Yeah the Cards schedule leaked out a month or so ago. Initially playing the Packers, Patriots, and Jets on the road would be a FML scenario but I'm looking at it a different way. I have complete faith that we'll be a top defense next season and I couldn't ask for a better test for them than going against GB and NE. I just hope these two games are at least mid season so the guys can get it going prior. Especially since the players coming back from injury will need time to get acclimated since it's a new system they haven't played in yet. At least they'll have the playbook down :)

Ndamukong Suh named most charitable athlete in all of sports.

Detroit Lions defender Ndamukong Suh comes in at No. 6 with $2,600,000 donated to his former University of Nebraska for both the athletic department and to start a scholarship.

Many people think that shouldn't count as charity because it’s giving more money to a major institution, but he is helping his alumni like no other college football player turned pro ever has.

That’s what you want from a leader, though. The Detroit Lions have been a welcome mat for the NFL over the last few years, but Suh isn’t allowing that anymore. If he gets in trouble for playing too hard, as a coach I would rather defend that than defend a player who isn’t working hard enough.

But that’s on the field. Suh may be a madman between the lines, but he is more than a gentleman off the field. Suh has been a huge part of many of the charitable events the Lions organize, but he also does much charity on his own.

Suh is a gentleman, diplomat, scholar AND philanthropist.

it leaked out? lulz. everyone knows everyones schedule once you are sure where teams will finish in their division. nothing "leaked", i could tell you the entire cards schedule for 2013 already (minus 3 games)

I just said leaked because I found it before some of the beat writers released articles on it. It seems that last year was our 2007 schedule, this year our SB year, next year will emulate 2009, etc. Seem to be going forwards than backwards in a repeated cycle. Besides ranked match ups, of course. Funny that we can play any of 3 teams in the NFC East division right now. Hopefully it's the cowgirls, we have their number.

suh is a dirtbag and his coach is a pussy wannabe tough guy

Your career backup QB, scrub of a coach wanted no part of Schwartz.

Harbaugh's lucky Vernon Davis was there to stop Schwartz and his fistpump fury punch.

lol, that's the guy you want to say is exhibit A on being a fat coach? I could think of many more that deserve that honor. Just admit it, your coach acts tough, but totally bitched out over nothing.

I love Belichick's interviews.

When asked about Tom Brady and his injury,

Question: What was able to do yesterday?
Belichick: Play quarterback.

The funny thing is Belicheat is supposed to be very charismatic around the team behind closed doors, but never shows this aspect to the public.

Avatar bet?

Hell naw.

You Texans fans have some weird juju where you have an avatar of another team and your team wins. If you had a Packer avatar, the Texans would have a dynasty.

Also, after reviewing this page, I want to see a Niners-Lions playoff rematch. Need the Rams to lose and the Packers to win!

The Orton talk should be preemptively tapped down with the fact he also had a shot and nearly did help KC beat OAK which would of sealed the playoffs for DEN.

He is normally. When he is in coach mode its like a performance. On the radio or offseason interviews he is nice.

look at that fat body. and he's under 6 feet tall. i'd kill myself if i was a man under 6 feet!

:jnc!

Sporting News or SI ran a story about him two or three years ago that pretty much says the exact opposite. Of course, as "journalists" are wont to do in this day and age, it relied mostly on unnamed sources. Painted him as a Jobsian employer.

It's just too bad you got stuck with the tiny hands. Harbaugh will be like a mini-Rex in a couple years.

You're comparing Schwartz's physical shape to this? Nice fucking pleats.

you and the girls can jibber jabber about which coach is hotter. here is my measure of a coach:

Jim Harbaugh: 12-3, won his division once, defeated the detroit lions, firm hand shake
Jim Schwartz: 18-29, never won a division title, never defeated the 49ers, a womans hand shake

That's actually considered a division the 49ers are in?

u still mad about alex's come from behind beating of the sorry ass lions? don't be ashamed, he has 5 of them this year!

Know when to stop. Your boy is a poor man's Trent Dilfer.

lions record vs. the NFC west in the past 4 years: 1-6

lulz, the lions are actually considered a professional football franchise?

i don't even think alex smith's great. which says something about how shitty the lions are when he can feast on them as if he were one tom brady. but don't worry! you guys will be participating in a playoff game for the first time this century and even when you lose can't NOBODY take that away from you!
