Mass Effect 3 SPOILER THREAD: LOTS OF SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE

There's over 300 pages, don't feel like reading all them.

Did anyone ever bring up that when Space Child is giving you the options, Anderson (your friend) is shown choosing to destroy. The Illusive Man (your enemy) is choosing to Control the Reapers.

This itself might not mean much on its own but when you factor in that Control is the blue side and Destroy is the red side, it does.

A lot of decisions are color coded in Mass Effect. Why would your enemy choosing to control the Reapers (what you were fighting against Cerberus for the whole game) be symbolized as the Paragon option? Why would your friend choosing to destroy the Reapers (what you've been trying to do for three games) and all synthetics be symbolized as the Renegade option?

Again. Other than just a massive troll from BioWare, the only other possible explanation to this is that you are in fact, indoctrinated.

Notice Shepherd and his team was believed to be dead and then Hackett talks to you like he knows your alive. Hmmm.

Yes, but what COLOR would that ending be? How much of the original ending could they use?

You are asking too much man. Here take a lavender ending instead.

Yellow, duh. Plenty more colors and spaces on the dialogue wheel after this one, too. Feel free to speculate on the fifth and sixth endings.

Don't forget to buy DLC!

*runs*

Why I oughta...

Seriously. I cannot fathom any reason for this other than a massive practical joke. I actually want to ask who came up with the idea to troll us in such an epic manner, and when the plan started. I dont even feel bad about having spent money on this, as they fooled me so well that I feel like they earned every dime.

As it stands, I don't plan on buying any more bioware games.

Both the facebook post and the tweet have since been deleted. But yah.

They might pull the comments because it's full of spoilers.

Don't worry, they're pulling late nights for an Omega DLC with bikini outfits for all crew members. One in Red, one in Green, and one in Blue. 999 EA bucks each.

And who manages that account anyway? It's probably PR, interns, entry level people. I doubt it's the core dev team or upper management.

As much as I hate this DLC stuff, Mass Effect 3 NEEDS a real ending.

It's just bothering me how this franchise gets no closure. After reading the books, comics and putting hundreds of hours into the games, to get this "ending" is just a slap in the face.

Would Tali be the socially awkward library girl?

Ashley would probably be the energetic athlete.

Liara would be the science nerd!

hmm.... this doesn't work. Too many 'smart folks' on the normandy to make a well balanced harem.

Miranda should be the tsundere while Jack is the yandere.

The bugs from that list I've experienced are one time my Shepard kept twisting her head and another time she kept looking in the wrong direction. The 60 seconds these might have affected me aren't worth mentioning. Other than that, I don't remember many bugs. The PC port was excellent.

At least Bioware's PR Twitter is better-managed than Capcom Euro's.

Its not too late they could still tell people they weren't giving enough or the right kind of feedback for them to understand why people did not like the ending. I could totally see that coming from a PAX panel filled community managers getting assaulted by angry fans.

Good. I would have been utterly disgusted if they charged for a DLC with a less shit ending. Would have set a terrible precedent.

Oh god, those poor souls who will be on that panel.

I legitimately wish the panelists good luck. It is shaping up to being one of the most gloriously awkward/embarrassing panels of all time.

I hope the outrage hasn't diminished over the weekend. Like any good PR release it was released on Friday with the hope people forget or lose interest over the weekend.

Honestly, rather than a nerdmob, I'd like to see an empty audience. Total ghost town. That's the best way to send the message. Co-ordinate with the Tortanic survivors to make sure their panel has no audience.

Ending was fine. little kid bit was weird but still fine. i think the best ending canon wise would be the orange one where all synthetics are destroyed. the boy even mentioned that they would eventually be rebuilt...so you wouldn't have Geth or Reapers but everything else could move forward.

The green ending was neat and the one i chose, but following it up would be very difficult. Other than the boy stuff i don't see the problem.
If the blue ending means everything including the Geth moves forward, with Reapers no longer a threat, then that's supposed to be the best/good ending. Even though Shepard doesn't survive, all he gives up is himself.

Someone misspoke on our Mass Effect channel. We're still gathering feedback to create content that keeps it in mind. Thx 4 understanding :)

I almost feel bad for the PR guys.

Those Facebook and Twitter posts just added fuel to the dwindling fire. Great timing by the Bioware PR team.

If they don't change the ending, even if the outcry dies down after awhile, I'd be genuinely curious to see how low the DLC sales will be.

Ideal panel - a water tank with Mac Walters hoisted above it. Attendees are given beanbags that they can throw at a target with. Hit the target and Walters goes into the tank. Dry and repeat.

But that's like Bioware's 'D' team at this point. Think of all the disappointment you would not be getting =/

Honestly even with the LOLBAD reused environments I had more fun with dragon age 2 (before the ending that is significantly worse than this one somehow) than the vast majority of games released today.

That said I only played it through gamefly so if I paid 60$ I'd probably feel differently about that game.

Bioware is the Catalyst.
Of bad choices?

I've gone like this:

  • ME - :O
  • DAO - :OOO
  • ME2 - :}
  • DA2 - ;'(
  • ME3* - :OO . . . :|
  • DA3 - (probably :|)

So I'm prepared.

*Expectations for ME3 were lowered, will be even more so for DA3. The bar is very low.

I'd like to play Baldur's Gate, but I don't know anything about DD.

If they're just beanbags then I'd rather thrown them at him instead of a target. If they were baseballs? Ehh I don't want to kill the guy, just want to peg him with something though.
