i heard about this earlier in a Vita thread...What exactly is the deal here?? any game >8$ will net you 25$ towards hardware? and if yes is this limited to their stupid magazine club card thingee?
Oh I didny see those scores lol.
They don't necessarily score things higher or lower than the average outlet, unless it's Jim Sterling trying to prove that he's elite.

According to the IGN review it's much easier to score goals using the touch to shoot method.
Yea from what I hear the backtouch shoot thing is a good idea, but broken in terms of game balance

Whoa, good thing I looked at this thread today. I preordered a first edition bundle several months ago, but decided to cancel that preorder a few weeks later. Or so I thought. I just went to Amazon to change my 3g preorder to a first edition preorder again only to find that for some reason my original first edition order wasn't cancelled. If I hadn't checked that I would have ended up with 2 Vitas in a week lol.
Nice more people buying the game to get on my leaderboards.

Okay so potentially stupid question here, but how does the PS3 to Vita thing work? Can I play any PS3 games on my Vita if they're connected to the same wireless network or something? Or did I just imagine this feature...
Certain PS3 games will allow you to use Remote Play to play them on the Vita just like the PSP if you are familiar with Remote Play on there.

Just think, you could be playing your launch games tomorrow. A 4GB card should suffice if you're planning on physical media, and a few PSN games at a time.
Not to mention, that awesome case.
It's the same list as the ones that work on PSP. There aren't a whole lot of games that support it though. I wouldn't get my hopes up for Skyrim.
Ugh. I'm considering caving and selling the case & Little Deviants which I have negative interest in. I'm just lazy and worried I wouldn't get sell the shit I don't need. Arghhhh.

Good new page first post.
Watching that Gametrailers livestream from last night. It's hilarious that Shane would say there was no memory card in their Vita, while also saying that he believed there was half a gigabyte of flash memory, and then Michael was saying how he had downloaded Final Fantasy Tactics which was 200mb, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite which was 800mb. There was some bad math going on in that stream. Also, they never showed how much battery their whole stream ate up at the end.
Ok those pics of the Vita Game Case sold me on it. I just ordered that now too. I realized I'll have 5 Vita retail games by the time Ridge Racer comes out, so my FEB case will only hold 4 and that will make me sad. So now I'll have room for 8 games in that case, plus the 4 in the FEB case. Perfect.
Additionally, there might be some interesting games down the line that require GPS and you would never able to play it :-o

Eh, the iphone's screen is positively tiny and low on contrast and color saturation compared to vita's screen. It's probably the biggest oled screen on any affordable device right now.I've had the chance to play the Vita a few times. I expected a "wow" moment with the OLED screen... But I have to say, as someone who regularly uses a 4S with its decent LCD, that just didn't happen. It just looks like a screen. No wow factor at all

Forgetting what everyone here thinks, just ask yourself:
Can I financially afford not to care if I pay $50 or $100 more so that you don't suffer the wait. If the answer yes, click the pre-order button, and stop the suffering.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think any disc-based games are supported (officially anyways), and only a handful of PSN games [can be remotely played].
Yes, hopefully additional skin options make stuff like that changeable later.

Options for folders would be a wonderful addition.
I think that's my real problem with it. It's not the circles. I think they actually look pretty cool and are a nice change...I just hate the placement. And there's certainly enough space to customize it like that so I would like to see it done.

Since there is a base of Android it would be awesome for Sony to allow apps like LauncherPro/GoLauncher to be made for the Vita that created a new UI. Not sure if that's possible or not.

The iphone screen is nicer, and the glass is better. The games available are different than those on the Vita. The controls are different. The available titles are different. The iphone has game series that people will drop $60 for each title, and love, waiting for the sequel to drop.
Even if you're not wow'ed, surely you can see it's a quality device that you'd want to purchase games for. Surely, there are games that either are out, or will be out for the Vita that you'd want to play. End of story.
Yeah, that's an odd omission. Really hope Sony patches in folders sometime soon. I have my iPad games sorted by genre, and would love to do that here as well. Kind of an organization freak that way

Yeah, people look at me weird when they use my ipad/iphone becuase of all my folders lol.
I don't see why. I look at people weird when they go through 5 or 6 pages of apps just to find something.
I say I'm not wowed by the screen and get a lecture on the software library, embarrassing.

Fair point. I apologize. I guess I was just getting sick of reading all kinds of posts saying something comparing the Vita to the iphone, and it wound up as a lecture instead. I didn't mean anything against you at all. You're certainly entitled to your opinion.
