Well, this is not the art shots thread. I welcome screen shots with FPS counters, HUDs or settings other than high/ultra. It's even educative in that way because people can see how a system with certain specs perform.

That's all well and good, but if you're going to post fugly crap like that, you can at least force some decent AA at the very least. Some of us value our eye sight. You can't argue its a performance or incompatibility issue when you're posting a bloody HLE N64 emulator shot.

Max Payne holds up really well. Remember it being one the first games that made my jaw drop at the graphics when i first saw it in action as well.

It holds up well in the gameplay department, too. Its simplicity really helps it stand the test of time, I think. Shooting shit never gets old, especially in slow motion. I just need to remember to quick save more often. LOL

I forced on transparency supersampling to try to clean up the foliage a bit, but by god the low resolution transparencies they use for some of the plants make me sad. I'm getting tired of saying this in this thread but if they shipped the game with high-resolution textures on PC it would be a stunner.

It's also a damned shame that the only states Lara can be in aside from her normal appearance are wet and dirty, but I guess they know what their fans want.

A hidden unlockable blow-bang cutscene?

looks good but very sparse on details.

this slick sci-fi aesthetic is born out of memory limitations.

In general Mass Effect 1 is very unpolished and looks to be developed with insufficient manpower. ME2 is much more rich in detail on the same hardware.

Lime, are you using Tiledshot there?

Yep, I use Tiledshot=4. The problem with using it in Mass Effect is the game's Vignette filter, which is inserted into each shot in the picture. The only way to remove this vignette filter is by setting the UsebPostProcessing to False, which results in weird colour saturation and hue. So didn't use it very much.

But it looks sooooo goooood.

Why isn't it working? If it hangs on a black screen when you first boot you should leave it for awhile as the first load can take a really, really long time. Otherwise, are you sure you're loading the right executable in TexMod?

It's a black screen for 5-10 mins as expected, I load up my save file (do you need to start a new game maybe?) and even though it took ages to load, the textures aren't working, at least, the character ones aren't, I'm finding it hard to tell if the ones for the normandy are. I use the me2.exe in the binaries folder, not the launcher.

I might just re download them all, see if something went wrong there.

Interesting, thank you for the reply. :)

Downsampled as before

Hm, I'm trying to get some pictures done, and while I've used Tiledshot before (for Dark Void), I'm getting the window-like image on each screenshot I've taken. Like a bunch of little faint dark windows inside the picture.

Any ideas as to why I'm getting it Lime?

Dark Void never gave me issues. :/

When this game looks good, it looks So Good. Some areas could almost pass as concept art.
Unfortunately, Fraps was crapping out on me so i'm missing over half the shots I took. :/

This might be a good screenshot if it wasn't so disgustingly dirty EWWWW

I love Skyrim shots that are just over filled with detail, but I hope you have that as a BMP still because you need to upload that in better quality!

Edit - I was going to say, I'm not really certain but I don't think I've seen many Space Marine shots in this thread?

Does anyone have recommendations for Crysis 2 configs/mods that improve quality by changing settings that don't affect performance?

Like I wrote in my original post, Mass Effect's Vignette filter ruins the Tiledshot. You have to go into BioEngine.ini and set the following parameter under Engine.GameEngine to False:

Code:
[Engine.GameEngine]
bUsePostProcessEffects=False

This removes the Vignette filter (and thus solves the issue you are having), but you lose the other postprocessing effects.
