Not sure why Fisher is so highly touted. He had 6 winning season out of 17 total seasons. That's not very good.

He's got a bit of the Dave Wannstedt thing going. He was very good at taking bad teams and making them respectable. When he had McNair, his teams were very good. The Rams are 15-65 their past ~6 seasons. .500 is okay

You 49ers fans are so naive. Bears got to the super bowl and all the bad things that plagued em and people said would catch up to them came to fruition, same thing last year. And that's just one team in the past few years. But yeah, you guys are the exception. Get your super bowl replica rings ready

This, this is bitter.

Alex Smith isn't Rex Grossman though bro. I don't like how these 49ers fans are strutting but I guess we have to give them a break. They haven't been there in a while.

Alex Smith showed more guts on one play than Rex Grossman has shown, well, ever.

2011 49ers:

- Tough defense
- good running game
- best special teams in the league
- best turnover margin in the league
- qb who doesn't turn the ball over and can be clutch if we need it
- great coaching staff

Every modern day bears team ever:

- tough defense
- ok running game
- 1 guy on special teams
- horrible, mistake prone QB's who especially love throwing picks in the redzone
- shitty coaching staff

but we'll see!

While I no longer have a dog in the fight, this post is completely asinine. Two completely different worlds of problems. The Bears turned the ball over constantly, and the defense bailed them out.

The 9ers don't turn the ball over, but the defense plays good and the offense just does what they need to do to win. Doesn't work every game, but shit, it's not at all the same.

We aren't even strutting, we are enjoying a season that none of us saw coming. Typical exaggeration from bitter fans whose teams fell short of expectations.

No one gave us a shot against the Saints and we have been downplayed all year. There is not player on the Niners who is about himself, there really isn't a player on the team who is unlikable.

It's funny, and God knows I'm not excited about Greg Williams as a DC, but those blitzes were confounding the 49ers until the end of the game. Especially those green dogs when the 49ers went max protect. He just shit the bed at the end with the dumb blitzes.

Bill Walsh had a line that when DCs feel stressed, they blitz, which makes them predictable. That definitely applies to Williams.

This is my list of rooting interests.

Niners - If they can come back from shit, so can we dammit
Giants - I like Eli. He gets shit on too much by the NY fanbase who are myopic as fuck
Ravens - Lived in Baltimore for a bit. Didn't get stabbed. *shrug*

72 Dolphins, led by Brett Favre with Scott Norwood as the kicker

Patriots

yep, exactly. i don't want this season to end, it has been so much fun. i told all the douchers who said we were frauds that no matter what happened if we got to the playoffs it was just nice to be talked about again and to be in that conversation. it's nice to go into work and have people talk nice about the niners rather than ask why we suck so much dick. its nice to get texts, fb messages, calls, etc. talking up the niners. so keep hating but this season has been awesome for niners fans!

- Any person with a brain would take Cutler over Smith
- Bears have had the best special teams since 04, keep drinking the cool aid.
- Bears coaching staff have taken shitty ass players like Rex to places they didn't belong, they get the most of the shit that the front office gave them.
- Great coaching staff? Yeah people thought Raheem Morris was going to be a great coach too. No one calls players "great" after 1 season, same thing with coaches. Don't call canton yet.

AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH

Now we're interviewing crazy Hue Jackson for OC? I think he's probably smarter than shotty, but then how smart can you be if you go running your mouth like he did?

It would be sweet if it was Ravens vs. Niners for SB46. Brother vs. Brother again, though I don't know if it'll happen. The Pats made short work of the Denver Tebows.

And on a personal level, thank God Tebow is over for now. He's got a bright future ahead of him, most likely, but he got way too much credit, and pushed his religion way too much for my tastes. It's okay to show your faith, but every chance you get? Just play football already and show me why I should care about your existence in the NFL!

Even if they're the most likable of what's left, the Packers are out, so I can only root for good games that keep me excited. Screw all yall

Giants are arrogant d-bags, Brady and Belicheat are Satan, and Flacco is an entitled child and Murderin' Ray, well... you know.

I think I'll go with the 9ers on basis of lesser of three evils alone.

1. i got no problems with cutler. he's a tough dude and can make plays. he can make throws alex can't but he's also a turnover machine. i would take alex on our team all day.

2. they have devin hester.

