one will ever accept. Even if the "evaluate trade" thing says it is better for them by 40 points.... Nope trade isn't good enough.

If you go by Evaluate Trade, you're doing it wrong. That's the last thing I look at.

Crazymoogle said:
Evaluate Trade is pretty useless. It's not taking injuries into the equation, at least not many of them.
Typically it does factor injuries in but Yahoo! takes forever to adjust their projections to factor them in.
Hence certain players are perpetually over/undervalued.

My team is fucked this week. Best injured, and McCoy on a bye means I am probably going to be starting Morris, and Mendenhall.

Also starting Greg Little against the Seahawks. I think he will be a big pickup later this season.

Who has Ronnie Brown? Dude will gets nice stats with Best out

It depends on how long Best is out. If he is out for a week, I see Morris getting a majority of the carries. After that and Ronnie starts to be a main ball carrier.

Who should I drop? Titus Young, Ridley, or Denarious Moore? All 3?

Thinking of picking up Murray as well as a kicker for the bye week.

So i'm in a bit of a dilemma in one of my leagues. I've got 4 guys on byes and 3 guys who are also injured, and I need to fill in 3 roster spots. So I need to drop some people, but I don't know who.

Starting this week:
Stafford QB
Megatron WR
-empty- WR
Ray Rice RB
Ingram RB
-empty- TE
-empty- Flex(wr/rb/te)
Hanson K
Oakland DEF

Bench:
Nicks - Bye
Gronkowski - Bye
Aaron Hernandez - Bye
AJ Green - Bye
Felix Jones - hurt
Blount - hurt
Julio Jones - hurt
Tebow

I was thinking of just dropping Felix, Gronkowski and Hansen and going kicker-less for the week to fill out the empty slots. I'm REALLLLY hoping that Julio is able to go this week and it would save me a lot of trouble.

Does your league have a rule about starting someone in every slot?

Anyway when you have these problems, figure out your ideal lineup for a regular week - those guys can be considered uncuttable.

Also, don't sweat dropping K or DEF

No, there's no rule about having to start someone at every spot.
I've been trying to make trades to compensate for this, but half my league kinda half asses it and takes forever to get answer trades.

Every week I seem to barely get my waiver picks in under the wire before 3:00am.
There's a very good chance the last of my Economy League FAAB dollars get spent tonight.

Well, is it a really small league? Like 8 team or something?

Stafford/Mega/Nicks/Rice/Blount/AJ/Hernandez is your core, I think. (Hanson is fine, but you should always dump your K on bye and then dump your DEF whenever there is something better.)

-Felix is easily droppable. He's out 2-4 and hasn't done much this year anyway.
-Unless you can find a good defense I would good DEF-less this week. Kickers are a crapshoot but you stand a better chance at getting 10 points with a mediocre K performance than a mediocre D performance.
-You could drop Gronkowski...but I really wouldn't unless there was something great in the FA pool. Just too much value plus you already rode past one Hernandez injury...
-This should go without saying but do not drop Tebow.

If the only waiver options were guys like Damien Williams or something I have no qualms about starting an injured WR in that slot. Hurts you this week but that bench value is tough to replace in standard leagues. (If you're 2-4 or 3-3, however, then yeah, you gotta go for the win. But 4-2/5-1/6-0 can afford to hang tight.)

A good trade idea for trade-resistant leagues is to throw out 4-5 offers (1 per team) with the same guys on your side involvefd. You'll like some deals better than others but with maybe a 10% chance of any deal happening, a wide net now will improve your odds.

I have Welker on a bye this week and all my wideouts are pretty crappy. We have to start two WRs I have one covered by Anquan Boldin, my other spot I'm unsure of right now.

I have right now Denarius Moore and Austin Collie on my bench.

I know I need to pick up a wideout on waivers. All the research I've seen seems to suggest I should go with Preston Parker or Doug Baldwin. Which of the two should I go with?

Oh yeah PPR league.

