Hey, this is the same management that let Brees, Sproles and Tomilinson, Merriman go for virtually nothing.

Amazing they have any fans at all.

Tomlinson kept sitting out games with a bruised vagina and was due some big contract bonus if not released while Merriman was always hurt. Sproles is inexcusable though.

How is Krazy Kookie Dough different from regular?

I would have gone with Hawaiian Deep Dish and Cool Ranch Doritos myself.

Imagine the cookie dough ice cream you love, then take everything good out.

Replace the cookie dough chunks with bland chalky sugar cubes in bright pink, then pack it in bright yellow too sweet 'cake batter' (if you like to bake Tasteless Cakes) ice cream. Shit, I made it sound better than it is.

On another note, NFL Network discussing 'Eli-te'. He has definitely had a hell of a year so far.

Did you not see what i was all eating? I'm not really going for refined flavors right now. overly sweet is overly perfect right now!

I agree.

I don't know if its nostalgia or something, but when boom and TJ get together, just them two, and run through NFL highlights to this music i just love it. I wish all highlights were done to this music.

Imagine how awesome it would be to have your own funeral processions and highlights of your life to this.

I would fucking so do this if I could.

Saint have big off season. Many big players are free agents including quarter Drew Brees, Pro Bowl guard Carl Nicks, receivers Marques Colston and Robert Meachem, and cornerback Tracy Porter.

Not in love with Brian Schottenheimer hire but I guess I have to trust Fisher. The press conference is Tuesday so maybe he'll clarify his intentions on offense. Schotty is Air Coryell, while Fisher is ground and pound. I'm sure Fisher knows he has to throw to win, but is Schotty the guy to do that? I seem to remember him and Brent not getting along

I just read the end of last years superbowl thread. I feel a bit better now.

Do you guys remember that crazy Australian guy that got all annoyed because the Superbowl winners get called World Champions?

Good stuff.

Those '95 highlights really take me back to my childhood. I even remember some of those commercials! I miss being a young kid with no responsibility

he was an unstoppable force this season until dumbass mccarthy sat him for the final week. 2 weeks without real game action is too much. we see it every year but coaches just don't learn. i understand the injury risk but an injury can happen at any time in any game

Didn't you hear? The Colts called the Packers to give them advice on how to handle the post season.

Rodgers gets better by benching himself in favor of Flynn.

That was the last game we're going to see Flynn in the green and gold. Makes me sad, I like having capable back ups.

My post loss depression meal. No way this doesn't cheer me up, right? Sigh.... and I'll end up eating most of it :( Tomorrow is going to be a running day for sure

God damn it, I really wish I wasn't allergic to gluten and diabetic right now. I can't even eat any comfort foods or get drunk without seriously risking my health. Fucking auto immune diseases.

I guess my strictly controlled 30g carbs of ice cream before sleep will have to count as comfort food... T.T

Watching "the Catch III" at the end of the play after Smith runs to the end zone it looks like he is shouting "We dat" to the Saints players.

Swag.

lol already lovin the commentary on the niners/giants game. they show highlights from our win. VD scores a TD and sure enough here comes michael irvin "WELL THAT WAS WHEN THE GIANTS WERE BLOWING COVERAGES".

oh, that's weird michael, i thought the giants beat the patriots the week before our game.... i thought they came into our game 6-2. not sure though.

then he says the giants didn't have busted coverages today.... uh, yeah they did. there were 2 TD's that rodgers missed. so whatever, this is just how it's going to go for us. this is how it's gone for us all year:

niners win, and everyone makes excuses as to why we won, and none of them give us any credit.

"well you can't expect to get X amount of turnovers"
"well the other team just missed opportunities"
"well you won't be able to kick FG's against such and such team and hope to win"

etc etc etc. and now here's irvin saying the saints gave the game away to us by playing man to man. did you not watch the last TD pass you coke snorting douchebag? alex anticipated VD's cut and threw it IN BETWEEN a LB and safety in zone. there was such a small window to fit that in there....

don't even know why i'm complaining. let these assholes make whatever excuse they want. what will their excuse be if we make it to the superbowl? what will it be if we win it?

Loooolll at least McCarthy gets to coach the Pro Bowl with Who Dat

Dude this is how we roll...We get lucky wins man. Harbaugh came to SF and luckily got 14 wins. Are you telling me we weren't lucky enough to be allowed to score more points than the other team. Are you telling me we weren't lucky to get those gifted turnovers? Are you telling me we weren't lucky when Akers scored all those field goals. Pfft, get a reality check man. WHO'S GOT IT LUCKIER THAN US??? Nobody.

I could never stop listening to Boomer and TJ...They need to stop adding Dilfer into the mix...IMO

Its like hearing Jon Barry in the NBA....UGH

I don't see how any self respecting coach can swallow the 'honor' of getting to coach the Pro Bowl.

I feel like it's worse now that the pro bowl is BEFORE the super bowl. At least in previous years you can just enjoy the year for what it was but to coach in a meaningless game knowing that you had a shot to make it to the super bowl? -_-

Good. I'd rather them be written off, again. I'm sure the talking heads will be slobbing over a Giants-Pats SB again after what happened last time. You gotta feel like some team will play spoiler in that, and I ain't betting on Joe Flacco to do it. Not to mention, Eli seems to be at his worst when everyone jumps back on his bandwagon.

Although, I want the harbowl II. Time for revenge on a neutral field with full rest.

Niners controlled the last game vs Giants. Eli was confused. Threw 2 picks and really should have been a 3rd (I forgot who it was, but a Niner dropped a sure int). Packers D wasn't stellar against Giants in either game, compared to the Niner D.

Alex Smith vs Joe Flacco Superbowl. It will be glorious!

Just made a new avatar from the presser.

:(

Sums up the game very nicely.

And to all who posted music and primetime vids, thank you. Some of the best out there.
There really wasn't anything like Boom and TJ on Primetime, alone, when your team won and was in the playoff hunt. Just fantastic. Now I haven't had cable in a couple of years, do they still do that or are more people involved? or just sportscenter?

The thing about the Niners offense that people are slow to realize is that if you stop the Niners offense, even on a 3 and out, it doesn't get you out of the Niners gameplan. Andy Lee can back the other team up from nearly anywhere he punts on the field. The Niners gameplan is to make the other team drive 80 yards on their defense. As long as the offense protects the ball, they'll eventually turn the game into a short field for themselves. I'm not sure if Alex would have bigger numbers if he was driving from the 20 every time, but part of the reason the offense has less yards per game is because they have less of a distance to travel. If the Niners stop you at 45 yards per drive, they win. If you stop the Niners at 45 yards per drive, they win.

This is why analysts look at the Niners offense all wrong. If you put them into a lot of 3 and outs, that's not going to make them lose. You have to force Alex Smith into turnovers. Every year prior, the offense left the Niners defense out to dry. They don't do that this year. They do well enough on time of possession and they find ways to score. The Giants need to create turnovers.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Alex Smith has finally turned the corner and is an NFL caliber QB now and for the future.

I don't know who I want to win the Super Bowl this year anymore. I think I really just don't care. Football is dead to me.
