I don't remember Skyrim having this much bloom and text.

Just for known... The HD texture and other mods may cause problem with Steam? I just began ME2, and i'd like to use some texture mod and other. :)
And, all those mods you linked before, I was wondering, they modify all the armor and clothes or just specific one?

I assume they work with the Steam release. All you use is the tool TexMod. You select all the textures mods you wish to inject, and then the game's direct executable, and boot from there. There should be an executable in the Steam file format, but you might need to do a few things to get them working. The TexMod thread on the BioWare forums no doubt explains it.

And basically all the textures I use are character textures, as in HQ textures for your squad. Environments, weapons, objects and enemies are all still vanilla, but I'm taking happy snaps anyway. I mean, there's a few texture mods for the Normandy interior, but I'm only using the HQ galaxy map, none of the floor texture mods or anything.

Couple of TOR shots. For all the shit the game got for its graphics, it can look really nice sometimes. Alderaan and Hoth were brilliant, so happy there's an extra questline on Alderaan, started it last night :D

Unfortunately these pics are from before I learned that having 4SSAA on transparent AA or whatever its called was what was crippling my framerate in conjunction with in-game 4x AA.

Nice screens of ME2. I might play through it before ME3 hits in March.

Also, FYI, Texmod doesn't work with the Steam .exe of ME1 or ME2. I think you have to get a fixed exe or the retail one.

Thanks, I was just interested in character mod.
Does these mod really increase the first loading up to 5-10 minutes? Woah, that's quite a long time...

Oh well, 10 minutes saved, lol

Edit: Ops, sorry for the double post

Why skip the option for better textures? As Eatchildren has shown, the difference is extremely noticable and a huge improvement on the console-like port of ME2. If you think the wait is too long, you can easily alt+tab while ME2 loads (as indicated by its increasing memory usage when starting up the game) and surf the net, talk to your loved ones, or think about the deep questions of life.

Confidence Man: is there any chance you'd be willing to take the time to share your settings/mods to get that look?

Hey man, are you using tons of mods and all that? I haven't Skyrim installed at the moment, the bad performance and bugs made me uninstall it but I will obviously play it some day and when that comes I would love to get it to look like that. Did you fiddle a lot with settings and mods to get it to look like that?

Nice pics sethos, what's the performance like when playing like that? Does it look like that while playing or is that some kind of "photo-mode" mod?

Thanks.

With the above IQ I'm running between 5-25FPS, depending on the scene. It's a default setting with tons of AA / Super sampling, HQ AO and extreme DoF. You can easily get something similar to that at a playable 40-50FPS, you just need to remove most of the AA effects and perhaps turn off AO. Also use a less aggressive DoF as the one I'm using is strictly labelled photo DoF and it'll constantly blur your car and everything you look at because it works strictly by middle-focus. But it's still very much usable the settings you see in the picture, just for cruising around and taking pictures, really awesome.
