Ehh.....

10 Super Bowls between them? Even with Kelly dragging them down with the losses I still think 83 wins easy.

That's the reason I said "kind of maybe start thinking about..."

5 SB appearances already with 2 wins out of just two guys as opposed to the 4 guys that went 2-9 in Super Bowls from the '83 class. The Steelers and Giants have been competitive most years that Eli and Ben have been on the respective teams, it's easy to foresee another 2-3 SB appearances.

The Texans looked very good this season and likely could have made a run to the game with Schaub.

Phil Rivers is our very own Ken O'Brien.

All that aside, Elway, Marino, Kelly are three of the greatest QBs to have ever played the game. It will be hard to put Ben and Eli onto that level considering guys like Erron, Peyton, and Brady are their contemporaries.

On Mike and Mike this morning, Shefty believes Colts are gearing up to release P. Manning next week as early as Tuesday morning.

Isn't the bonus date early March? Why release him early? It just gives other teams more opportunity to evaluate and eventually sign him.

It was so crazy yesterday hearing him say that when the Colts interviewed GMs they wouldnt discuss Peyton at all. It is going to be wierd seeing him in a different jersey in the future.

Gonna be painful listening to him on whatever pre-game show nabs him (please go to ESPN, where I'll never have to listen to you ever again).

Serious? Have you never heard Manning talk about football? He'll instantly be the best color guy in the league if given the job.

I've heard his voice, yes. Not interested in listening to Gomer talk. Much like I don't want to hear Shannon Sharpe's mouthful of marbles, Dan Marino's stammering, Michael Irvin's...I have no word to describe his particular brand of idiocy.

As a Pats fan, I'd prefer to see a surprise attack involving Underwood and Slater. Chad doesn't do much significantly different than the guys they've been using all year.

That's a really good plan man, a surprise attack of two players that can't catch footballs.

Slater is not an offensive threat and is only kept around for special teams, and I'm pretty sure Underwood is just comic relief thanks to his hair.

Yeah, Belichick is purposely keeping guys on the roster that can't catch. Because that's how he rolls, right? The fact of the matter is the O-Line got decimated day one and they've lacked the time needed to even use deep threats.

Who gives a shit about his voice if he is providing highly intelligent analysis?

So the Colts can move on as soon as possible I imagine. The earlier they move on from Manning the sooner they can focus on rebuilding their own team etc...

He was kept on the team because he was fast. He couldn't catch. We don't need a deep threat anyway, 10 yard passes to Gronk become 30 yard plays as he barrels through defensive backs

May not be an option since the hardest thing to do on a high ankle sprain is running 10 yards and stopping on a dime, and then taking off again. The cynical side of me says that if Rob was healthy, they'd have had him in a giant boot yesterday and then carried out on a stretcher. I don't know this Belichick that I've been seeing in interviews this week. He's answering questions in a thoughtful manner. Is he resigned to losing? Or does he know something no one else does? Or maybe he's just getting older and knows he wont get to the SB much more.

Just because the Patriots aren't owned by a bunch of commies doesn't mean you should hate on my boy Kraft!

There's a reason I can't listen to Bill Simmons' podcasts besides being bored.

If Simmons' podcast is anything like the articles he used to write, he certainly isn't providing intelligent analysis of anything other than maybe Saved by the Bell.

Me. The person that wrote that he didn't enjoy the sound of Peyton's voice. I thought I made that clear.
Oh yeah, I forgot you're new to the sport. Jaws is probably perfectly acceptable then.

I can't take Simmons seriously since he keeps bringing up his stupid "Ewing Theory" all the time.

Yep, the only source of "intelligent" football analysis and insight is from Gomer Pyle. Everyone else just go ahead and pack it in now, Peyton's got it covered from here on out...based solely off the couple of times you heard him talk about football. Yeahhhh.

I can't believe there exists someone out there that classifies anything Bill Simmons writes as "intelligent."

I have a Delorean out back. We can go back to 1969 when the Jets were relevant if you want.

As for Simmons' I don't think he writes intelligently at all, my point was his voice is so bad that it doesn't matter either way.

I don't think I've actually heard him analyze anything. Like in an interview or something?

Yet it's still more legitimate than any of the Pats* superbowls including this year. Set that delorean to 1985 to see how a real Pats* team would fare without *

How would you know what a legitimate super bowl is? Your team hasn't even been since 1969! Do you know what's happened in the world since then?!! Seriously. If eznark wants to judge me with his nfl championships and super bowl wins that's fine.

But where do you come off as a Jets fan saying any of this shit? You can't be smug, your team is a joke, your coach is a joke and you're not even the most popular team in your own city. Get the fuck out of here guy.

Yeah, all kinds of radio and TV interviews breaking down plays and film. I've seen a number of those NFLN pieces where he basically walks the interviewer through different plays and explains what he has seen and why he made the changes he made. He's one of the smartest players to ever play the game, I'd listen to him talk football for an infinite period of time.

Don't worry man, maybe once your team legitimately wins a superbowl you'll know too how it feels.
