well when there are only 3 good books (of which 2 are characters mainstream gives a shit about) and 3 good books and the rest is rubbish...

like no one saw this coming.

dc is still doing better sales wise though. marvel needs to go with fucking advertising already. and shit like x-sanction shouldnt happen these days.

DC's sales have had diminishing returns since issue one though. What we need are comic books that gain readers as the series goes on. When was the last time an issue 2 sold more than issue 1?

Batman
Animal Man
Swamp Thing

no point, shit stirring I suppose if my only favorite current dc books don't line up with yours

Hey, those are the only three that I buy too.

Anyone going to the Midtown Comics AvX launch event?

Quick notes about some books that are coming out on Wed & next Wed ;) not that I've read any of these.

Walking dead...Does anyone realize nothing really happens in this comic?

AvX #0 & #1...ha! Hmmm...whatever!

Uncanny X-force...Please change artist...

Not that I've read any of these since most of them aren't available and I'm just talking out of my ass...

It's about a book surviving from month to month. I'm also waiting for Uncanny X-Force to switch from Tocchini.

And DC has more than 3 good books *throws things at things*.

Wait how do you know I rarely read DC?

Hyped about Flash, Aquaman and slightly looking forward to Justice League Dark just need to play catch up since I keep picking it up but haven't read past issue #2.

I don't know about Walking Dead read every issue over the past two days as a refresher and started to notice Kirkman's formula and it's totally hackish but to each his own.

Haha! Did you see what they did to Cable?

Oh well. I got what I wanted. More pretty pictures.

Red Hulk is still best Hulk. ^_^

He should be uber powerful now, right?
Since he doesn't need to hold back the techno organic virus with his telekinesis. He should have Nate Grey power levels.

Also, DC has more than 3 good books. I Vampire, Wonder Woman are pretty good too.

New 52 was worth just for Swamp Thing and Animal Man, Snyder was already on Batman.

He's been
cured of it before
but reverted back to his prior state because writers didnt know how to write a character that powerful

We get it.

Secret comics insider.

so they just swapped their range...with characters that are nearly identical. good job marvel.

Deadpool: Blow my mind! If it isn't Nathan Dayspring Askani'son Summers Cable Soldier X! So... Cable... uhm.. why're you looking so constipa-- [the back of Deadpool's head explodes]

Cable: You did tell me to.

Haha saying there is only three good books and not even including Wonder Woman (which is the best).

I'm catching up on the New 52 and trying to see which titles are good enough for me to continue following. Here's what I got so far:

Wonder Woman- The best! Never read more than three issues on Wonder Woman consecutively before this and I'm loving it.

Swamp Thing- Paquette is throwing the crazy layout crown on the ground and just daring JH to fucking take it. Art is baller as fuck. Snyder comes up with a nice tragic story to go along with it.

Animal Man- If Foreman hadn't left the book, it would've probably been my favorite. The book's art really creeped me out and Lemire does the family chemistry better than anyone.

Action Comics- This one's weird because it has been moving a lot slower than normal Morrison. It's good, but it's not All-Star and that's unfairly disappointing.

Batwoman- I need to read this in collections, I can't do it on my iPad, it needs more screen room even with the Retina resolution. So far so good, but peeking around, Rob Hunter and Guy Major butchered the fuck of Amy Reeder's usually great art. Seriously, look at issue #6 (specifically one inked by Hunter) then look at #0. I don't know why Dave Stewart and Richard Friend weren't brought back.

Flash- Like Batwoman, art needs more room. Looks amazing.

Batman- A bit disappointing. Every issue seems to be Batman going "I RUN THESE STREETS" and the Owls going "NUH UH BITCH" right back complete with a lot of exposition from Snyder about how these streets are run. Capullo's art is dope though.

Still to be judged:
All-Star Western, Demon Knights, Supergirl, Frankenstein

Everything Else: Eh to ugh.

I was thinking today, Stephen Lang would make a great damn Cable.

Doubt they'd put him in a movie though.

I gotta read Orchid and Luther Strode!

Oh yeah, flipped through JLA7 today.

Hilarious Batman getting schooled by new superheroes.

Someone scan that and make a UMAD gif. ^_^

I don't think we'll ever get a X-Men movie with tertiary characters :(

Unless you count Generation X made for TV movies

Richard Friend inked her on the second half of Batwoman #6

...so...

....yeah....

lol :(

It's been a while since he's really been featured prominently though. I think he had the most facetime in the recently concluded X-23 series recently.

dude should be figured prominently in the recycling bin

Loved him in the old cartoon, but I can see why lots of people dislike him in the comics. Same with Rogue the whole faux accent thing really doesn't translate well in text. Makes every line of dialogue sound way too hokey when every "I" is suddenly an "Ah" and so on.

I do hate him and think he's lame but that was just an easy line. I mean, Longshot is my favorite X-Man so I can't front.

It's amazing how Paquette has grow. I didn't like his work while he was on the Marvel camp, but his DC stuff, specially Swamp Thing is awesome!

I was sad that Foreman is leaving Animal Man. Always liked his style. I never understood why Marvel didn't give him more books after the amazing Ares original mini, but frankly my favorite pages from the last issue of Animal Man were draw by Steve Pugh and not Foreman. I was surprised. I think the book is in good hands!

But I disagree with you on Batman. Snyder is great. I'm not a Batman fan, and I'm loving the book.

Anyone have any thoughts on the World War Hulk series that are on sale today with comixology?

I'm definitely going to pick up the World War Hulk mini but were the Frontline and Skaar series good too? I'm a huge Hulk fan but haven't read any of this stuff.

World War Hulk is almost Civil War level awful.

It you like events with non-endings, then you'll enjoy this.

I'd suggest checking out a copy at your local library.

Onomatopoeia: The Series is stupid fun. Frontline and the Skaar series are kinda meh. If you need to pick up one of the WWH tie-ins, find WWH: Xmen or the issues of Incredible Hulk

WWH was aight but planet hulk is way better. There no real drama in WWH because no one...NO ONE can stop him...and the only one who could've (Ghostrider) said fuck it he's not guilty. Some great fights, its all action and beat downs. If you read Planet and World War Hulk as one long saga its good, thats really the only way to read it.

WWH was dumb but somewhat enjoyable, since it's on sale i'd recommend checking it out. I'd avoid buying anything outside of the main event though.
