So Kyle Williams death threats are being investigated by the NFL and law enforcement. Maybe I should delete some Facebook comments now...

I still cannot fathom how sad some people can be to threaten someone's life, much less a person they'll never meet, on something like Facebook or Twitter.

Not to toot my own horn,

but I deserve some sort of award for being a Panthers fan who's posted in every thread this season.

When you've been to the places we've been, when you've had heart torn out pick after motherfucking Jake Delhomme pick, when your defense gets ripped to shreds on a weekly basis, it's not an easy thing to do.

It's not FUCKING EASY, GODDAMNIT!

Your award is that you get to do it all again next season!

...I think the Vikings/Bills/Brown/Bengals quadrangle of suck have it the worst. Sorry, Grover, but our teams were shitting the bed before yours even existed.

I mean, Tampa fucking Bay won a Super Bowl before these 4 teams who have been around pretty much since forever.

You can't explain that.

The Saints won a super bowl as well.
The only stranger thing would be the
Lions winning one.

If the Falcons or Panthers ever win a Super Bowl, it might kill me.
I don't want any more teams in the division winning one, Saints getting it was bad enough.

You're not winning anything with Freeman having to coach himself.

Quite frankly, you're probably not winning anything with Freeman in general

Fuck you, Detroit is winning it next season

Fattest starting QB maybe?

Had to go starting because Jamarcus was in the league once and may be as a guard soon. And Jared Lorenzen was pretty fat too

Rewatching SB XLII reminded me that the Pillsbury Throw-boy has a ring.

I could probably wear it like a bracelet.

Don't kill him bro it's not worth it.

Niners fans have really turned into, over the last four days, into the worst people/fans out there. Jeez, were the Texans fans threatening Jones (comparable because Williams outdid him on a similar stage)? Does any team boo during an anthem? I love my man FMT and the other niners posters (level nth, etc), but damn dude your group of fans went from "aww nostalgic and a bit rabid" to "holy shit they all have fucking rabies" in an instant.

Those are just Raider fans trying to make us look bad.

I've been fascinated with a long time with how Europeans develop and follow American sports. Do y'all find it easy to watch games? What news outlets do you read - American-based sources or attempted local reporting like The Guardian in the UK? Are there bars in the area that stream games?

Luckily we have ESPN America now which is absolutely awesome. We never had ANY network dedicated to sports 24/7. Well there's Eurosport but they show a lot of awful stuff like Biathlon.

Anyway the only real downside is obviously that most games are at a horrible time for someone who has a regular work schedule. I will however never understand how anyone can be real passionate about a team on another continent. Sure I root for some teams over others but there is obviously no real attachment to any franchise.

For info I love to listen to the NFL Today podcast (I'm sure GAF hates it cause..well GAF hates everything) and of course browse this thread, although thats more for amusement.

Some reports on sports radio that some fans burned Jacobys jersey on his front lawn

Oh come on its not fair to include the Vikings in that group.

Sure they never won a Superbowl but they are like 5th or 6th all time in win percentage.

Can't tell if Lions or Bucs fan.
He could be a fellow Skins fan.

Bay Area fans are like this in general. That's why I wish nothing but pain and suffering to all of their useless sporting franchises.

They were pretty bad once the playoffs started. I think they snorted too much FMT and got into their head that there are no repercussions for being complete asses. And now they've lost in a way that's hard to take and don't know what to do. I think they know the likelihood of repeating such a season will be pretty hard with their current offensive team.

This ain't a battle you want to start homie. Browns-GAF will destroy you.

they're all morons, how many times and how many places was it announced that police officers would be undercover in giants gear?

“We plan on changing the NFL jersey dramatically just like we’ve done with the college programs, using new thinking and the greatest technology available,” Denson said. “The NFL program hasn’t had the same type of advancement in recent years.
what the shit. They better not look like those ones that have been floating around for a while, those are awful.

Pro Football Talk said:
In a lengthy interview containing plenty of content, context, and clues about the future of the Colts current franchise quarterback, Peyton Manning makes it abundantly clear to Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star that now isn’t the best time to be an employee of the team.

“I’m not in a very good place for healing, let’s say that,’’ Manning said, regarding the team’s facility. “It’s not a real good environment down there right now, to say the least. Everybody’s walking around on eggshells. I don’t recognize our building right now. There’s such complete and total change.’’

so is that like admitting that he didn't previously understand the rule as it was written?

So what are you guys' thoughts on Joe Philbin as the Dolphins coach? Please someone convince me that he stands a chance in an organization run by Ross and Ireland.

What's Harbaugh been saying?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...gh-compares-bradshaw-non-fumble-to-tuck-rule/
On Monday, Harbaugh expressed his displeasure with the ruling.

“In my opinion, that was a fumble,” Harbaugh said Monday, via NFL.com. “I’m sure the league will defend it and the officials will defend it. But to me, that play was still going on. There was still struggling by Bradshaw. . . . I felt like it was analogous with the tuck rule.”

I'm mildly optimistic that our O won't suck as much, but I fear we are going to give up 20 first rounders for Flynn who's gonna be out of the league in 2-3 years. That's what happens to every QB we spend draft picks on. :(

Yeah, I'm really not sold on Flynn being the solution to the Dolphins' QB issues. I'd love to be proven wrong, of course, but the scenario you're talking about seems a lot more likely given our recent history.