Really counting on that 2nd string Cowboys rushing attack?

I guess I shouldn't talk since I blew $31 on Waiver Wire Pickup of the Year ™ Stevan Ridley a few weeks ago.

Denarius Moore going for $26 was what started the insane bidding, I think.

Not so much that I'm counting on the Cowboys rushing attack so much as I'm not exactly saving my dollars for anything in particular now that the trade deadline has lapsed and wanted insurance for Felix Jones while he's on the shelf. Watch Choice go nuts now to spite me.

Funny story. I only took Brown late in the draft because I wanted an Eagle on my team.
Better dump someone to get a new lucky Eagles mascot then.

Between those two guys, you'll want to roll with Baldwin.
He's a WR2 on a team with no Tight End receiving regular targets versus Parker who's a WR3 on a team that is sending a lot of air traffic Winslow's way.

SURPRISING FANTASY STAT OF THE DAY: The 12th ranked quarterback in fantasy points per game right now in the No Quitters 3 league is none other than... Colt McCoy. He's been quietly putting up consistent numbers ala David Garrard in his heyday and could make a run for the Top 10 shortly.

I told you guys about that one team in a 16 man league that's 4th in scoring, but 1-5? Well as it happens, I've been getting good waiver priority all year, and if I can get a good winning streak going against the bottom feeders in that league, I could be the team that no one wants to face come playoff time.

This is the team I have:

QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Frank Gore
RB Jahvid Best
RB Willis McGahee
RB Ryan Torain
RB Jackie Battle
WR Brandon Lloyd
WR David Nelson
WR Sidney Rice
WR DHB
WR Greg Little
TE Owen Daniels
K Nick Novak

If I can package two of my lesser RBs for a WR1, I might have something dangerous. Eight teams make the playoffs in this league.

So I just want to declare that it's looking like i'll have at least 1 empty spot on my roster this week - I don't want anyone complaining that I'm giving up or whatever, I just don't want to make roster room for a shitty temporary replacement knowing that will likely not affect my matchups outcome.

... I would've given it to you, rinker. All you needed to do was counter the offer I made with one included.

Fricking cockblocked this whole week... ridiculous. And now any 3-teamer I could've made is dead.

I have five starters on bye in the economy league. I'm not sure I have a chance at being competitive with the scrubs I scraped up.

Edit: I just noticed Rinker's post on the previous page. Good stuff.

Puddles said:
Is it the trade deadline already or something?

No. But some teams have serious bye week issues and I just received the first trade offer in awhile that actually would improve my team without also hurting it.

I sent Good as Gould quite a few offers that would help both of us (yahoo evaluate even agreed!) but yeah he decided it was a no go after a few counter offers that mostly only benefitted him. If anyone needs a QB Freeman is up for trade for a RB/WR. I'm all in on Tebow!

I like the deal for Rinker given the question marks surrounding Best. The Lions are stockpiling an arsenal of running backs right now after acquiring James Davis earlier today and trading a draft pick to Philly for Ronnie Brown yesterday. Doesn't bode well.

I'm not quite as doubtful, but hey, I have the luxury of waiting a few weeks on the guy (see: when Benson can play next) so it was worth a shot. Can't do much else at 2-4.

Looks like I spoke too soon... Ronnie Brown's an Eagle again.
Harrison's health was misrepresented in the deal. Funny stuff.

I was offered Best in a deal as well. I didn't take it as I don't see any way he doesn't miss more time to another injury/concussion. Guy just can't stay healthy. If it was someone who wasn't as injury prone things would be different.

I might be interested in Julio depending on what you are asking. I don't see him coming back till after the bye though.

You already got your long-term RB stud, Frankman.
Jackie Battle will run amok starting this weekend!

I don't see a working 1-for-1 package right now. It'd have to involve 2 or more players. I'll always listen to offers though.

Well yeah I was thinking 2 for 1. I want you to make the first offer if you are up for it though.
