Scores from UGO for both Rayman Origins (B+) and Lumines: Electronic Symphony (B) have been posted over at GameRankings. The links to the actual reviews have been taken down due to them inadvertently breaking embargo but those are the scores.

As a point of comparison, they gave Uncharted: Golden Abyss a B and Little Deviants a C-.

James Mielke, half of the reason I'm buying Lumines day one, claims Lumines:ES has a platinum trophy, though GiantBomb and the Internet at large seem to think otherwise.

I'm wondering: don't all retail games have to include a platinum? What are the odds of the lists getting updated/patched day one to include it?

It's not exactly a deal breaker, but it is kind of a bummer that it reinforces the idea that it should have been a downloadable game. Plus, I only aim for 100% in games I love and want to support, so it's sad that I won't even be given an option.

It also seems to have no glaring flaws that need to be pointed out (Wipeout's load times, price concerns with Lumines, etc.). It sounds like it's just about perfect for what it sets out to do.

Ditto. It lacks the stigmas some the other good games have like no mp for Rayman or load times like in Wipeout. Plus it hits at that great downloadable price point.

Honestly I could have almost seen this game get a 10 from IGN.

It seems like that platinum trophies aren't a requirement for retail Vita games, as Touch My Katamari does not have one as well.

I'll get SSD when I can find a PSN card.

Looks like my finalized launch day Vita purchase is the FEB, HSG, UMvC3, Gravity Daze, and a 16 GB card.

Is this confirmed, or are we still going off of possibly incomplete lists? Mielke was pretty clear in his tweet.
Mielke was clear in that Lumines WILL have a Platinum trophy. He didn't specify WHEN it would have a Platinum trophy. It clearly doesn't have one now.

Ninja Gaiden looks nice enough but Brad doesn't seem to think it's 60 fps (which kind of kills any appeal the port held).

I can imagine a LOT of people will be pissed if they have to buy DLC for their platinum.
After a $36/$40 entrance fee just to buy the game? You betcha.

Here's the "incomplete" trophy list in question...

The titles don't stay on the screen when you scroll through a trophy list on the Vita. It's only listed at the top. For retail games, this has traditionally meants you get the title then the platinum trophy then the rest of the trophies. This screenshot is clearly the TOP of the list and platinum trophies have typically not shown up anywhere except right at the top.

I believe there is precedent of some PSN-only game initially not having a Platinum and then having one added later through DLC but I can't for the life of me cite an example.

The list is also transcribed at the URL. No platinum listed...Miele said don't believe everything on the internet and that it would have Platinum multiple times :(

Man...
So not only is Amazon not offering release date shipping for the FEBs anymore, the order i placed yesterday with overnight shipping won't arrive until Friday.

???

I called a couple times and talked to incompetent people.. who all said that's the fastest it can be shipped.
Thinking about just skipping the FEB all together. The case is pretty much the only thing I want from it.

Is 5 days early worth it?
I'll be selling little deviants and the 4gb card.

I'm in the same boat
