LOL. you're a good guy, Mario. :D

Damn, always miss those codes. Heh.

And Max Payne is not up in the US. Be mindful of regions on Wednesday release days (it'll be up at 8 PM PDT)

Thats seriously awesome of you to do stuff like that. I love seeing devs interacting with Gaffers. I'll be stalking your posts. Seriously.

Golly, you are a gentleman, Mario - many thanks. Apologies if my post was seen as a blatant play for a code!

Wishing you great commercial success and positive karma,
oipic

No problem.

I often have a couple of extra codes up my sleeve in case somebody misses out. In this case with the release of a new update, we have access to another 50 codes, so I'm happy to blow through my existing stash.

I really need to pay more attention to this thread everyday.

WTF IS GOING ON????

I SEE TOUCHIES BUT I SEE ARROWS...

o_O.

Each button has five possible inputs, each representing a different character. You have to flick if the desired input isn't the button's default, hence the name Miku Flick.

The game isn't normally that hard - Break The Limit is just silly and has you attempt to type every last lyric to the song. The normal difficulty levels only make you type selected characters.

Could someone give step-by-step instructions for the Bluetooth multiplayer in Spelltower? My girlfriend and I can't get our phones to find each other, and I wonder if we're missing something.

I think I'll go for Crow today, and save Max Payne and Burnout for later or a sale, whatever happens first. Still committed to driving down my backlog, so I'm not too fussed about downloading multiple big games right now. Crow looks cool though. Roll on lunchtime (he says at 9am...)

So is Lost Winds worth it? Curious now that it's 99c and optimized for retina.

These questions do my head in. Let's rephrase the question - what is 99c worth to you? Is it worth a gamble? If you get ten mins play, does that count as your money's worth?

I say buy the game, then you tell us if it's good or not.

I've not played it but I hear the controls let its own. Ymmv.

Jesus Christ. Spare me the sermon.

I'm just asking if anybody here has played it and liked it.

I've got like 5 bucks left on a gift card (the only way I buy apps) so yeah, I have my reasons for asking. Not that it's any of your business why I should care about spending 99c.

It's just jarring when people hand-wring over a 69p purchase. Not that you don't have good reason, but it's just a bit weird to read.

I'm in a similar boat now. After months of 'just buying' every game I wanted, the costs really start to add up. Not to mention the fact that my backlog could fill 30 iPhones. Time to start 'umming' and 'aahing' over 69p games.

5 bucks for burnout? lol ill be waiting for an EA sale on that one.
I just bought it, knowing that it'll be on sale within a fortnight. My impulse control is appalling.

It's totally my business how you spend your money. I deserve to know and I must know!! How much was your lunch today? What is your annual income? How many games have you got? Was the gift card an actual gift or did you buy it for yourself? Did it feel weird buying yourself a gift? Speaking of which, what did you get for Christmas last year? How is your relationship with your parents? Only child?

Um... Well how about just going back a few pages (maybe with the assistance of a little ctrl f), I have certainly seen a smattering of impressions.

And if you think that's a sermon, ask me about gameloft some time...

I hear you, but who's handwringing? I was asking for a simple thumbs up or thumbs down from GAF. Or should I not care and just buy every 99c game that looks vaguely interesting and end up with a massive backlog of shit I'll never touch and a not insignificant bill to show for it?

Otherwise, what's the point of this thread? Should we implement a rule stating the minimum price for a game before you can ask questions about it without being prosthelytized to?

But you asked if its worth it, to which my answer was along the lines of asking what 99c is worth. That's my point, it's this crazy valuation of pennies in a culture where it costs me £1.50 to even get cash out from a cashpoint... We are at a point where considerations of storage space are more important than the cost of games, for the most part. And of course it's worth 99c, real people spent months of their lives on it, that's worth a handful of anyone's pennies. And surely, if they've created something that you even find interesting, it's worth the money for their time and effort?

If you had asked "is it good?" you would have got a nicer answer. Anyway, you havent answered my questions yet, so I take personal offence and have added you to my vendetta list. Beware!!

Like you said Dave, it's weird but the costs really do add up - if you bought every game that's even regarded as 'good' on iOS (as it's so easy to do) you're looking at potentially thousands (or even tens of thousands!) of pounds... it's not really like a console where the purchases are big and you maybe buy one game a week, one game a month or whatever, it's so accessible you can easily buy 10 in a day if you were so inclined - that's probably why people are growing more reluctant just to take a chance on a game now. Even today, three really big games were released.

Anyhow, finally got around to playing GrooveCoaster - meh, meh, meh and meh. The gameplay is uninspired, and the music is pretty much terrible. I'm only onto my 8th song I think, but really struggling to find the motivation to keep playing
