Be defending the people who did this you are saying violence is acceptable and okay.
Violence is acceptable and its okay.

holy fuck. yal realize this is WSHH? why the hell would you even expect to talk about morals when its WSHH?

its like going to a porn discussion and saying that more women should cherish their chastity
It wasn't one on one. Someone was holding the camera and you know they'd get involved if it went the other way.

I can't believe people think this is somehow warranted because she chatted some breeze. Am I within my rights to deck the people that I perceive as 'shit-talking' in this topic? (internet tough-guy stuff aside).

Its completely unwarranted - its fucking twitter and a girl getting drug out her own house to get stomped out.

but unwarranted shit happens all the time. especially between minors. and WSHH loves this stuff. its encouraged.

I heard the girl with the camera telling Warrior Princess to stop, sounded to me like she wasn't expecting things to go down like that at all. I doubt she was planning on joining in. Either way it was one on one and the shit talker lost. In a couple of weeks her bruises will be healed and life will go on.

Violence is acceptable and its okay.

If you honestly believe this, you are what's wrong with this world.

The real question is when is violence okay then? When you are eyeballing someone? When you say he is stupid? When you say he's phony? When you tell him he is a motherfucker? Where is the line where a person deserves a proper beating?

It never is acceptable to attack someone over words of any kind.

None of that changes the fact that this is not how civilized adults roll. At all. Totally unjustified.

You've got to be pretty fucking insecure to let a little twitter chatter (or any other kind) rattle you like that. Deep down she probably knew that the smack-talk was truth.

Violence is not the answer to "talking shit", ignoring it is. Violent scum like this don't belong in society, and neither do people that would defend them.

I'm not defending the person who went out and beat the shit out of this girl. I'm not apologizing for her actions either.

I am, however, questioning the common sense of someone who chose to invite violence to their doorstep. Violence isn't the answer, you're right, but talking shit isn't a good idea either. You can control what you do and what you say, you cannot control how others react to what you do or say, so talking shit (even if you're correct) is never a smart move, publicly or privately.

I totally agree with you guys. Violence is never the answer to ANYTHING. Grow the fuck up and learn to solve problems like real men...WITH WORDS!

What the fuck could she have said over twitter that justifies a beating like this, that's what I want to know.

That said, I hope they lock this woman up and throw away the key. Get a hold of yourself.

Also, in this day and age, when someone gets in your face and someone else has a camera phone pulled out, you can basically guarantee the person is there with the express intent to beat the shit out of you. Again, common sense.

Someone needs to get a PSA going to educate people on how to hold their fucking cameras. Getting real sick of having good videos ruined. Do these idiots turn their TVs sideways as well? No? Then don't do it with your phone.

Isn't it funny just how at the end of the video the person recording is all like "okay, that's enough." What the fuck?

Neither of them looked like adults to me. Kids do dumb shit and hopefully grow out of it eventually. I got in fights as a kid, I'm sure a lot of people have, it's not that big of a deal. I'm an adult now and I function in society rather well. No jail time needed.

The way I look at is, the one girl was being bullied and she stood up for herself. "Talking shit" is a very effective way of bullying and can cause significant emotional trauma. How many stories have we heard about some poor kid committing/attempting suicide, after being antagonized by their schoolmates over social networking sites?

I'm not disagreeing with you that this woman should be charged and prosecuted.

I hope people aren't insinuating that I think this girl deserved to get beat down. No where did I say this. I simply said that if you're going to shit talk someone, you need to accept the reality wherein they respond with fist and foot. People are irrational, so don't invite something as irrational as violence by aggravating their irrational tendencies for said violence.

Person taping it obviously didn't want it to go that far either.

Do you know what has been said over Twitter?

If not, please refrain from spreading elaborate nonsense about emotional trauma and all that.
Some people just fly completely off the handle with very little provocation.

So you know exactly what was said over twitter and you think it wasn't a big deal?

Sounds like neither of you know. I'm holding off judgment till someone tells me what was said. I'd like to think nothing could make me do that but there is some shit talk that crosses the line.

