Currently transferring 219 wallpapers from my PC to my Vita via Content Manager. It's going extremely slow. Been at it for about 20 minutes, and it's only transferred 20 wallpapers. Anybody else have this problem or am I doing something wrong?

Also thanks to the poster for linking me to the Youtube video with the Hori screen protector.

That's too slow.

Check your USB cable. Don't use extension. It will slow down transfer like crazy. If possible use mainboard USB not front-USB.

So i guess everyone noticed that wipEout 2048 is now officially $39.99 on amazon now? They are no longer selling it at the $10 discounted price like they are for Hot Shots.

If you are on the fence about Hot Shots, better get it now if you want $10 off... no telling what it will be priced like tomorrow.

I keep asking this but I'm still unsure.

Is 3G really worth it? If I got the WiFi only version, I don't want to miss out on anything. But I also don't want to pay an extra $15-25 to use the 3G service.

Would I miss out on anything if I just got the WiFi only system? That's what I'm worried about.

What version is better the 3G or the wifi or does it even matter?

The 3G offers wireless internet at an insultingly low mb cap per month. I don't see games playing online over 3G as a viable option. I'm sure most games will require wifi to play any sort of online aside from leaderboard postings, etc.

I really don't see the perk of the 3G - like at all. most of us have smartphones, so slow 3g web browsing is already covered. Shrug

According to Near, there are multiple people within a 1.5 KM radius from my house playing Gravity Daze and Ragnarok Odyssey. What the hell!

Fuck the haters and the doom and gloom bastards! Bring on next Wed!! Too loong to wait for FIFA and Uncharted on the go! My 3DS which still only has PES will finally take a backseat.

And for those of us WITHOUT 3G phones... well, I think I'd rather just get one of those for 3G rather than use the Vita. If I could make the Vita share a plan it'd be nice, but even if that can be done I'd have to be tied with AT&T right now, and screw that.

Still, by definition it IS the better version, the real question is whether it's in a way that even matters, and I'm inclined to think "no".

Why is it a system seller? If I want a good MP experience from a COD title I'm playing in on my nice big TV. Not a 5in screen or portable that lacks L/R2 triggers or clickable analog sticks.
Its a system seller because its the best selling game franchise and its never been done well on a portable.
Its a game that will work well on the Vita, IMO.

Unconfirmed but Gamestop may be doing a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale on Vita titles starting Sunday as well.

That'd be good because generally Gamestop's game selection trumps department stores, but they usually don't do sales like this for new games, and there ain't any used Vita games yet.

3G version has more accurate geolocation capability. I bought it because I like to keep my options open. I also travel often and prefer a Vita with built-in 3G to back up my cellphone when overseas. There are 3G aware games/apps/mini-games like Google Maps, Ridge Racer, t@g, etc. but you may or may not appreciate/like them.

So you'll have to see if it's worthwhile for yourself. Don't bang on cheap dataplan just yet. US operators are planning to roll out shared dataplans. No one knows the pricing yet.

Sony has a launch day 3G bundle now. You might want to take a look.

Well the thread is up on CAG. The guy said there was an internal memo about it and the worker there did give him a free game as he scanned his receipt.

Yeah, there's no guarantee I can find everything I could want at Target, but GameStop? More likely!

And Ninja Gaiden IS at 30 FPS? That's disappointing, wasn't the Xbox original at 60?

Yeah it really looks like TN is dropping the ball on Ninja Gaiden. It's super disappointing.

Nice. I'd ask my local GS about it, but they don't even have a vita kiosk yet, so I doubt they'd know anything.

Has anyone here tried ordering from PlanetAxel.com?
They are the ones with the cheap 32GB.

I just ordered and got a confirmation mail but it only says I have ordered and payed for "Handling, routing (and customs*)" and then it goes on to say Order Total: $0.00.

Why is that?

Now I'm worried.

It's something I've been suspecting, a lot of these ports that LOOK like a good idea to me tend to not come out as well as I'd like, especially when they're at launch. To be honest, we're probably lucky that 30 FPS sounds like the only issue this has, while games like Rayman Origins turned out well enough to be given 9s despite lacking a key feature (multiplayer).

Hope you didn't use a debit card. Maybe they're first gen chinese knockoff cards? :)
