Has anyone played it on all three systems yet? I have tried it on both the PC and PS3. It looks pretty good on both. Thinging about getting it on Ps3 but need to try 360 version as well hopefully us lowly Xbox silver users will get it tomorrow.
I've only played PS3 and 360 versions. Of the two I much prefer the 360 version. It seems to have fewer bugs (mainly referring to the ground disappearing on the PS3 version), and the PS3 demo's framerate is uncapped, which leads to some truly ugly gameplay especially when indoors.

Amalur preorder is $45 at Toys R Us, FWIW. Probably enough to get me to bite.

I sent Amazon the link. Hopefully, if enough people will do this, they will price match.
Judging by the demo and what people here are saying about a locked framerate on the ps3 version, looks like this game'll be the same as every other case this gen. 360 has better AA and slightly better effects but runs at sub-HD, whereas PS3 runs native but doesn't have as good AA.

It's unlocked in the ps3 version. Not locked.
Is there an OT yet?
There's a Curt Schilling interview on a podcast called The Final Score, too. Starts in their most recent podcast at about 1h 7m 30s regarding Amalur. Lots of information in it, supposedly, but I've not yet listened to it.

The biggest news I found from that
- First DLC will be released around Mass Effect 3 release, will have a lot of content
- DLC will be introducing more of the MMO world
- 2nd DLC confirmed
Wowza.Yeah, I read that on another site, plus "When it was sent to EA for approval, the response was that they had too much content in their DLC"
Hate to agree with this but its its true. The game world is missing something very important that could keep me fully engaged but I haven't managed to put my finger on exactly what, so "soul" will have to do.absolutely soulless.
It hasn't been posted yet but apparently someones already finished it.Is there an OT yet?
hate the artstyle. absolutely soulless.
Okay. I live in Japan and I have played the 360 demo, however, I can't get the demo off of Steam due to my region being blocked. Is there any way I can get the demo? I am going to play Mass Effect 3 on the PC since that's where I started and I've never had Steam block games from me until now. Having to play the PC version to get the items for ME3 sucks. I need another option.
So maybe someone here can clarify this - when I look at the destiny cards for mix-class, in addition to more stat bonuses it appears like we also get new moves. Am I reading that right? It appears that if I want the ability to warp through enemies instead of rolling, I need 13 points in both Finesse and Sorcery, and then choose the card from the Finesse/Sorcery grouping. Am I right or way off?
Some destinies provide unique skills. I believe only the pure sorcery and sorcery dual classes have some variation of the rolling substitute (blink). So maybe someone here can clarify this - when I look at the destiny cards for mix-class, in addition to more stat bonuses it appears like we also get new moves. Get it through Origin. ME3 is not coming to Steam, and the Steam version of Amalur is not EA published, so I highly doubt the Steam demo would unlock those items anyway. Other than that I don't know.
I've reached the point where comments like this are just white noise now. I could never look at the art work of the Fae buildings, fae dungeons etc and think they were soulless. So much thought and effort went into making all of that unique. Not to mention the art/animations on the various enemies in the demo (boggarts, brownies, thresh). But I guess that's why we all have opinions.

I love the art style in this game so far. The colors alone make me giddy. COLORS DEVELOPERS WHY ARE YOU SCARED OF RAINBOWS?!

I agree. I think the world and overall look of the game is fantastic. I didn't/don't care for the way the world looks in Skyrim. If this game is "soulless", then Skyrim is simply dead.
I can't be the only one wandering in that world and finding something very much missing, something that meshes everything together. Lacking sould may be a harsh way of putting it, but yeah, all of these elements I love are in the game and yet it isn't impressing me as much as I'd expected. I'm buying this game is in the hope that the gameplay systems overshadow what it lacks.
If you'd rather look at this game than the majesty which is Skyrim, I just don't even know. I think Lord of the Rings Online is F2P. Save some money.
Same here. I'm definitely grading on a curve for the genre and hoping that with the full world opening up that I'll end up surprised. Its a risk though, but I'll take it because I like how the game is being approached, a ton of the design ideas, and how engaged 38/Big Huge have been with their community.BUT. It's a first outing in one of the HARDEST genres to nail. I'm willing to meet them halfway here.
Not bad, but I'm going to wait until the steam version goes on sale. I don't support $60 pc games so even at $50 it would be day 1.
Neither are soulless. Skyrim nails the Viking meets Conan vibe, and this really has some striking scenery and a very cute style (even though it cribs from WoW a bit too much).
Let's not let this devolve into a fantasy dick waving contest. The game isn't even released.
