I was driving home tonight and Doug Gottlieb was on ESPN radio. Usually I don't listen to this but my coworker was giving me a hard time about Manning coming to Denver and shipping Tebow off. He thinks I'm crazy because I wouldn't want to risk bringing Manning in.
The teams listed on this show were Denver and San Francisco. Personally, I think it's a bit crazy to even talk about Manning coming to Denver. Manning would demand significant financial obligations which I don't think Denver should dedicate. I would rather build a good overall team, and hope that either Tebow improves or we land a guy in the draft that can do the job.
Am I crazy to think that Manning is a risk, and would hurt the team rather than giving us a chance to build something better long term? If we commit to him and he gets hurt, we are further behind then we would be without him.
