Holy crap, Packers 2012 schedule is cake.
Giants schedule is fucking brutal again.

I don't have it handy but I remember seeing the schedule of the East winner earlier and it's another gauntlet.

EDIT: Home:

NFC East Opponents
New Orleans Saints
Tampa Bay Bucs
Green Bay Packers
Pittsburgh Steelers

Away:

NFC East Opponents
Atlanta Falcons
Carolina Panthers
San Francisco 49ers
Baltimore Ravens

I think that's how it breaks down.

You would think the Benevolent Brothers of Alex Smith Knob Slobbering would appreciate patience and the value of coaching

100% agree. I hope the Rams exercise extreme patience with Bradford. The Niners proved that even players labeled as a bust can make it to the playoffs if you give them enough time. They should keep shuffling GMs and coaches until Bradford reaches the promised land.

I look forward to the Steelers at home. The last time the two teams played was one of the most physical, nasty games I've watched in a long time. It was good shit.

i talked shit about him all of last year while everyone was sucking his dick and sure enough i was right.

i'll pose to you the samething i did to one dmczaf regarding raheem morris: if the rams ever make the playoffs with bradford at qb i will eat crow and admit i know nothing about football.

but, much like with my guarantee to dm, i doubt i'll ever have to be saying those things :D

Take that back! He's not the Raheem of QBs

Never underestimate the Saints' ability to lose to anyone, anywhere. We've seen it all too often, and - to use an old cliche - it's a brand new season at this point.

The pessimist in me thinks that this game is going to come down to the last few minutes, maybe even the last possession.

i would say that is a very high possibility.

The fucking apathy from my fellow Lions "fans" is disgusting

Seriously its a joke. I can understand the trauma we all suffered through the Millen years but this whole "woe is me" mentality needs to stop.

We can beat any team in the NFL.

When was the last time NO lost at home?

When was the last time NO played a team as talented as Detroit? Week 13, the last time they played the Lions, when we had four of our defensive starters out due to injuries and bullshit suspensions.

The Aints and there midget QB are about to get fucked up. Lions 41 Aints 27.

ATL @ NYG - Giants are the only NFC team I honestly worry about facing this postseason. Everything seems to be coming up Milhouse for them right now.
PIT @ DEN - This will be this season's NO @ SEA matchup. Tebow will discover his flow within the next week and style all over the godless Steeler heathens.
CIN @ HOU - Ha. HA. HAHA. HAHAHA. LOLOLOLOLOL.
DET @ NO - A double-win for me if it goes down as so; the stat whores down south get knocked off, and we'll get the chance to knock off Detroit once and for all this season.

You know what? Fuck the Jets, fuck Rex Ryan. Fucking keep your big mouth shut about the SB next year, feet fucker.

Also, :jnc at Mark Sanchez. Please let him be the starter forever.

Fuck all you haters picking against us! Delhome gonna lead us to the promised land!

You don't get any of your other guys back? Damn.

I don't know who to root for for the CIN-HOU game. I like both of them better than the Ravens, Steelers and Broncos.

hot damn. Sanchez' career passer rating is roughly equivalent to Tebow's this year.

Sanchez has always been a scrub. When ESPN was saying Freeman and Sanchez > Stafford I couldn't help but laugh. The NFL was lucky Staff was hurt the first two years. Sanchez will be a career backup like Harbaugh.

You can tell when a QB has pocket presense, arm strength, accuracy etc. Staff had that when he played his first NFL game at the Superdome in NO. He's about to get his first playoff win in the Superdome.

Great win last night! Am surprised the defense has gotten better. Fewell talked of "going back to basics", so why the fuck did it take so long? I think getting Tuck and Boley healthy has been the biggest boost. Canty has been really solid this season, also. People bitch about his contract, deservedly so since he is getting big money, but he's been big this year.

Also hope Victor Cruz can get on the All Pro team. Don't give a shit about him getting snubbed for the Pro Bowl, whatever. I don't buy the "he's not known yet!", because TE Jimmy Graham got on this year and it's not like he and the Saints were on TV all season. Cruz and Calvin I imagine would be the two choices.

A bit of trivia:

Falcons coach Mike Smith's four-year record of 43-21 is the best four-year mark in team history and ranks among the best records in NFL history for first-time head coaches. Smith is tied with Bill Cowher (Pittsburgh, 1992-95), Mike Martz (St. Louis, 2000-03), Mike Sherman (Green Bay, 2000-03), and Mike Tomlin (Pittsburgh, 2007-10) for the fourth-best four-year record among first-time head coaches. Only George Seifert (San Francisco, 1989-92), Chuck Knox (Los Angeles LA Rams, 193-76) and John Harbaugh (Baltimore, 2008-11) recorded better records in their first four seasons.

