I actually think that will end up as a pretty tough schedule next year. No way do I see 12-4.

I always wondered--do 49ers fans give Singletary credit for anything? Was it really a case of him being a horrendous coach, or does he get a little credit for bringing some guys in? He seemed awful, but I haven't heard it explained by a 49ers fan.

Make another funny joke.

Apparently irony is dead and everything is taken at it's literal meaning nowadays.

Funny, yes. Tolerated outside of niches like sports/community gaf threads? Maybe not.

Best of luck friend!

.625, son, .625.
Yeah, but next year is what we are talking about. I see very little reason as to why Atlanta should feel like they will be significantly better than just about any team on that list, outside of TB of course.

Looks like the Bears will be in Viking-land for the next few years. So Detroit and GB will have the conference to themselves?
If I were the Bears management, I would start feeling out Joe Philbin and see if he would consider the HC position. Also, Raheem Morris would make a good DC.

Poor Cutler, still behind that OL for another season.

We'll be better next year, probably split again.
But not a fucking blowout against a team that didn't give a shit.

he was a horrible head coach. i'm sure he is a great motivator but beyond that no. here is what you get with singletary:

1. has no idea about X's and O's
2. doesn't do anything football related on fridays. it's "family time" for him.
3. no rhyme or reason as to why certain players start. he just "gets a feeling"
4. worst clock manager in the history of the league. we actually had to hire someone to sit in the booth and manage clock situations for us
5. no coaches wanted to be our offensive coordinator after talking to him because he has no fucking clue what he's doing
6. does not know how to utilize talent

there is other stuff. i'm not really sure i can give him credit for anything. maybe pushing to draft anthony davis and mike iupati? he's just a fucking idiot that doesn't belong as a coach in the NFL. i hope the vikings promote him to DC because i would love to see that trainwreck

We have grit and perseverance.

I mean you can talk all the shit you want but the reality is Tim Tebow was the QB of a team that made the playoffs that started 1-4 before he was inserted as the starter. That's awfully impressive even if he himself wasn't.

If I was Skip I'd be boasting like crazy. Three game losing streak? Who cares.

When Tebow was confident the whole team seemed to play at a different level. Now that he seems like his confidence level has gone down, the team has come back down to Earth.

Personally I have never seen a team win a division and at the same time the fans be unappreciative. People seem to forget that Tebow is still a second year guy, with problems to fix and experience to gain. Looking at some of the garbage on the official Broncos forum pisses me off. Enjoy the ride, dance with the one who brought you, and worry about next season when this one is over. Tebow has a legendary work ethic so give him the time to improve and if doesn't work then move in a different direction. Its not tough really, the media just has to make it in to a goddamn soap opera every week.

I might as well predict..

Bears 2012

Home:
Seahawks - L
Rams - W
Texans - L
Colts - Who Knows.
Panthers - L
Lions - W
Packers - L
Vikings - W

Away:
Cardinals -W
49ers - L
Jaguars - W
Titans - W
Cowboys -L
Lions - L
Packers - L
Vikings - W

So looking forward to 8-8 again. Also I thought we'd play Eagles again but I guess they ended up 2nd in their division. Liked that out of division rivalry that was brewing.

Now just to look forward to losing to the Seahawks at home... again

Oh man, madden fantasy draft so good just to see who ends up where. Cleveland stuck with josh freeman....will continue to basement dwell. Lol

We need you for the repeat of the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

I stick to NFL-GAF and as many Bethesda topics as possible to continue to vent my frustrations over a game I no longer own.

Never really understood the point of predicting wins and losses based on next year's schedule, especially when the current season isn't even officially over yet and we've still got the draft and FA to go through.

Last time Texans got the NFC North we beat everybody except the Vikings.

Should be a little tougher this time around!

"Bears 2012"

Give him a break.

I give him credit for lighting a fire under Vernon Davis. That's about it really. I mean at one point, had he been listened to, the Niners wouldn't have drafted Patrick Willis. Oh let's not forget, thanks to his coaching, he prematurely ended Eric Heitmann's (one of our best lineman) career..

So looking forward to 8-8 again.

Going to be mediocre or bad for a while unless they start drafting a lot better. I hope they really hire a good general manager. I don't really see a purpose in keeping Lovie Smith around. I'd like for a new GM come into town and start fresh. I hope we get somebody young and forward thinking and not some old retread like Polian, Parcells, or Ruskell.

Kind of wish we lost to the Vikings too, would have been picking 13th in the draft instead of 19th.

Confidence. That's the problem.

Im going to assume that you are not being sarcastic. During the Buffalo game, he started to look less sure of himself and started to hold on to the ball way too long. In the KC game it was even more apparent. This may help the Steelers, but I say take the shackles off and call a more well rounded offensive gameplan. If he gets going it will help his confidence, if he makes mistakes then he has to learn from them. If he can't make the throws then it will be something to work on. To be honest I would let him throw every down as long as the game is close. Mix in a run here and there to keep them guessing. I might sound crazy but they need to build some passing rhythm otherwise the run is way too predictable and not effective.

Got a good bunch of games this weekend, although PIT/DEN looks pretty bland. I'll shit my pants if Detroit somehow slides by NO.

I have a really sinking feeling that The Steelers will let the Broncos hang around via the bad Pittsburgh Offense and no turnovers.

Either that or the game will be over by the 3rd quarter.

If you let this last week slide (which you probably should), then its pretty likely they'll be alright. I understand your fears facing our worshipfulness though.

That's 7-9.

How is Ben's leg? Can he throw accurate passes reliably now?
He's fine. Apparently it's still sore, but he's played through much worse.

I'm not worried about last week's game. The Browns ALWAYS play the Steelers tough; frankly the blowouts are more surprising than the close games.

In fact, I really hesitate to judge any team off of their division games.

Dumbass.

Where's our third string thread maker? Migs, you're up!

Damnit. I'm going to have to increase my posting on behalf of Packers GAF.

Id make a thread too, if you guys don't mind it being designed for a 640x480 monitor with MS Paint.
