Last year disappointed me, and I was going in with a fraction of the hype from this year. We learned about Project Cafe in... April 2011. That was two months before E3.
There's still 3 months til E3 right now ; _ ;
you can't escape the hype of e3.

Honestly, I think they're paranoid about some secret feature being stolen from them. So they're good at it.

If, for example, Microsoft decides to follow Nintendo into Tablet Controllerland, Nintendo might want to hide one or two final features until it's too late for Microsoft to adapt in response..
We need to get leaks from Nintendo through the power of song!

"And we're sending our hype through a train..."
Not necessarily. They could in Wii U incorporate a Memory Expansion compartment, just like the one Nintendo 64 features. But they can just have it there dormant until they think it is safe to unveil it, it could be for example just two weeks ahead of the Xbox Durango/PlayStation 4 release. Let's say Wii U launches with 2GB internal memory while its competitors pack 3-4 GB; they could depending on time intervals between console launches introduce a 4-6 GB upgrade pack which could help them rival Microsoft and Sony, at least in some areas. But that doesn't make sense in this particular case. Nintendo's committed to launching the Wii U this year, while MS and Sony haven't even announced consoles yet. Nintendo could wait until the month of launch to reveal some secret feature, and there would still be room for their competition to adapt.

If developers are aware of these features, Microsoft and Sony are aware of them as well.
But wouldn't that recommend everybody to have an HDD?

But I understand what you are saying, a strategy like the one I suggested wouldn't make sense if Nintendo's playing hardball when it comes to keeping secrets. Because eventually (probably on launch day) someone will figure out what that compartment is for and will probably share this information for Microsoft and Sony to adapt.
Who the hell could count nintendo ninjas. Sounds like the worst idea ever! Sounds like slapping a horse from behind.so how many undercover ninjas are there?
so how many undercover ninjas are there?
What i gathered from the pictures so far: GDC is a dark place.![]()
Come onnnnnnn, the Nintendo booth is so close !
No. That just means GDC badly needs booth babes.
It doesn't show up in pictures. Nintendo's booth is a vampire. No one is taking pictures of Nintendo's booth because they are blown away by it, duh.
Remember the 3DS presentation? Boy, that was awesome. 2 bazillion babes out of nowhere and they where all thethered to the new nintendo handheld. Finally, someone gets it. Wasn't expecting much Wiiwoo related to begin with, but the lack of booth babes really hurts.
Nintendo better bust out their army of babes for E3 2012.![]()

People are eating the iPad 3 announcement like hotcakes.
How can people think this is a good investment?
Because Apple are actually communicating about their product.
To see if the 6-Hat guy has a giant skull?I could really use Samus' x-ray visor right about now..
of course, 2 weeks before the actual launch they comunicate, the Wiiu is still months away at the least.
