I was hoping for a substantial redesign.

I'm more concerned with the slide pads than the size of it. I mean, I can accept them on a portable as a matter of practicality, but who at Nintendo thought using a worse feeling less accurate version of analog sticks would be a good idea on the main controller for their next console?Man the controller looks huge. I know that everyone is saying that it is comfortable to hold, but it still looks huge!

The same place the Wii U is going.
Nowhere
Or basically any external drive.Still looks like the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive :/
Do you want a $79 controller, or a $149 controller?

Maybe BurntPork was right to bail.
I'm just messing with him since he always becomes so dramatic lol. I honestly want Nintendo to blow my socks off with the Wii U, but I'm really frustrated by the lack of news.Maybe BurntPork was right to bail.
I may be disappointed by Nintendo's lack of information, but the Gamecube taught me to never doubt them. That little box was a powerhouse and the only distinguishing feature was a little handle sticking out of it's rear. I expect the Wii U to be a powerhouse for it's size too.Such a basic looking console.

When is CES anyway, next weekend?...and the looks doesn't really matter to me,I want to see some games![]()
Speaking of things that look like other things, troll posts like these look like a good argument for a member cull!
The screen on the controller looks like it has no illumination at all, like the original Game Boy Advance. I would guess (and hope) that the lighting is simply turned off, and that's not the full extent of the screen's illumination.
I would go with the $150 controller every time if it was quality. I know I'm in the minority though.
For quality Im willing to pay 150$ for a controller
would you guys pay a million dollars for a controller if it was the best controller ever
I still dislike that they seem to be moving away from the Wii Remote standard setup. The tablet looks uncomfortable, I dislike the slidepads replacing actual analogue sticks... it's just... I don't like it.

Who cares? It's not a TV. You're not supposed to ever look at it from extreme angles or from far away. It's always right in your palm, at an almost 90° angle.Er, I'm talking about the controller screen.![]()

We'll get the $79 controller at the $149 price, I'm sure.![]()
Yeah, this is baffling. I can understand the 3DS since it is a clamshell portable, but there is no reason this controller here can't have real analog sticks. Nintendo choosing something obviously inferior for no reason other than style I suppose.
Is this the promised re-unveiling of the console? Cause it looks an awful lot like what we saw back at E3.
I cant imagine playing any action/FPS/fighting game using that controller.
The same place the Wii U is going.Well, I know where this thread is going.

OMG METROID SPOTTED ON SCREEN![/QUOTE]
yeah but that's metroid prime and no one cares about that
Since we didn't have complete confirmation that the console would actually be there, yes.
