FUCK THE RAVENS!

Prepping for their eventual move there?

If they aren't, they sure as hell want everyone to think they are. Though Kroenke is talking about having Arsenal play a friendly in STL as a makeup to the city for the lost revenue

Goddamn, gotta scrape some money together so I can watch that smackdown!

I'm definitely going to London if the Pats play there again, wasn't able to go the last time so this would be awesome.

Definitely Pats vs Rams in London. Brady will never play another game in STL unless he is traded.

Bucs vs. Rams in London every year!

In fact make them BOTH move their so we can have that mediocrity off my continent!

The NFL wanted a team to make a multi-year commitment, and the Rams were willing to do so for the next 3 years. They are saying it is a chance for additional revenue, like Buffalo in Toronto. Or course, Buffalo fans are giving up on that team staying and don't always sell out

I think the Rams are purposefully alienating the fans with the London talk and hard line on the stadium. The Patriots were the single biggest home draw the Rams would have had, and they just shipped it off to London. Cleveland moving was a clusterfuck b/c those fans were selling out the stadium. But if the Rams piss off the town so people stop coming, then they can throw up their hands and say "we tried" as they pack up the Mayflower(s) for their eventual home

Packers don’t want to use franchise tag on Jermichael Finley
YES!

Jermichael Finley had some issues with dropped passes this season, but the Packers still want to keep their tight end around. And not just for one year. Finley’s agent Blake Baratz told the Green Bay Post-Gazette that the team would like to sign his client to a long-term deal instead of using the franchise tag. The feeling is mutual.
NO!!!!!!!!

If this gets done, every time he lines up in the wrong spot, when they get back on the sidelines Rodgers or Harrell should be allowed to have target practice on his nuts. He needs to get his fucking head in the game, and quit worrying about Twitter. Same goes for Raji, actually.

I don't really think it's about using LA or London to get a better deal out of STL. STL is done. Kroenke is using London to get leverage on LA. This guy and his wife are worth $7 billion. He collects sports franchises. NFL wants to be in LA and eventually England.

I feel sorry for STL people. This will be the second time they've had a team taken. And they were given an awful product for most of that time with Cardinals and Rams

Is it weird I already booked my flight to London? How far in advance do they usually sell tickets for games ?

In my experience of going to the london games for the past couple of years there is normally a small round of tickets sold in January and then the main bulk of tickets are sold in early September.

The tickets are normally sold on the uk ticketmaster.

Not sure on the specifics but the guy who dug this up had of been near his elbow in reaching up the ass to please the Giants DL are god-like talking point.

Since week 8 with the 4 DEs on the field they are getting a sack every 7.5 passes.

As far as I can tell that is average. If you aren't getting a sack on passing situations, that is when you put in your pass rush unit, you fucking suck. The best teams this year were every 10-ish passes overall.

And Elisabeth Hasselbeck's husband says Alex Smith is more likely to throw a pick because he threw 1 in the first game.

He did have a pass that bounced off Ted Ginn's face fall into the other teams lap.

Eli had 2 completions to 49ers that game and almost a 3rd but Goldson's 2nd foot came down out of bounds.

How much did you pay for the tickets?

October 28th, apparently.
Shit's gonna be expensive, and I'm a lowly student. Dammit.

I paid €135,- per person for the flights so thats not so bad, hope the tickets aren't too expensive. lol

It's lame on Kroenke's part if you ask me. The guy is from Missouri and he certainly doesn't need any more money, but then again in today's world staying loyal to your roots is an alien concept.

How much did you pay for the tickets?

the price of your seat depends on where you sit, i think the cheapest are normally around £35 which is right down in front of the end zone and quite low, I normally pay about £45 and get a fairly good view high up. Obviously the better seats will cost more i think the most expensive ticket is about £125

That's not so bad, thats around 150/160 euros at the moment, right ?

So I hope to be done for around €600,- per person including hotelcosts, that's manageable.

So it's official!

Also confirmed that the first game will be against the Pats, so I need to go to London next year.

See you boys there if you can make it. Also, a piece of advice (been there a few times), buy tickets at Wembley. The games are never quite sold out and there are always people trying to desperately sell their tickets before kick-off. And not right by the tube station, but near the stadium. I find I always get a discount on face value of up to 50%.

Haha, that's too risky for my liking. If I pay more than 300€ for flights, food and accomodation, I don't want to risk not getting a ticket just because I want to save a few bucks.

Haha, now I'm jealous.
At what time are those games usually? 8 p.m. local? Spending a night in London shouldn't be too cheap either.

If you book early, it'll be around 100 reichseurodeutschmarkecu. As for hotels in London, it's not as bad I find. Games are around 6 local, iirc, but you'll need to get Monday off as there is no way you can catch a flight on Sunday after the game.

There were always lots of people selling tickets (all games, even those with better teams, ahem). I know there is an outside risk, I mean, try the official lottery thingy, but it's really cheaper at the stadium.

It sucks for Rams' season-ticket-holders that they lose a home game for each of the next three years.

This may be a stupid question, but will the price of their season tickets be changed accordingly as a result of this?

