By that standard you really aren't watching any wrestling company, are you?
Let's be honest, people use this reasoning for not really following ROH all the time, but how many wrestlers in the WWE really have natural charisma? 2? 3? And we're lucky to get 1 "compelling feud" a year. I'd much rather follow ROH which is 1 hour per week of a company with an overall focus on what they want to get across to the viewer without pandering to children, using nostalgia, abandoning all logic, and having no skill in building to ANYTHING. At this point, the absolute only things the WWE has going for them as a wrestling company are exposure, and production values.
Again, I appreciate what ROH is trying to do, but there's just something missing to me. PWG and CHIKARA have that element of fun interspersed with good wrestling so that there's a balance. To me, ROH leans heavily to one side of the balance in terms of in-ring competition, but is lacking when it comes to presenting guys who can do more than just wrestle. WGTT, Eddie Edwards, Roderick Strong, and Davey Richards are all terrific wrestlers, but seeing them try to cut promos on the TV show makes me cringe a bit. But at the same time, the TV show is just starting, so there's certainly plenty of time for them to fix some things here and there over the next few months.
