Maybe it's the fact that I live in a country where shit like that is statistically low.
No one has license to walk with concealed guns in my country. Aside from hunting rifles and only in uninhabitable parts of Canada.
Even stabbings are statistically low.
So my perspective on this issue is pretty far from what I would assume others would have.
Man I used to walk in area's like reagent park & moss park which were pretty bad areas in Toronto at 1 to 3 am near my dads government housing project and I never got shit. Not by the cops. Nor anyone on the street.
I can't imagine how different it would be in certain parts of America.

Don't feel upset about posting that. It puts shit in perspective. KHarvey and his ilk are so fucking blatantly disconnected with reality or a perspective beyond their fucking computer screen, they're really not worth engaging seriously beyond a certain point. I know that's lulzy coming from me, but he really won't do anything bannable. He'll just sit there and act like someone who has never actually experienced anything beyond his own sheltered existence. Eh, I find there's often areas where 'liberal' people become less liberal. I've known homophobic people that are totally switched on regarding racism, racists that believe in fighting for gender equality etc...
People are fucking complicated and rarely can you neatly categorise them as 'liberal' or 'conservative' and then expect that to tell the full story of their views.

I have to give it to Dave's explanation. When it comes to these subjects you can't tell what will be said. My whole thing right in regards to that thread is the disconnect. I mean people are arguing in regards to what should have happened vs. what went down.

I hate it. And it's not a 1:1 comparison to sucking dick. A penis (I would imagine) is like sucking a meaty finger with two buddies. Everything is on the up and up. I also had hesitations revealing my race after that period but I don't remember what changed that.
It's not just here, though. It wasn't that long ago when I was shocked to find racism in online games while playing AvP1 and after Halo racism in games is the norm. Some of the more popular boards on the web are places where I could never call home due to the pervasive racism embedded into their subcultures and I feel like it is only going to get worse from here.

What I guess is lacking, now, is that people no longer feel the need to hide their racism and this is something that is internet-wide.