3. bears coaching staff is also responsible for plenty of playoff collapses. remember when steve smith raped you because your dumb ass coaches refused to roll coverage to his side or double him? lulz

4. what would you call a "rookie" coaching staff that took a 6-10 team to the nfc title game with no offseason? crappy? and i told people last year that raheem morris was garbage. most people knew he was shit and that includes bucs fans

They are still good without him (he was injured the last half of the season), and our coverage teams are consistently at the top of the league.

I know what you're talking about but the long Smith TD was on a blown coverage.

Lucky.

Who the fuck thought Raheem Morris would be great after his first season?

I meant after last year, obvi.

My comment is based on not rooting for anyone other than the Packers. Ever.
I'm not going to be jumping out of my chair when some other team gets a first down, like I would do when the Packers get one they need.
I might clap if a crazy good catch or run happens, but that's regardless of team - just a well played piece of football gets me pumped (Like David Tyree catch in 07/08...I think I got out of my seat and was like, "OH SHIT!!!").

In the end, I don't really care who wins the SB when Packers don't get it. I don't like the idea of being a fan of some other team, even for a few weeks.

I know y'all don't got much else going on up there, but it's just football bro. It's not that serious. Go tobogganing or tractor pullin' or whatever and take a chill.

just saw that the Catch, the Catch II and the Catch III all took place on 3rd and 3. in the case of the Catch and the Catch III, both were at the 14 yard line. what does it mean neogaf??

Eh, still think great is an overstatement, good maybe (and those were mostly buccaneers fans), but don't think many were thinking he would be great.

You have a guy who likes to stab people when upset, and another who had a movie made about him before he ever played a snap in the NFL.

Also, Flacco's whining about respect.

Understand hating Flacco. I hate him. But Suggs is so likable. Plus, Reed, Ngata, Rice, Boldin...come on. Plus, minus the murder thing, Ray is so charismatic.

Who is out there?

I don't know, honestly. But there's no need to rush. Interview a bunch of people. There's lots of really smart people doing very creative things at the college level. Pick their brains and see if it can fit at the pro level

From what I have read, Hue Jackson is actually a very smart offensive mind. But I don't think he has the right temperament to coach a young and struggling offense. They are going to need a guy who can stay on even keel emotionally

I like the Ravens. Like I said, lived there for a bit. Just don't like their chances. You got a great D, but your offense...man, if I had to watch them play in the Super Bowl, I'd basically be in it for the commercials. Y'all play some boring ass offensive football.

It's more about who I want to win the least than anything. Niners haven't won squat since the 90s and like I said, they have way more reasons to hate us than us them so whatever.

Brady is evil incarnate and I like Flacco being a loser so whatever there.

Exactly. You ask the majority of 49ers fans what their expectations were going into the start of the season and 10-6 was probably the best you'd get.

Nobody though that the defense would play like they have. Nobody thought that Harbaugh would get Alex to play like he has. Nobody thought that Aldon Smith would have the season he did (hell, most 49ers blasted that pick when it was made).

About the only way this season could turn into a disappointment is if the 49ers lose the Super Bowl, and even then it would only be because they'd be 5-1.

Eh, still think great is an overstatement, good maybe (and those were mostly buccaneers fans), but don't think many were thinking he would be great.

You're right. I was just going with the verbiage FMT was using. But after last year they didn't think he would end up being this bad.

On what fucking earth are the pats ever the most likeable team?

I LIKE THEM. haha. Don't doubt lord brady man, you playing with fire. He doesn't wear blue color shirts like Smith, but he still grinds man. Steady grindin.

Plenty of people in the northeast like them I assume. You know, the blue color people, making my Vermont chedda.

Well, being likeable and you liking them are two very different things. FFS, I think the Steelers are more liked than the Pats here, and pretty much everyone but steelers fans hates the steelers.

Alleged rapists > cheaters

Hell

Alleged murderers > cheaters

Oh and I'm counting the league making up rules to benefit your team and specifically protect your quarterback as cheating.

What don't you like about the Pats? tapegate? what else.

I am sure you know everybody on whatever team your root for personally and know they are fine human beings with no asshole tendencies and are fine upstanding citizens, that nobody finds annoying.

No big name Pats have raped or (allegedly) murdered anybody to my knowledge (though some might have, who knows). Or pulled pants down. That is very unlikable.
