Also, while the $12,000 is impressive. That's really not that much in terms of costs of game development.

To develop a new ending, we are talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars if not a million or two.

DLC with extended ending pretty much confirmed.

You know that iOS app that sends you updates and texts from the games' characters as you proceed throughout the game.

You get sent this message from you LI after you beat it.

Welp, I was in acceptance stage but now I'm back to denial. Feels good!

I think that is from the part of the game when she is in the hospital.

But she says to hang in there.

But it sounds like Shep was hospitalized. When did that happen in the story? Or who is Skipper?

It's probably when Ashley/Kaiden gets knocked out by the Cerberus Robot at the beginning on Mars. You know, as you arrive at the Citadel, you can't actually see Ashley right now, you have to wait a bit.

Well, look on the bright side, guys.

Dragon Age 3's ending can't possibly be worse!

You joke, but change "Mass Relay/Synthetic" with "Magic", I totally see Gaider doing a (spoiler?)
"Everyone becomes a mage" and "No more magic in the world"
ending choices for Dragon Age III. Unfortunately, ME3 release came first :(

The Child's Play thing is the most hilarious manifestation of anything I can think of on the internet in forever. Also right now with 660 contributors the average donation is almost $19, damn.

Sounds like more of a PR push instead of literally donating to develop the game. They will make money for development by sales.

Why does Shep have to hang in there? Wouldn't A/K be the one hanging?

I could have sworn this has been done countless times. Didn't someone give up his/her powers in DA or something?

Pft, DA2 alone convinced me to skip that.
Same here.

....

Confirmed for Shepard being in a mental institution.

It's from Ashley TO Shepard (she calls him and only him skipper). This means shepard at some point is either insane or in the hospital. If she was in the hospital, it would be "let you see me".

She could mean "Wait just a little bit longer, they might let you see me soon", don't despair, I'm ok.

That kind of stuff.

Anyway, statement from Casey Hudson.

I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what situation are the characters left in. That to me is part of what’s exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people can talk about after the fact.

Basically, he doesn't say anything relevant.

So, while I do enoy all the ending talk, I have a quick spoiler question abotu the Geth/Quarian thing.

In my original game I chose [Rally the Fleet] and got the peace, but what does [Warn the Fleet] do? Kill the Geth or get peace in an angrier way than the paragon choice?

Slight correction:
"Everyone becomes a blood mage."

She was hurt not you. She wouldn't say hang in there, she was out for almost all of it including when you keep coming to her and she is comatose. She never comes to visit you. You visit her.

It gives peace.

Ok well...that is her visiting you. So it sounds like a hospital or something. But that does NOT fit with anything in ME3 I had happen or even make sense. So that's seems legit.

Hmm. I did the Control ending BTW so I'd be dead anyway. Might run through again with a destroy to see if I get a message.

I suspect Kill The Geth?

/edit oh, Peace? Sweet

Ya. He says we listen...but has lied a couple dozen times before. Sigh.

Rally makes the fleet attack, while warn tells them to retreat.

Getting voice work done with Bioware is extremely smooth. They talked about it on Giant Bomb, but they do everything by video conference, basically, including the directing. And all the actors are well-versed in Bioware's methods so it wouldn't be difficult at all.

The biggest hurdles would be things like getting permission from EA to create assets for free content. And also the fact that the writers may just like the endings and are satisfied with their work.
So they're all just doing the voice work at home in their underwear? No need to go to a studio? Interesting.

Mystery and endings open for interpretation as endgoals, but produced through lazy and utterly terrible writing?

Hospitalized, or you know, IN JAIL. Like he was AT THE START OF THE GAME.

True but in my game Ashley wanted nothing to do with me at the start of the game and pretty much assumed I was with Cerabus and even stated so many times in the games dialogue. BUt ya. Until others get it at the end we will see.

If it is a glitch, its 1 that has to specifically do with you that also points towards weirdness at the end. Why couldn't it have been a glitch about Vega or something totally unrelated or lacking in double meaning hahahahaha.

It gives peace.
Great. I hope it's something along the line of "Hey you idiots! In 15 seconds the Geth will KILL YOU ALL if you so much as fire ONE shot at them. So DON'T!"

Even my Paragon Shepard wanted to say that. Quarians: Worst sense of timing in the galaxy.

And [Rally the Fleet] had Shepard, Tali and the admiral you rescued pretty much yell at the fleet to "Stand down and that's an order from the admirals!". So, getting the fleet to not be stupid, but without calling them idiots.

Wasn't even aware of the app. Just downloaded and I'm kinda pissed I'm 50% completed on this run and didn't have it.

I was 100% done before I got it. Pretty sure it's missing a bunch, most of the messages seem to be from the second half of the game. I don't really know which way the arrow should point for oldest first... >.<

Best thing about the app is that you can increase your war readiness through a mini-game that's free. So I don't have to do multiplayer if I don't want to,

Yeah it's a pretty neat little sequence. Interesting that the choice didn't even matter that much, it seemed like one of the more dire sequences in the entire game. I was actually getting a little frantic during it lol

Wait, when you say "missing a bunch", is this just a mobile private terminal? Seemed like this gave you content you didn't get in the game.

Wasn't there a conversation between Ashley and Shepard about her not coming to visit him? Pretty sure she didn't even try for whatever reasons I can't remember so yeah, I doubt that message would be related to that.

GET UPDATES FROM YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS: Receive in-app messages from characters in Mass Effect 3 after you interact with them in the game. How many Easter eggs can you unlock?

Miranda mentionned in my game that she was trying to come to see but couldn't but she might have tried to brute force her way through. Grunt mentionned how you are finally free and so on.

The day Ashley/Kaidan visits is probably the day the game starts.

WTF? Lordy lord.

Even further correction based on DA2:
"Everyone was already secretly a blood mage on shit mountain.
Actually:
"Everyone is already a blood mage on shit mountain."

There's no secret about it. Every mage you meet is one.
Including yourself since the option is so easy to tick.
:p

i just noticed that too. very good for my replay.
If you start a NG+ don't you get to keep some of those assets?

Honestly, I kind of like the idea of an app that gets you messages from characters as you progress through a story. I just kind of feel it's weirdly out of place in ME3's setting.

Fuck if it linked to Persona 5 though...

Nah, it's new messages except they seem to start around the time I did Samara's missions or something. Like, I don't have anything relating to Earth at the start or Palaven or Tuchanka. Seems to have things referencing the Geth mission onwards. I assume there are messages for earlier in the game too.

EDIT: An companion app for P5 would be awesome. :o