So you know exactly what was said over twitter and you think it wasn't a big deal?

No. I don't claim to know what has been said here.
All I know is that harsh words over twitter don't ever justify going berserk on another human being like this.

No, but it's still sick that the person was like "yeah, you're gona beat her ass! let me film it!" Bunch of scumbags.
Don't know about you guys, but the first thing I was taught in my shitty neck of the woods is to never break up a fight... seemed like the general consensus last time I checked.

Also, I can't even think of a fight, or heated dispute, that didn't have cell phone cameras involved. Kids are kids - they hear about a fight starting, they're gonna gather around. That's nothing new or special.

I find your speculation extremely implausible.

we have a very basic idea based on the 'fake as fuck' comment. maybe something about her behaviour? her attitude or something along those lines.

doesn't sound very much like any bullying went on and i doubt there was any emotional trauma.

I agree 100%. Fucking trash is what she is.

you don't stomp somebody out then throw them off their own porch without some sort emotional trauma

i doubt it was from being bullied or anything like that though...

still, i'm somewhat amused by GAF's willingness to delve into the logic and morals behind a worldstarhiphop beatdown clip.

Anytime I see someone lay into another person like that I immediately think they have some kind of mental issues. There is nothing said over Twitter that should cause someone to fly off the handle like that. (I'd love to be corrected on this) Oh and the person filming is a scumbag too.

"Your sister deserved to get raped."

Just sayin' dude.

I don't know I can come up with some pretty vile shit in less than 140 characters.

If we're to delve further down the route we're going, given the "fake as fuck" comments, it could've been something as simple as, "U fake as fuck. Come meet me @ my spot and ill prove whos real. #stopfony"

Try me, and leave your address. ;)

Look a couple posts up. What if something like that was said? Or you had a family member who died and someone joked about it? Never underestimate the power of words.

This particular beat down was probably some stupid shit. But really, let's not pretend there are some things that would make each of us snap.

there's emotional trauma and then there's 'emotional trauma'. i'm going to go ahead and say this is a case of 'emotional trauma'. something was said, girl, egged on by her friends took offense to the extreme and decided the best way to hash it out was to go over to the others house and take a piece out of her ass.

i've seen this first hand, fights break out because someone insulted the others weave or because their trainers weren't as 'pimp' as someone else's.

Isn't it a tad ironic that you are trying bring good morals to this discussion?

Not trying to bring morals into it at all. Just not feeling any sympathy for the shit talker and think kids will be kids. Hopefully they both learn something from this.

Uhh, violent people do this all the time without suffering from emotional trauma first.
now you're just talking out your ass... like uninspired crazy is just rampant in the streets.

you typically watch a few asswhoopings like this in order to get to the point where you can deal one out yourself. trouble at home, shitty family situation, neighborhood, traumatic events in the past mold this stuff. most people who grow up in a happy home don't go around stomping people out.

im definitely not saying that a tweet burned 10 years of anguish into her

I'mma gettin' my ass kicking boots on!

Maybe there was some kind of continued emotional issues between these two that we're unaware of. It's just hard to understand anyone beating someone's ass like that over a twitter altercation. Maybe I'll be more able to wrap my mind around it with some coffee.

Most of the beat downs I saw at school the people knew each other for like years and pent up hostilities finally got the best of them. One would say something and it was like "oh shit it's on." The worst fights at my school were girl on girl, some went straight up fisticuffs and there was even an episode in which one broke the other's nose and she bled all over my friend's shirt.

I'd like to take a brief intermission to say that even though beatdowns are harsh, I'm glad we can all conduct ourselves like civilized people and have a decent discussion about this.

WSHH gives you an unfortunate reality check. I feel like it's much more startling for people who lived in violence-free neigbourhoods though. Shit like this happens all the time. I think what you need to be really upset about is the stuff you don't see captured on a cellphone camera and uploaded to the internet. Be happy that morons like this incriminate themselves, know what I mean?