The Falcons-Giants game should have good weather, 49 degrees and partly cloudy.

If the Falcons can keep Eli from rolling out so much and apply some pressure to make him hurry up, we have a good chance. The line is +3 for the Falcons right now. So basically the difference is home field.
It would be nice to have Stephen Nicholas back at LB by Saturday.

And:
@JeffSchultzAJC
Jeff Schultz
Jerry Jones on TV. He puts no blame on Jerry Jones for missing playoffs 3 of last 4 years, but vouches for $17 martinis at his stadium.

$17 for a damn martini?

Are you thinking Rg3, Flynn or someone else?

The annoying thing is that we would have to get Flynn before the draft probably as there'll be a big market for him. Then when the draft swings round RG3 will probably fall to #4.

However if we wait for RG3 in the draft I just know the Rams or Vikings will trade down with Washington/Dolphins/Seahawks and we'll get screwed.

Worst case scenario is we have to trade up to guarantee we get RG3.

LET'S GET IT ON!

Lions are going to roll the Saints. Then we will fuck up the Pack in Lambeau and sit back and tune into Green Bay radio as listen to their fans make a serious case that Flynn is the better QB (and really, who can argue with them, he holds the single game TD and yardage mark).

It will then all come down to the 49ers and pleated-pants Harbaugh as they avenge their earlier loss. Considering Akers proved in week 17 he is also the team's best passer, this is not a concern.

Lions 38 Saints 31
Lions 35 Packers 24
Lions 24 49ers 15

Factually Challenged

Fantasy Challenged as well.

CIN @ HOU - Yates goes down on the first drive, enter Delhomme. 5 interceptions as the Bengals win in a romp.
DET @ NO - Lions win a 48 - 45 shootout with 50 year old Jason Hanson hitting the game winner as time expires.
ATL @ NYG - Yeah I just don't like the Giants. Fuck Eli.
PIT @ DEN - Yes the only ones who will protect their house will be the Tebows.

Tebow lifts me up. I still have faith.

Or Big Ben will rape again.

Sorry little brother. :(

ATL @ NYG - Browns need best draft pick possible from the Falcons.
PIT @ DEN - Tebow has been storing up his miracle juice for the past few weeks in anticipation of the postseason.
CIN @ HOU - Next year will be the Bengals' year.
DET @ NO - The Lions secondary is not prepared.

Picks
ATL @ NYG - Giants are riding high off some great momentum at just the right time with that Eli-te-Cruz connection looking strong as ever. That Metlife crowd will be hyped and that D-Line will be attacking Cowardly all game.
PIT @ DEN - TebowTebowTebowTebowTebowTebow
CIN @ HOU - Two similarly matched teams, but I'll take Dalton over the Yates/Delolhomme combo.
DET @ NO - Think this gon be ugly. Lions won't be able to consistently keep-up with that Saints O.

Anyway, that ATL-NYG game looks like the best of a so-so lot and I think divisional weekend will be more interesting.

ATL @ NYG - Matty Ice finds out what it's like to play in the Meadowlands in January and freezes up in a big spot.
PIT @ DEN - The team that uses a quarterback wins.
CIN @ HOU - Nothing like riding the momentum of a 3-game losing streak (including one to the 2-14 Colts) into the playoffs, right Houston?
DET @ NO - Matt Flynn dropped 480 yards on Detroit's secondary in an outdoor game they needed to win. Brees throws for 650 in the comfort of the dome.

My predictions before last nights game.

NYG over Atl
Pit over Den
Cin over Hou
NO over Det

further

NYG over GB
NO over SF
NE over Cin
Bal over Pit

further

NYG over NO
NE over Bal

SB Champs
NYG

Much like the actual team, I've taken the past 3 weeks off since we've had the playoffs locked up. It's go time now, though.

Bring it Bungles!

Also... #37? Really Buckethead? That pic is from 2009.

That's some espn shit posting that old pic lol Almost everyone is predicting that the Bungles will beat us, heck Fmt thinks so little of us he mistakenly typed Tenn being beat by Cin.

No one has really noticed how shitty the Bengals have played and they have had all their players.

I can't wait to hear and see how loud Reliant is next Saturday. Andy is gonna have fun with that.

Fuck all you haters picking against us! Delhome gonna lead us to the promised land!

Yates is playing. Just separated shoulder on his non throwing arm, Cush will give him some juice before the game.

Seriously though, losing to the Colts basically has made NFL GAF turn on the Texans.

Also doesn't fucking help Bob is rooting for us, fuck you Bob!

This guy was also giving me crap for picking NYG over Dal last night. How'd that work out? We only agree on Cincy. You're gonna be 1 out of 5. Just stop making picks, or copy mine.