I fly in on Saturday and fly back home on monday morning, so hope to see some cool things in London, the last time I was there is 7 years ago or something like that. Just heard my dad (who's going with me) will pay for the hotel so that's nice.

Coach Jim Harbaugh wants two things in preparing for the New York Giants this Sunday at Candlestick Park in the NFC Championship Game. He wants it to rain on his team in practice, and he seemingly wants his team to be loose.

Harbaugh extended his Thursday news conference by asking a question of his own.

"Isn't anybody going to ask me about the weather?" he queried.

When questions were asked, he said, "I noticed when I was standing on my balcony today at about 6:20, 6:30 (a.m.), looked out and saw a very red sky," Harbaugh said. "That means, 'red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in morning, sailor take warning.' So, I anticipate that we'll have some precipitation today, some weather, and that will be a great thing for us."

By mid-practice Thursday, light rain was falling. The forecast for Sunday is for a 40 percent chance of rain. The 49ers have played all 17 of their games this season in fine weather.

Players seemed unfazed by the possibility of rain, particularly if it's light.

"You are going to call the same type of game you are going to call regardless (of weather). So, I really don't think too much is going to factor in," defensive lineman Justin Smith said.

GAME PLAN: The 49ers are one of the best run-stopping teams in league history according to the statistics, and the Giants finished the season ranked 32nd in rushing. The 49ers would like to keep things that way and make Eli Manning beat them, which has been their strategy all season. The 49ers have proved vulnerable in the secondary this year. The Giants went with five-man lines and nine-man fronts in the last meeting on Nov. 13. That's unlikely to happen in this game because 49ers quarterback Alex Smith is improved and the 49ers are not a huge running threat.

MATCHUPS TO WATCH: 49ers front seven, which includes three All-Pro players, vs. Giants offensive line, which has allowed only 16 sacks in the last 13 games including playoffs.

49ers coverage teams which caused two fumbles last week, vs. Giants punt and kickoff teams, which struggle.

Giants QB Eli Manning, who's having a prolific season, vs. 49ers secondary, which is prone to big plays.

GAME PLAN: The Giants' offense will face perhaps the toughest defense to date, a tough 49ers defense that creates all kinds of headaches for opposing offenses, and that rarely makes critical mistakes.

For the Giants, the first and most important thing atop their list is ball security. The 49ers finished the regular season plus-28 in the giveaway/takeaway department, and last week against a very good Saints offense, they came up plus-4. During the regular season, the 49ers converted 38 of their opponent's turnovers into 108 points, or 28.4 percent of their total scoring.

Another objective for the Giants offense will be avoiding third-and-long situations. The 49ers have stopped opponents on 44.2 percent of their third-down attempts when the yards needed was six or more; when the yards needed was five or less, the 49ers have only stopped opponents 28.1 percent of the time.

MATCHUPS TO WATCH: Giants LB Michael Boley vs. 49ers TE Vernon Davis. The last time these two teams met, Davis, who mostly went against Boley, was held to just eight yards on one reception before a hamstring injury at the end of the second quarter forced the linebacker out of the game. Davis, who last week had seven receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns including the game-winner, went on to finish that game with three catches for 40 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown catch that put his team in the lead for good.

I'm pulling for the 49ers since it has been longer for them since the last time they went to the SB. I think either of these teams can beat the Patriots. Both of these teams will have a harder time with the Ravens since the Ravens' defense matches up well with both.

I mean I'm all for making whatever you can. It's just weird to me that after $4 billion you still need more. Bud Adams is from Houston. Still has his offices there and lives there. But he did not hesitate to move the team.

@RBH They announced season ticket holders only have to pay for the 7 games in STL

Club seats for the Rams-Patriots game will go on sale on Jan. 25. General admission tickets to the game will be available on Feb. 2-3. In the upcoming weeks, the Rams will announce ticket opportunities and travel packages for Rams season ticket holders and fans.

Goodell can go to hell with expanding the game to Europe like this.

Either move a team there or keep the teams in their respective cities.

You can't do both.

I've decided that I pulling for the Ravens and Giants. Rooting against the Pats needs no explanation, and sorry 9ers GAF in due respect to the old NFC West, I can not root for you. Your team did their job getting rid of the Saints.

I personally like it, 'cause it's a whole lot less expensive to go to London then to fly to Boston. And one game a season isn't too bad, but I'm afraid it's getting out of hand with talk of multiple games in Europe.

I just wish Goodell made a move on the issue one way or the other.

If he wants to expand then he should just expand.

Arians retires

I simply don't know what to say, it's like winning the SB without even getting there!! Though now there will be no excuses for shitty red zone play.

Literally was about to post this. Fuck yes. Fucking fuck yes.

I hope all the teams stay in the US. I don't think a permanent franchise in Europe will work, there is a reason NFL Europe failed.

Yeah, because it was fucking boring. It was a developmental league anyway, too costly and a half-arsed attempt at expansion, if it was an attempt at all. I agree though, I don't think a single franchise would be profitable in Europe.
