So Alex Smith's top receivers for today were VD and ankles.
He needs more help on offense.
He needs more help on offense.
You think the rain, wind, and wet heavy ball had anything to do with that?
Do people here watch the Pro Bowl? I always find it kind of shitty
TO is actually going to get into the HoF though.
Wow! That makes me feel much better!

From an outsider's point of view, I thought it was a good call. Those things occasionally go back and forth, which is frustrating. Sorry it went against you though; it's a pretty terrible feeling.
Peyton is infinitely more valuable to his team than Eli is. They didn't win today's game or the last Super Bowl they played in because of him. They were lucky to win both.

Harbaugh: "We can be destroyed but not defeated"
God I hope the 49ers brass reads it that way. Surround a shitty player with talent, surely he will find them!
Scrappier receivers.Obviously he needs shorter receivers.
But you see my point, how can you call forward progress being stopped when there are dozens and dozens of fumbles every year where someone falling backwards loses the ball. By that standard the only way to ever cause a fumble is to knock the ball out directly with the guy moving forward in momentum.
Forward progress is a rule to stop the play when 3-4 guys have the guy stood up to prevent injury. Not a haphazard way to blow the play dead because a guy is falling backwards. It's just bullshit, that's all, but this is the NFL of course. They make up the rules as they go along.
I think he gets some of the praise for making some of the throws he did under extreme pressure. Taking monster hits from a very good defensive front that was after him all game long. He made a few questionable throws that might have been picked off but your defense didn't make the plays. It is what it is.etiolate said:I'm just pointing out that its weird to praise Eli for this game.
You act as if 49'ers didn't have their chances. They blew it at least 20 times.
Jesus, get over it. It's their own damn fault they lost.
:lol @ the Niners being worse than any team in the AFC.RE: Peyton vs. Eli
Remember that Peyton's played much of his career in a dominant AFC with far better teams than the NFC. Look at this year: 2 out of the 3 teams the Giants played might not have even made the playoffs in the AFC (Falcons and Niners). Niners probably would've got in at like 10-6 but no way ATL makes it.
Peyton had to play through an era with powerhouses like New England, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, San Diego, and so on. There is no debate. That's not even including the stats differences.

Just walked our dog around the block. 5:00 a.m. now over here.
I'm pretty depressed right now. We were so close...
Oh, and regarding Kyle Williams: Cut him some slack. He's still very young and inexperienced.
There's no need to be bitter about this loss.
This has been a very successful season for the 49ers.
It's sad that it's over now, but we'll be back. Soon.
Yes, the pick is obvious because you have a gut feeling about it, :jnc. How can we possibly refute that flawless logic?FYI I called the Niners win over the Saints several times last week as well but had made an avatar bet with FMT after trolling him about the Niners chances so was rooting for the Saints. I have no stake in the Super Bowl, don't really care for either team and am indifferent to the eventual victor, but in terms of the obvious pick it's the Pats, and again it's not because they're favored.

They had their chances but it was a stupid ass whistle that probably would have won the game.

Anyone who is happy after today's events can suck a dick, as far as I'm concerned.

Hey Miguel:
lol
They still made the stop. It was Kyle Williams who fucked the return, not a whistle.
Can we still suck a dick if we arn't happy?

Maybe the pre-Schaub injury Texans and the pre-Ben injury Steelers.
Cmon dude, try harder
