Anyone able to recommend a nice controller for PC that is similar in feel to a PS3 controller? Wired is fine, off brand is OK.

You can use an actual PS3 controller on PC over USB. It's even possible to use MotionInJoy to get it recognized as a 360 controller by various games.

I always wondered what it meant when a Television show or Movie uses the "And" or "With" label before the actor/actress names during the credits for a trailer or in the movie.

Like for example:
(some actors for The Expendables 2 are used for my example)

Starring
Sylvester Stallone
Jet Li
Jason Statham
Randy Couture
Terry Crews
Jean-Claude Van Damme

with Chuck Norris
and Arnold Schwarzenegger

I would guess that it means the person only has a small amount of screen time than the other people, but the movie studios want the names used to make it seem like a big/good cast to potential viewers of the trailer or movie.

Or perhaps it's to just indicate those are special actors and/or actresses, and when they signed onto the movie their contract stated they would get a "and" or "with" in the credits to make them "special".

I am also wondering the same thing for TV shows that list their guest stars with "Special Guest Star" or "Special Guest Appearance by:" (I noticed this mostly with the television show "24" than any other show). I mean the word "special" already indicates this guest star is "special", but is it something the TV studios and show producers give as an extra incentive for those actors/actresses so they would sign on to appear as a guest star?

Anyone with some insight on this? I was always curious about this, and assumed my guess was correct, but never got a confirmation or proper answer from anywhere or anyone.

What does ITT and RTTP mean on thread titles?
I know LTTP means "late to the party", but I just can't figure out the other two. Revisiting the party? Iterative thread title? help me ouuuuut

There was this music video on the Internet a few years ago... maybe 2006 or 2007 with this blonde long-haired dude and it was an epic fantasy music video with knights and elves and shit. I can't remember his name for the life of me and my Google-Fu is weak as hell today.

Anyone remember it at all?

Edit: Chris Dane Owens... I finally found it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDyDz8WeiM4

Does anyone know of a good resource for info about anorexia - specifically inadvertent onset anorexia? My teenage niece seems to have developed this and her parents are having trouble understanding it, and the doctors are apparently not proving to be at all useful either ("We can't find anything wrong with her.")

It is pretty much this. If an actor can't get top (ie first) billing they might negotiate to get an "And" or something similar to denote them as special. It is often for a bigger actor playing a smaller part in the film.

Are there any cloud/sharing sites for (python) code? I want to share and edit some code online but sites like codepad generate new links for each edit and googledocs messes up the formatting.

I'm looking into hosting services so I can upload stuff for future projects and want others to be able to download my stuff.

Can anyone recommend a reliable host that doesn't charge too much?

pastebin.com is pretty good, I've used it a few times for group work in uni.

Dropbox offer 2 GB accounts for free and it's easy to share specific folders with other people. Send me a PM if you want a referral and we'll both get 250 MB of bonus space. A 50 GB account is $9.99/month.

I prefer SugarSync over Dropbox. SugarSync gives you 5 GB free, with an additional 750 MB if you go through their tutorial. But the reason I use SugarSync instead of Dropbox is the ability to upload and sync folders already on my hard drive instead of having to manually move things to a separate Dropbox folder. You can upgrade the size, starting at 30 GB for $50/year.

Likewise, you can PM me for a referral which earns both people 500 MB.

There was an amazing art thread recently, with huge anime-like desktop big super-massive highly-detailed pictures. I just can't remember what kind of art it was. But definitely some kind of digital art. Anyone know where that thread is?

edit: Maybe even Japanese, but I'm not sure about this last clue.

The user Jakncoke would abuse the :lol smiley, so when it was removed people would put :jnc in his honour.

Or something like that anyway.

After it was removed, he kept using it by hosting the same smiley externally. For which he was temp-banned.

That's what led to the :jnc.

Would it be against the rules to make a "Welcome New Juniors" thread? I remember there being one when I got approved, but during the next wave one got locked.

Anyone else getting a flash version error recently while using the latest version of Hulu Desktop and Flash, and is there any way to resolve it?

Can anyone tell me what's going on with all the avatars? Are people switching to their real life faces? If yes, why? Or am I just seeing things?

Does anyone know of a good program for keeping a to do list? I want something where when I think of something that's gotta get done in the near future I'll just enter it and then I can check it off later. I tried just using a Word doc for a while but I'd always end up not using it in the end. More or less I just want something I can refer to when I'm getting lazy to go accomplish something and keep track of my progress.

Try sticky notes on your desktop - that's what I did.

I use a combination of sticky notes on my secondary monitor for short term stuff and the Notes panel of Ominmo for long-term stuff and things I need to do online

You don't need to have it set up like they show it on the site, here's my setup http://i.imgur.com/VrWIB.jpg

Anyone else have a problem with Chrome were sometimes it doesn't let you search for things using the address bar?

When I type something in there, it just takes me to google.com. I have to close chrome and reopen it to get it working again.
